This week on Agony Aunties, they answer a listener's heartfelt question about what happens when a relationship begins to feel different. After two and a half years together, her boyfriend seems less affectionate, leaving her questioning whether this is simply the natural evolution of long-term love or a sign that something deeper has changed. The Agony Aunties explore why we so often create stories in our minds before having the conversation we most need to have, how old attachment patterns can shape our fears in relationships, and why vulnerability - not mind-reading - is the key to real intimacy. They also share practical tools from Esther Perel, the Gottmans and Terry Real on bids for connection, love languages, and how to have difficult conversations with warmth rather than blame. If you've ever found yourself analysing texts, worrying you've become 'too much', or wondering how to reconnect with your partner, this episode is for you. If you have ever asked yourself what is wrong with me, or wondered why you take everything so personally, this episode is for you. Sabrina sits down with licensed psychologist Dr. Jacob Ambrose to unpack rejection sensitivity, why one comment can send you into a spiral, and where that deep fear of not being enough actually comes from. They get into the childhood core beliefs that convince you the problem is you, and how anxious attachment keeps you chasing outside validation just to feel okay on the inside. From limerence and obsessive thinking to the anxious avoidant dynamic, holding onto hope after a breakup, and the myth of being discarded, this conversation reframes the traits you were taught to hate about yourself as the exact things that make you powerful. If you are ready to stop the self-attack, understand your patterns, and choose yourself instead of shrinking to keep everyone comfortable, press play, babe. Yesterday, President Trump repeatedly declared that “There is something wrong” with the leaders of Iran. He's absolutely right, fundamentally, because the current crop – like all their predecessors – are sharia-supremacists. As such, they will do everything possible to destroy unbelievers, including fellow Muslims they consider to be apostates and certainly us. To that end, they'll employ every instrument from deception to political subversion to violent jihad. The same is true of Ahmed al-Sharaa, the erstwhile al Qaeda commander who is now, with the backing of the sharia-supremacist regimes in Turkey and Qatar, the president of Syria. Tragically, Mr. Trump is being blindsided by such false friends and even some of his own subordinates to construe Sharaa-tied jihadist attacks on Christians, Druze and other minorities as laudable “stabilization” of that long-suffering country. Mr. President, there's something very wrong as well with the Syrian leadership. This is Frank Gaffney.

For decades, Latter-day Saints have been encouraged to study the scriptures deeply and seek personal revelation. But has the Church's increasingly structured "Come, Follow Me" curriculum changed the way members engage with scripture? Is there something wrong? In this episode, a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints raises thoughtful questions about the balance between guidance and independent study, and study questions about scripture content versus the feelings of the reader. Is the curriculum so highly curated that members are only encountering selected passages and approved interpretations? Are important stories, difficult texts, problematic narratives, and broader scriptural themes being overlooked as a result? And what is gained—or lost—when scripture study becomes increasingly correlated and standardized? Do members of the LDS church think they are studying and reading the scriptures when in reality they aren't?This podcast uses the following third-party services for analysis: Podcorn - https://podcorn.com/privacy

We'll look at where you actually are financially, where the panic is coming from, and what it would take to make a slow season feel like a season instead of an emergency. Book yours at consciousedge.com/capacity. You know the feeling. Revenue is down. What was working isn't working as well. And before you can even think about what to do, your brain has already decided you must be doing something wrong. You're not. Businesses cycle. The way real estate cycles. The way the stock market cycles. The dip is often the nature of running a business in a real economy. In this Monthly Money Talks, Alecia and her financial strategist Jenn Baas of Peak to Peak Solutions get into what's in your control when the market shifts, how much cash to actually keep on hand, the peace tax, and why adaptability matters more than stability if you want to still be in business ten years from now. If you've ever felt the panic of an unexpected slow season and wondered if you should be doing something different, this conversation will reset what a slow season actually means.

Have you ever created something you were really excited about like a challenge, program, product regimen, or even free content, and then felt discouraged when people didn't actually follow through or finish it?It's really easy to assume that means you did something wrong, or that you need to change everything. (And you might!
You said yes. And the second the word left your mouth, you knew you meant no.Maybe you felt it in your stomach. Maybe you smiled and said of course and spent the next three days quietly dreading it. And then, because this is the part nobody talks about, you felt guilty for even having a limit at all.In this episode, we will get honest about why so many of us don't set boundaries even when we know we should, and why the guilt we feel when we finally do isn't evidence that we did something wrong. It's evidence that we're changing a pattern. Those two things feel identical from the inside. But they are not the same.I will share a personal story about what it actually costs to keep saying yes to everything, and the moment that made it impossible to keep pretending the pattern wasn't a problem. Then we will break down the guilt loop: how it works, why it's so hard to interrupt, and what it takes to hold a line without burning a relationship to the ground.Feeling guilty doesn't mean you did something wrong. It means you're changing a pattern. And different, even when it's necessary, is always going to feel uncomfortable before it feels right.IN THIS EPISODE YOU WILL LEARN: → Why we don't set boundaries even when we know we should→ What a boundary actually is — and what it isn't→ The identity behind the always-available pattern — and how to update it→ The guilt loop explained: how to recognize it and interrupt it→ The resentment diagnostic — how to find exactly where you need to start→ Five scripts for: family asks, one-sided friendships, the mental load, pushback after a no, and protecting personal timeDownload the 5 scripts here: https://real-talk-scripts.lovable.app/Subscribe to the Morning Brew: https://leadingyourself.myflodesk.com/mondaybrew

Send Gemma a messageIn today's episode, I answer a short but powerful question that came in anonymously:“Hi Gemma, I cannot even get a match, let alone a date. What the hell is wrong with me?”If you've ever stared at a dating app wondering why nothing is happening and quietly concluded “it must be me”, this episode is for you.I'll look at three key areas:The reality of modern dating apps – why they create a distorted, “smorgasbord” environment where incredible, emotionally available people are often overlooked.Other people's issues – how emotional immaturity, avoidance and misaligned intentions show up on the apps (and why you can't control that).Your schemas and your “type” – how schema chemistry and rigid “type” criteria might be leading you towards emotionally unavailable partners and away from people who could actually be good for you.I'll invite you to:Re-examine how you're presenting yourself on the apps (without becoming a slave to what you think men want).Widen the pool by giving a chance to the “6 or 7 out of 10” guys (ie, the level of chemistry you feel! I'm not rating people!) who feel kind, calm and safe – rather than only chasing the intense 10/10 chemistry.Remember that your worth, lovability and desirability are not measured in matches. If you're feeling discouraged or asking “what's wrong with me?”, I want you to know: you are not the problem. Dating apps are hard and your current results say nothing about your deeper value or your capacity for a healthy, loving relationship. In this episode, you'll learn:Why so many wonderful women and emotionally available men get passed over on dating appsHow our throwaway, dopamine-driven culture affects the way people swipeWhy leading with highly sexualised photos can accidentally screen out good menHow schema chemistry pulls you towards what's “familiar” rather than what's healthyHow to gently expand beyond your usual “type”Practical ways to pace yourself and protect your emotional wellbeing while datingResources mentioned:Free guide: Dating with Insight – download via the link in the show notes.Love Wisely – my 12-week online group program for women who want to break their pattern of choosing emotionally unavailable, narcissistic or avoidant partners.
