Hebrews 13:5–6 offers a powerful reminder that God’s presence is unwavering, even in moments of rejection, fear, or emotional pain. In this devotional, Emily Rose Massey reflects on the deep wounds that come from feeling abandoned or dismissed, and how those experiences can linger long after the moment has passed. Through personal reflection and Scripture, she points readers back to the unchanging truth that God does not forsake His children. Highlights Emotional wounds from rejection can linger and shape how we trust others. Human relationships are imperfect, but God’s presence is constant and unchanging. Hebrews 13:5–6 reassures believers that God will never forsake them. Jesus personally experienced rejection, betrayal, and abandonment. God’s faithfulness provides healing for deep emotional pain. Forgiveness is a pathway to freedom from bitterness and resentment. Our identity is secured in God’s love, not human approval. Drawing near to God brings comfort in seasons of emotional distress. Full Transcript Below: God Doesn’t Reject His Children By: Emily Rose Massey Bible Reading:“…for He Himself has said, ‘I will never desert you, nor will I ever forsake you,’ so that we confidently say, ‘The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. What will man do to me?’” (Hebrews 13:5b-6, NASB). I woke up one morning recently crying after having a very vivid, heart-piercing dream. It was almost as if my current heart-struggle was being played out right before me; I could honestly see this dream happening in reality. The words spoken (in the dream) to my husband and me cut to the core, and they hurt so badly that my first reaction was tears so strong they stained my cheeks when I awoke. Being a storyteller allows for intense dream-tales in my mind while I’m supposed to be resting, sleeping. It’s something I have always dealt with since I was a child- I wake up trying to shake the mental visions, telling myself over and over again that it’s not real. Eventually, the emotions fade, and I can go on with the rest of my day. In this recent instance, I had trouble getting past the pain and just began talking to God about it. It was obvious and simple- I was still dealing with rejection, and it still hurt, but I was reminded that there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother (Proverbs 18:24). Although Proverbs 18:24 doesn’t necessarily say that friend is Jesus, I know that He will always be there for me even when everyone else fails me. Scripture tells us that God never leaves us or forsakes us in Deuteronomy 31:6. This truth from the Old Testament about our never-changing God is also stated again as a reminder in Hebrews 13, along with this powerful truth that people will fail us, and people may reject us, but we should not fear, for God is on our side. He is our helper. “…for He Himself has said, ‘I will never desert you, nor will I ever forsake you,’ so that we confidently say, ‘The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. What will man do to me?’” (Hebrews 13:5b-6, NASB). Intersecting Life & Faith: When we face rejection from others, we must remember that Jesus understands rejection better than anyone, as He has experienced it firsthand. Many people rejected Jesus (and continue to do so) while He was here on earth, even one of His very own disciples (Judas), rejected Him and betrayed Him. And just a couple of hours later, another one of His closest disciples (Peter) rejected knowing Him. Three times to be exact. Aren’t you so thankful for Jesus’ forgiveness when we turn our backs on Him! He gives us so many opportunities to repent and make things right in our relationship with Him! His mercies towards us are new every single morning… oh, what love! Has the pain of rejection made it difficult for you to trust others? Lay that pain at the foot of the cross, friend. God can bring healing to the wounds of those who have hurt you and empower you to choose to forgive. Instead of allowing bitterness to take root in your heart, perhaps you should ask the Lord to bless those who have hurt you, even if they don’t want you in their life anymore. Jesus was rejected, yet He took the punishment of our sin out of love for those who would put their trust in Him. No matter how much man rejects us, we must remember that Jesus is the friend who sticks by us no matter what. He will never leave you nor turn His back on you. The Lord understands our pain regarding rejection, and His arms are open wide, so let us be quick to draw near to Him. Lo, He is always with you…even to the end of the age! Patrick K. O'Donnell reflects on Robert E. Lee's monumental decision at Appomattox to reject guerrilla warfare and surrender, putting country before Confederacy. Grant offered honorable terms, leading to a respectful surrender overseen by Joshua Chamberlain. After the war, John Singleton Mosby forged an unlikely friendship with Grant, becoming a Republican campaign manager in Virginia. Despite being ostracized by former Confederates, Mosbyserved as a consul in Hong Kong and mentored a young George S. Patton. His legacy in irregular warfare and maneuver tactics continues to influence modern American special operations to this day. (8)1865

In this profound episode of School of Divine Mysteries, the Mahdi Aba Al-Sadiq explores the hidden spiritual realities behind prophecy, testing, and human destiny, joined in conversation by his disciple Tiffany. This episode delves into the forgotten covenant of the souls, the world before creation, and why this physical life is not a first test—but a reenactment of an ancient one. Through deep Qur'anic insights, prophetic narrations, and esoteric knowledge, the discussion uncovers how inner belief and disbelief manifest across lifetimes, why divine tests repeat, and how free will, destiny, and spiritual purification truly work. The conversation also examines envy as the root of spiritual downfall, the unseen burden of divine authority, and why even prophets and messengers were tested with humility and self-knowledge. Using powerful symbolism, timeless myths, and sacred history, this episode challenges common assumptions about righteousness, leadership, and what it truly means to be chosen by God. Viewers are invited to reflect on envy, obedience, reincarnation, the Rajʿah (Return), and the mercy embedded in divine justice—making this episode essential viewing for anyone seeking deeper understanding of Islamic mysticism, the Ahlul Bayt, and the spiritual mission of the Mahdi in our time.

In this episode, we examine a striking shift in biblical scholarship: fewer and fewer experts now affirm that Jesus is the only true God. I compare two major surveys published in 2025 that reveal the same trend among everyday American Bible readers — a clear majority no longer believe Jesus is God. At the same time, interest in Unitarianism is surging. Rosaria Butterfield uses the story of a WWII Japanese soldier who hid in a cave for 27 years to illustrate how false beliefs trap us in bondage. Though legally free when the war ended in 1945, the soldier refused to believe the war was over, remaining captive to his false convictions. Many Christians experience similar spiritual bondage they believe they're forgiven through Christ's blood but don't truly believe they're free from sin's patterns, habits, and thoughts. Butterfield provides eight practical points for starving sin, beginning with making your calling and election sure. Reject the cave of sin's bondage by embracing your true identity and freedom in Christ. Topics: Sin, Freedom in Christ, Identity in Christ, Spiritual bondage, Sanctification

“Why do you reject the papacy?” This question opens a discussion on authority within the Church, touching on the necessity of a papal figure and the implications of such leadership. Other topics include the role of Mary and the Eucharist, as well as concerns about the treatment of statues and experiences with controlling religious groups. Join the Catholic Answers Live Club Newsletter Invite our apologists to speak at your parish! Visit Catholicanswersspeakers.com Questions Covered: 04:00 – Pope Leo on Nations 07:15 – The original precepts of Catholicism are fine by me, but I don't agree with the “fine print.” For example, I agree with the idea of a need for authority and headship, but I don't see the need for a papacy and all the things that go along with that. 20:57 – I don't agree with the idea of Mary being protected from being able to commit sin. I also feel like the filioque rejects the Trinity. Also my problem with the Eucharist is how could it be him if he instituted it when he was still alive? 29:05 – I feel like Catholic treatment of statues is kind of like worshipping the golden calf. 40:19 – It doesn't seem right for people to be bound by a particular opinion of the pope. That prevents people from thinking and coming up with an answer that makes sense. 47:32 – I got involved with this group and felt like I was being fed spiritually. They claimed to be baptist. But it got more and more controlling. Once they told me I am no longer myself and I was someone else. Once they laid me down and there was some kind of thing sucking out of my mouth and a electric feeling on my forehead. It got more controlling. They told me where to work. Have you ever heard of this? Is it a cult?

Today, Paul M. Neuberger tackles the corporate sacred cow: DEI—diversity, equity, and inclusion. It's everywhere. It's celebrated. It's untouchable. But is it biblical? Is it of God—or just another idol from the culture's altar?Paul M. Neuberger doesn't flinch. He calls out favoritism. He exposes the empty promises. He opens the Word and rips the mask off cultural conformity. The cost? Criticism. Marginalization. Outrage. But Jesus is still Lord—even when truth makes enemies. Even when courage costs you. What about you? When your workplace pushes the latest ideology, will you fold or will you fight—for truth, for Christ, for unity rooted in the Gospel?"Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will." –Romans 12:2Episode Highlights14:26 - The Bible teaches equal value. It doesn't teach equal outcomes. Those are not the same thing. Modern DEI ideology often focuses heavily on outcomes. Who got promoted, who got hired, who got accepted, who got recognized, who achieved success. And then it frequently works backwards from those outcomes to determine whether discrimination must have occurred. But Scripture focuses on something extremely different.19:01 - One of the reasons that I personally believe that DEI conflicts so strongly with a biblical worldview is because it often reintroduces something that scripture repeatedly condemns, favoritism. It may be packaged differently, it may use different language, it may be presented as progress. But at its core, favoritism is still favoritism. And God has never, ever been a fan of it.43:26 - Are we going to allow culture to shape our beliefs? Or are we going to allow scripture to shape our beliefs? Are we going to seek the approval of man? Or are we going to seek the approval of God? Are we going to remain silent when truth becomes unpopular? Or are we going to stand with courage, conviction, grace and love? Every generation of Christians faces these defining moments.Connect with Paul M. NeubergerWebsite
The hardest part of changing your yard isn't the shovel work, it's the moment you decide the “perfect lawn” game isn't worth playing anymore. I'm continuing our three-part series on growing a rebel garden with the second phase: Reject. If you've ever felt stuck between keeping 100% turf and going 100% native, I'll show you the wide, realistic middle ground where a small, intentional garden can shift your whole landscape over time.We dig into the real reasons people don't start: fear of what neighbors will think, fear it'll look messy, fear you'll kill plants, and fear you're signing up for more work. I make the case for rejecting perfection and choosing participation instead. Your first rebel garden can be small (I recommend staying under 250 square feet), flexible, and designed for easy wins. I'll also walk you through a quick site reality check so you pick a spot you'll actually see, enjoy, and maintain while it establishes. Then we get practical: safety and planning. Before you dig, call 811 for utility locates. It's free, it's simple, and it protects you and your property. Finally, we tackle the most controversial step for many homeowners: removing turf. I explain the tension around using glyphosate as a one-time transition tool, why purpose and frequency matter, and what alternatives look like if you want to avoid chemicals. The goal stays the same: move away from ongoing chemical dependency and build a low-input, wildlife-friendly native plant garden that supports pollinators, birds, clean water, and healthy soil.If this matches your values, join me for the 10-day Rebel Garden Challenge starting June 19th. Subscribe, share this with a neighbor who's tired of lawn upkeep, and leave a review so more people can find a better way to grow.Join A Rebel Garden in Ten Days Challenge!Learn more about getting your own Rebel Garden at ABetterYard.org.
Crystal Rivers | Open Book | Jun 9, 2026 The life of Christ is already within you by the Holy Spirit, and that life is not passive. It is power, wisdom, righteousness, redemption, sanctification, and glory working inside you. You are not called to live as a shallow believer who is easily moved by offense, fear, temptation, sickness, deception, or the pressure of men. You are called to be rooted, grounded, established, and built up until Christ is fully formed in you. The goal of your life is not merely to be successful, famous, wealthy, or influential in this world; the true goal is to grow into the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. The Holy Spirit is in you for specific purposes. He saves you, builds you, changes you, matures you, and works through you. He is not given merely for spiritual excitement or outward display, but to bring you into the image of Christ and make you useful in the agenda of God. Every believer has a ministry, and the offices of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers exist to equip the saints so the whole body can grow, serve, and come into maturity. You are not meant to remain a child tossed about by every doctrine, every offense, every temptation, or every scheme of darkness. You are meant to grow until you can stand, discern, overcome, and minister life. Understand that growth comes with testing. When the word of God enters your heart, tribulation may arise for that word's sake. When you decide to walk in healing, sickness may challenge you. When you decide to walk in purity, temptation may confront you. When you decide to obey God, contradiction may arise. These tests do not mean you should turn back. They are opportunities for Christ to be formed in you. If you stumble, rise again. If you fall, get up. If you are wounded in the race, keep moving toward the finish line. What matters is not that you never face difficulty, but that you refuse to abandon the race. You must learn to fellowship with the power of God within you. Feed on the word of God. Pray in the Holy Spirit. Fast when necessary. Ask questions in the presence of God. Train your spirit to hear, receive, and respond. Do not live casually with the Holy Spirit. Reverence His presence. Pay attention when the word is being opened. Build a daily practice of prayer, scripture, obedience, and surrender. Access to God has been given to you through the blood of Jesus, but depth in that access is cultivated through fellowship, discipline, hunger, and practice. You must also learn to use the name of Jesus. The authority of the believer is not reserved for a few special people; it belongs to those who believe. In His name, you can resist darkness, cast out devils, lay hands on the sick, govern your environment, pray over your children, speak life over your body, and confront the works of the enemy. Begin where you are. Use the authority of Christ over your own life, your home, your children, your body, your mind, and your assignment. Do not wait until you feel mature before you begin to practice faith. Practice is part of growth. The power of God operates in different dimensions. There are gifts of the Spirit, including gifts of healings, miracles, wisdom, knowledge, and discernment, but there is also the power within that every believer must learn to live by. The anointing upon empowers you to do, but the anointing within transforms you to become. Do not pursue outward power while neglecting inward formation. If you only desire to do mighty works but refuse to become like Christ, you will be unbalanced. The greater work is for Christ to be raised in you until His life, nature, authority, and glory flow through you naturally. You were made for God. Your mind, body, emotions, gifts, strength, and time belong to Him. Do not allow the distractions of the world, social media, fear, comfort, or laziness to drive God out of your consciousness. Present your body as a living sacrifice. Refuse to be conformed to this world. Be transformed by the renewing of your mind so you can prove the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God. Let your life become a vessel through which God heals, saves, restores, governs, intercedes, and displays His glory. The Lord is able to keep you. Even if your strength feels small, keep His word and do not deny His name. The power of God is in you, upon you, and available to preserve you. You are called to live by that power, to be kept by that power, and to become a vessel through whom that power touches the earth. Therefore, ask the Holy Spirit to build you up. Ask Him to teach your hands to war and your fingers to fight. Ask Him to make you wiser than your enemies. Acknowledge the help God has sent to you. Speak life. Resist death. Reject fear. Stand in faith. Grow in Christ. Run your race. Finish well. Zoom every weekday : http://www.caveadullam.org/zoom

People reject good advice. They push away people who care about them. They resist change. Sometimes they even resist God. Why? In Luke 8, Jesus tells a story that helps explain why some hearts stay closed while others are transformed. In this message, Ben Young explores one of Jesus' most well-known parables—the Parable of the Sower. Jesus compares God's truth to seed and our hearts to different kinds of soil. Some hearts are open. Some become hardened over time. And some are ready to grow. Whether you're wondering why someone you love seems far from God, struggling with your own spiritual growth, or simply trying to understand why change can be so difficult, this message offers hope. Because no heart is beyond God's reach.

As part of our Above All Else series on the Seven Deadly Sins, Joseph Yasso teaches on greed — or avarice — not merely as a love of money, but as a disordered heart posture that replaces trust in God with trust in wealth. Through personal storytelling, Jesus's Parable of the Rich Fool, and the writings of Paul, this message traces where greed comes from, what it's really serving, and how simplicity, generosity, and gratitude can loosen its grip."Greed is the disordered hope that money can give us the security, significance and satisfaction only God can give. And it leads to a lack of faith, generosity, and gratitude, while also adding anxiety to our lives."What Greed Is NOT:- Greed is not wealth — it's not the same as having money- Greed is not enjoying good gifts — God made a world full of beauty meant to lead us back to him- Greed is not materialism only — it includes craving experiences, status, or comfort at any cost- Greed is not saving — stewarding money wisely is commended in ScriptureWhat Greed IS:- A condition of the heart, not the bank account- Functional worship of money as a surface idol serving deeper idols: Approval, Power, Comfort, or Control/SecurityThree Roots of Greed:- Injury from our past — money stories pressed into us by how we grew up- Idolatry in the present — money as a functional savior- Anxiety over our future — stockpiling against uncertainty rather than trusting God's provisionThree Antidotes:- Simplicity — hold things loosely; give, lend, and acquire less freely- Generosity — surrender ownership; let generosity reorder the heart- Gratitude — receive life as gift rather than grasping for more"We can recognize our excessive attachments in both our dreams and our broken dreams.""The line gets crossed when money stops being a tool in your hand and becomes the place your heart runs to feel safe." — Joseph Yasso"Money is a useful servant, but a terrible God." — Joseph Yasso"Many have called this the experience economy. We've gone from buying things to doing things. A sign of status used to be the logo on your jacket or handbag. Learn to enjoy things without owning them. Marc Morano talks about his decades covering climate politics and his view that the climate movement is in rapid collapse due to overreach, public skepticism, and post-COVID distrust of “appeal to authority.” Morano contrasts Trump 1.0's limited actions with Trump 2.0's aggressive agenda: hundreds of pro-energy moves, exits from numerous UN bodies, a push to end the EPA CO2 endangerment finding, and a consensus-busting climate report later vacated over procedural issues. He says Democrats, media, Wall Street, and major figures like Bezos and Gates have gone quiet or shifted, while UN COP summits have become smaller and scandal-prone. DESCRIPTION A stunning new Fox News poll reveals Americans are rapidly losing faith in higher education, with nearly three-quarters of voters now saying a college degree is not worth it “at any cost.” Tara and Lee break down the collapse of confidence in universities, skyrocketing tuition costs, the student debt nightmare, and growing backlash against DEI-driven campus policies. The conversation zeroes in on Clemson University's leadership concerns, South Carolina scholarship programs, SAT pressure, and the harsh economic reality facing families trying to send kids to college. Is higher education adapting to the workforce — or driving students away? SUMMARY Today's show dives into shocking polling data showing Americans increasingly believe college is overpriced and disconnected from real-world job opportunities. Joey Hudson fills in for Mike as South Carolina Republicans spark a political firestorm by rejecting a Trump-backed congressional map, throwing the state’s redistricting battle into chaos just as early voting shatters records across the Palmetto State. Joey breaks down what the Senate’s refusal could mean for the future of Republican leadership, why tensions inside the GOP are boiling over, and how the fight could reshape upcoming elections. Plus, the South Carolina Attorney General race takes a dramatic turn after a former Democrat jumps into the Republican primary, drawing fierce criticism from conservatives and a blistering response from President Trump, who labels the candidate a “total fraud.” See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

What if the reason you hold yourself back… isn't your personality at all? In this episode of the Dream Interpretation Podcast, Michael and Sandy break down a powerful series of dreams that all point to one hidden issue: rejecting masculine energy because of unresolved wounds connected to Dad. Through dreams about attractive men, collapsing apartment buildings, giant fish, forgotten names, aquariums, washing dishes with Dad, and family homes, the deeper pattern becomes clear: Feeling unsafe around masculine energy Holding yourself back from leadership Avoiding influence and boundaries Rejecting confidence, independence, and direction Mistaking self-protection for healing But the episode doesn't stop there. The dreams also reveal something incredibly hopeful: how healing actually begins. You'll see dreams where the feminine is finally "working for" the dreamer. Dreams where connection replaces rejection. And dreams that show how embracing masculine energy can unlock leadership, spiritual gifts, purpose, confidence, and direction. This episode is a masterclass in understanding how dreams expose the original wound — and how they reveal the moment transformation begins. Oregon voters resoundingly rejected a statewide ballot measure that would have raised the state gas tax from 40 to 46 cents and doubled car title and registration fees to help fund road maintenance and other transportation projects. Measure 120 was widely expected to fail, especially as gas prices continue to soar in Oregon and across the nation. Last year, Gov. Tina Kotek and Democrats in the Legislature approved a bill that included the gas tax and fee hikes, but Republican lawmakers succeeded in raising enough signatures to put the issue before voters. Democrats, however, countered by ensuring the measure appeared on the May ballot instead of in November, when Gov. Kotek is up for reelection. Gov. Kotek will now face Republican state Sen. Christine Drazan in a rematch of the 2022 gubernatorial race. On Tuesday, Republican voters selected Drazan to be their gubernatorial nominee over former Portland Trail Blazer Chris Dudley, state Rep. Ed Diehl and other candidates. OPB political reporter Lauren Dake joins us for more details about Drazan’s victory and the failed gas tax measure.
Few issues show more clearly show the error of the supposed infallble authority of the Roman Catholic Church (or the Eastern Orthodox Church!) than that of icon veneration. That may sound strange, but both Catholic and Eastern Orthodox theologies claim that the findings of the Second Council of Nicea (787 AD) were infallible. And at this council, the veneration of icons is not just affirmed, but all who reject it are put under a supposedly infallible 'anathema'! This is no small matter. You can watch this message here.

At Truist's annual meeting, the company faced a shareholder proposal from the Heritage Foundation via its Free Enterprise Initiative over brand politicization. Stefan Padfield presented for Heritage, urging the company to choose political neutrality in key areas, including charitable policies. "While our nation has come to realize that nice-sounding phrases like “diversity, equity, and inclusion” apparently routinely mean discrimination in practice, Truist has unfortunately been associated with such initiatives. Truist scores 100 on the HRC’s CEI. And while the green energy transition has arguably been exposed as a utopian endeavor that leaves Americans poorer and vulnerable to foreign adversaries, Truist apparently maintains commitments furthering that agenda." Mike breaks down the growing divide between establishment Republicans and the America First movement after Bill Cassidy’s collapse in Louisiana and the heated Kentucky showdown over Thomas Massie. He digs into why Trump-backed voters are rejecting Republicans seen as opposing the MAGA agenda, why the media keeps insisting the movement is “splintering,” and what Lindsey Graham’s blunt warning says about the future of the GOP.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
I. The Care of the Father (15:11-13) 1. He is present. 2. He is protector. 3. He is provider. II. The Compassion of the Father (15:14-20) III. The Celebration of the Father (15:21-24) IV. The Call of the Father (15:25-32) How should we live knowing that the Father still runs? Repent quickly — Don't wait to “clean up.” The Father runs to meet you. Receive grace fully — Stop trying to earn what the Father freely gives. Release others freely — The Father's forgiveness becomes our model. Rejoice in God's mercy — Celebrate what the Father celebrates. Reject the older‑brother spirit — Don't let pride keep you outside the feast.
Familiarity with Jesus is not the same thing as following Jesus. Human beings love what is familiar. But familiarity can lead to complacency and apathy. The people of Jesus' hometown missed the miraculous power of God because they couldn't see past the ordinary carpenter they grew up with. In this sermon, we examine three ways to reject Jesus and what it means to actually receive his gracious authority.
So Trump went to China and achieved...nothing! May 15th is Nakba day and the third year in a row that we commemorate this day during a genocide that Palestinians say is worse than the 1948 catastrophe. Meanwhile, here at home, ICE finds itself in a legal morass as its kidnappings are deemed illegal. But that isn't stopping them from trying to get in on the good ole fashioned 'Murican tradition of slavery. Also...It's our 300th episode! The world has arguably gotten worse since we first started doing this show. But as we like to say, the world may be fucked but all the people we love are doing beautiful things.
