Hebrews 11:1-40 KJV - Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2 For by it the elders obtained a good report. 3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. 4 By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh. 5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God. 6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. 7 By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith. 8 By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went. 9 By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise: 10 For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God. 11 Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised. 12 Therefore sprang there even of one, and him as good as dead, so many as the stars of the sky in multitude, and as the sand which is by the sea shore innumerable. 13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. 14 For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country. 15 And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned. 16 But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city. 17 By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son, 18 Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called: 19 Accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure. 20 By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau concerning things to come. 21 By faith Jacob, when he was a dying, blessed both the sons of Joseph; and worshipped, leaning upon the top of his staff. 22 By faith Joseph, when he died, made mention of the departing of the children of Israel; and gave commandment concerning his bones. 23 By faith Moses, when he was born, was hid three months of his parents, because they saw he was a proper child; and they were not afraid of the king's commandment. 24 By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter; 25 Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; 26 Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward. 27 By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible. 28 Through faith he kept the passover, and the sprinkling of blood, lest he that destroyed the firstborn should touch them. 29 By faith they passed through the Red sea as by dry land: which the Egyptians assaying to do were drowned. 30 By faith the walls of Jericho fell down, after they were compassed about seven days. 31 By faith the harlot Rahab perished not with them that believed not, when she had received the spies with peace. 32 And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets: 33 Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, 34 Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens. 35 Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection: made perfect.

With the backdrop of the LA fires near us and the emergency warnings in San Diego, we remember they are a Gospel trumpet warning of Jesus Christ from Revelation 8:7 and that Jesus says in Mark 9 that, unlike the LA fires, the burning sensation of hell will never cease upon the people damned to go there to be punished by God forever. Flee the Fire that Shall Never be Quenched!

MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN BY BRINGING BACK THE CHRISTIAN DOCTRINE OF EARLY AMERICA: GEORGE WHITEFIELD

THIS MESSAGE BY JONATHON EDWARDS IS PROBABLY THE MOST FAMOUS SERMON HE EVER PREACHED. HE PREACHED IT FIRST IN HIS OWN CHURCH IN NORTHAMPTON MASSACHUSETTS, BUT THIS SERMON FOUND ITS FAME WHEN JONATHON EDWARDS PREACHED IT IN ENFIELD, CONNECTICUT ON JULY 8, 1741 AMIDST THE FURTHERANCE OF THE GREAT RELIGIOUS AWAKENING. THERE WAS SUCH AN OUTPOURING OF THE SPIRIT IN THAT CHURCH THAT HE WAS NOT ABLE TO FINISH THE SERMON. THIS MESSAGE IS A FIRE AND BRIMSTONE SERMON, WHICH IN AMERICA TODAY WOULD BE SHOCKING,BECAUSE THE KNOWLEDGE OF ORIGINAL SIN HAS BEEN DOWNPLAYED BY OUR FASTFOOD FREEWILL THEOLOGIANS, AND THUS, MOST OF US AMERICANS DO NOT KNOW THAT THE FOUNTAIN FROM WHICH ALL EVIL IN THIS WORLD FLOWS IS RIGHT OUT OF OUR OWN HEART, AND THUS WE AS AMERICANS DO NOT SEE THAT IT IS OUR SIN NATURE THAT IS CONDEMNING US TO HELL. MARTIN LUTHER'S STATEMENT: ‘THE DAMNED ARE SUFFERING SO SEVERELY, BECAUSE THEY WERE UNWILLING TO BE DAMNED' SEEMS UNREASONABLE TO MOST OF JOHN Q. PUBLIC OF AMERICA TODAY, UNLESS WE PAUSE FOR A MOMENT AND ASK OURSELVES A QUESTION: WOULD ANY OF US AMERICANS EVER HAVE BELIEVED THAT GOD WOULD UNLEASH SUCH HORROR UPON THIS EARTH, BY ADAM SIMPLY BREAKING ONE COMMANDMENT. RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX, RIGHT OUT OF THE FIRST FAMILY, ADAM AND EVE'S OLDER SON, CAIN, MURDERED THEIR YOUNGER SON, ABEL, AND ALL OF US AMERICANS ARE DYING BECAUSE WE HAVE BEOKEN GOD'S COMMANDMENTS. IT IS UNBELIEVABLE IS IT NOT THAT GOD COULD UNLEASH SUCH HORRORS OF WARS AND RUMORS OF WARS, RAPE, MURDER, THEFT, ADULTERY, HOMOSEXUALITY, etc., FOR 6000 YEARS, ON US AMERICANS, FOR ADAM AND EVE BREAKING JUST ONE COMMANDMENT: AND IF GOD IS TO BRING SUCH PUNISHMENT TO US AMERICANS EVERYDAY AS IS WITNESSED BY OUR LOCAL NEWSCASTS, MAYBE JUST MAYBE GOD IS GOING TO CARRY OUT THE TORMENTS OF HELL HE SAYS HE WILL IN THE SCRIPTURES, AND THUS WE AS AMERICANS OUGHT TO THINK TWICE, MAYBE THRICE, THAT THE PUNISHMENT OF HELL IS NOT AN EMPTY THREAT, BUT A REALITY: MAYBE WE OUGHT TO INQUIRE OF GOD-TRUTH?JESUS HIMSELF SPEAKS THE GNASHING OF TEETH: DR. LUKE 13: 23] Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them,[24] Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.[25] When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:[26] THEN shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.[27] But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity(SELF RIGHTEOUSNESS).[28] There shall be WEEPING and GNASHING of TEETH, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and YOU YOURSELVES THRUST OUT.[29] And they shall come from the east, and from the west, and from the north, and from the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God.[30] And, behold, there are last which shall be first, and there are first which shall be last.Isaiah 66: 24] And they shall go forth, and LOOK upon the CARCASSES of the MEN that have TRANSGRESSED AGAINST ME: for THEIR WORM shall NOT DIE, neither shall THEIR FIRE be QUENCHED; and THEY shall be an ABHORRING unto all flesh. [15] For, behold, the LORD will COME with FIRE, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to RENDER his ANGER with FURY, and HIS REBUKE with FLAMES of FIRE. [16] For by FIRE and by HIS SWORD will the LORD plead with all flesh: and the SLAIN of the LORD shall BE MANY.[17] They that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens behind one tree in the midst, eating swine's flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, shall be consumed together, saith the LORD.[18] For I know their works and their thoughts: it shall come, that I will gather all nations and tongues; and they shall come, and see my glory.

Transcript:Sr: U malom selu, na padinama zelene planine, smeštena je stara kafana okopnelog imena "Tri šešira".En: In a small village, nestled in the foothills of a green mountain, stands an old tavern with the faded name "Three Hats".Sr: Jovan nije često navraćao, ali taj dan, po neumoljivoj žeđi, usmerio ga je vetar baš tamo.En: Jovan didn't visit often, but on that day, an unrelenting thirst guided him there.Sr: Dan je bio nesnosno vreo, a Jovanu se prilepila prašina za košulju dok je prelazio preko kosog kamena praga kafane.En: The day was unbearably hot, and as Jovan crossed the slanted stone threshold of the tavern, dust clung to his shirt.Sr: Ušavši unutra, osetio je blagi hlad koji je dolazio od debelih zidova napravljenih još pre mnogo godina.En: Upon entering, he felt a gentle coolness emanating from the thick walls built many years ago.Sr: Meštani su sedeli za drvenim stolovima, bacajući ispod oka poglede ka njemu, sveci uhiranog sela.En: Locals sat at wooden tables, casting glances at him, the stranger in their quiet village.Sr: "Vode, molim", izmumlao je Jovan bližoj konobarici, obići od zemljanog žamora žednog dana.En: "Water, please," Jovan muttered to the waitress, weary from the parched whispers of the thirsty earth.Sr: Konobarica, zamišljena u svoje misli, jedva je pogledala i klimnula glavom.En: Lost in her thoughts, the waitress barely glanced at him and nodded.Sr: Okrenula se i donela mu čašu, misleći da je izrekao želju za onim najpoznatijim napitkom ovog kraja.En: She turned and brought him a glass, assuming he had asked for the most famous beverage of the region.Sr: Jovan je trljao oči od umora i nije primetio čistu providnost tečnosti u čaši.En: Rubbing his tired eyes, Jovan failed to notice the clear transparency of the liquid in the glass.Sr: Pomislio je – voda, konačno.En: He thought to himself – water, finally.Sr: Prineo je čašu usnama, te progutao jedan veliki gutljaj.En: He raised the glass to his lips and took a large gulp.Sr: Kako je rakija pržila njegovo grlo, oči su mu se širom otvorile, iscrtavajući mapu iznenađenja na njegovom inače mirnom licu.En: As the brandy scorched his throat, his eyes widened, unraveling a map of surprise on his otherwise serene face.Sr: "Joj!En: "Oh!"Sr: " uzviknuo je, dok su ga oči pekle, a stomak plamen tutnjao.En: he exclaimed, his eyes stinging, and a roaring fire igniting in his belly.Sr: Okupljeni redovni gosti, naviknuti na takve scene, ispunili su kafanu gromoglasnim smehom.En: The regulars, accustomed to such scenes, filled the tavern with booming laughter.Sr: Jovan je stajao, crven kao paprika, dok mu se sudbina prelivala po mislima poput tople, vrele rakije koja mu je klizila kroz telo.En: Jovan stood there, red as a pepper, as thoughts flooded his mind like the warm, fiery brandy coursing through his body.Sr: Konobarica je odmah shvatila šta se desilo i brže-bolje je donela čašu hladne vode.En: The waitress quickly realized what had happened and promptly brought a glass of cold water.Sr: "Izvinite, gospodine, kriva sam," rekla je kroz zadršku.En: "I'm sorry, sir," she said hesitantly.Sr: Jovan je, i dalje zadihan, prihvatio čašu vode dok su mu ruke blago podrhtavale.En: Still catching his breath, Jovan accepted the glass of water, his hands trembling slightly.Sr: "U redu je," promuca on sa osmehom, odlučan da ne dozvoli ovom malom incidentu da pokvari ostatak njegovog dana.En: "It's okay," he mumbled with a smile, determined not to let this minor incident ruin the rest of his day.Sr: Zajednica se polako smirila, a Jovan se pridružio jednom stolu pored prozora, gde su stariji ljudi znalački diskutovali o životu i polako ispijali svoje rakije.En: The community gradually calmed down, and Jovan joined a table by the window, where elderly people expertly discussed life and leisurely sipped their brandies.Sr: Saslušali su njegovu priču, nudili savete i na kraju, prihvatili ga kao svog.En: They listened to his story, offered advice, and, eventually, embraced him as one of their own.Sr: Dok se sunce polako spuštalo na obzorje, Jovan je već delio smeh i priče s novim prijateljima.En: As the sun slowly descended on the horizon, Jovan was already sharing laughter and stories with new friends.Sr: Iako je taj dan potražio vodu, našao je mnogo više – spoj zajedništva i toplog prijema, smeha koji odzvanja kroz zidove, i osećaj pripadnosti u srcima onih oko njega.En: Although he had sought water that day, he found much more – a sense of community and warm welcome, laughter echoing through the walls, and a feeling of belonging in the hearts of those around him.Sr: U "Tri šešira", Jovan je naučio da neke greške mogu biti neočekivani blagoslovi, i da će nekada, sipanjem rakije umesto vode, početi neka od najvažnijih poglavlja u knjizi života.En: At "Three Hats," Jovan learned that some mistakes can be unexpected blessings, and that sometimes, by pouring brandy instead of water, some of life's most important chapters begin. Why mommy doesn't sell shit. Getting bashed for trying to save the country. Here's an idea, let's create a fund for Trump. Act Blue takes money from outside the US. The fraud process has been tried and tested. Tyrants don't talk to the people. You are not crafted by your friends. Back when Obama was ripe for the picking. When people don't need you, but still treat you right. Joe Flynn was working with the wrong attorneys. Two cases at SCOTUS that haven't been mentioned. Get rid of the machines in Ohio, then other states can replicate. The perfect VP pick for the USA if it remains the same. Crippling the government with corruption. They never thought she would lose. The NAU was the plan, and Covid was going to be worse. The UN would have saved us. Quenched means there's no need for freedom. Monetizing medical protocols is not OK. People are so confused that it limits available options. Everyone wanted a piece of the pie. VAXXXT blood banks kill. We the people must have the most difficult discussions, because America can't continue like it is now.

1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 32 And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets: 33 Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions. 34 Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens. 35 Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection: 36 And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment: 37 They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented; 38 (Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth. 39 And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise: 40 God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.

This month's bonus series is on a topic that can tend to be very uncomfortable to talk about. But this is a good uncomfortable. Pornography is a subject that affects all of us in one way or another and it's important to have these conversations.Studies show that 33% of pornography consumers are female. This is no longer an issue that can only be talked about to men. With very little resources available to women, shame and guilt keep too many women hiding and in chains. On today's episode Jessica Harris, author of Quenched, shares her story of addiction and freedom. Jessica shares valuable ways we can help people without shaming them! I hope in this series you gain a wealth of resources to help you, however this topic affects you. Whether you're someone who has struggled with pornography and addiction, or have a spouse or partner who is dealing with the betrayal of such addiction, we encourage you to check out the links from the show to find support, healing, and ultimately freedom. SHOW LINKS:Beggars DaughterQuenchedThe Healing ChurchCreate AnywayPart 1 of Let's Talk About Porn with Sam BlackPart 3 of Let's Talk About Porn with Chris McKenna Celebrate Recovery Covenant EyesCanopyBark - Use Code JAMIE10Jamie's NewsletterWednesday's Episode with Josh and Katie Walters

All Scripture is inspired by God and beneficial for teaching, for rebuke, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man or woman of God may be fully capable, equipped for every good work. – 1 Timothy 3:16-17 God speaks to us through the Bible. That Book embodies His words. Creation itself is the visible embodiment of His power and wisdom. It is the result of His words. This Book of His is, in a different way, the effect of His speaking. It is His written wisdom and power. There is His voice to us. The thunder and tempest are His loud voice of grandeur. The sunshine and the gentle breeze are His still small voice. But deeper, clearer, keener, softer, and still more penetrating than all of these is His written Word to us. The Bible is what it is because it contains the words of God. It is through the Word, and in connection with it, that God communicates with us. The Word revives: Your word has revived me (Psalm 119:50). The word produces faith: Faith comes from hearing (Romans 10:17). The Word strengthens, comforts, heals, nourishes, and revives. It gets into contact with each part of our souls and works its own work there. And it does this because it is divine. No human words could be trusted to work the work in a human soul so unrestrictedly. It is not eloquence, poetry, nor argument, but something more than all these together. It is something peculiar and indescribable, which man could not have formed and which he cannot understand, that makes it so suitable for the soul of a foolish and sinful man.

Devotion on Relationship with God, Christian Living, Renewal, Psalm 42:1-2, Psalm 63:1. 1 page. As a deer pants for flowing streams, so pants my soul for you, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God (Psalm 42:1-2).  O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water (Psalm 63:1).   These words shine a spotlight directly on the need we all have to have our thirst quenched by God. The general activities of our life can make us dry. The stress and anxiety we face can make us dry. Add every weight and sin which clings so closely (Hebrews 12:1) to the mix and our soul can seem pretty parched. Would you like to know a little-known fact? Well, one of the most accessed blog posts on my website is a post titled When a Woman is Addicted to Pornography. It was first published in 2017 and it is still one of the most popular posts. Our world primarily talks about lust and pornography as a “man's problem” but a 2016 Barna study actually found that 20% of Christian women use porn on a regular basis. These women suffer silently and often feel alone with nowhere to turn.My guest, Jessica Harris, totally understands that experience. She's made the journey from being addicted to pornography to being set free. Jessica is recognized as a leading voice talking about female porn use and addiction in the church. Her latest book, Quenched, helps women understand God's abundant grace when struggling with pornography and sexual shame. In this conversation, you'll hear:Jessica's own story of finding freedom from pornThe three signposts of shameHow shame keeps us from running to GodAnd much more! This is such an important topic and I hope this episode opens the door to find hope and spark conversations!Show Notes: https://jillsavage.org/jessica-harris-147

Jesus and His Final Words: Lived Out - Quenched (John 19:28-29, John 4:1-15, John 7:37-39, Revelation 22:1-3) There is nothing like thirst to put on display the vulnerability of our human condition. Thirst is a metaphor that permeates the story of faith. From the people of Israel in the wilderness of Sinai to Samson the great judge, we all thirst. It is a picture of our longing for God. Jesus, however, is the source of a water that quenches every thirst. When you read of his life - and the promise he offers to others - one should marvel at the fact that he was thirsty. Jesus chose to be thirsty. He chose to take on frail humanity. He who is eternal took on the frailty of human existence. To the woman at the well, he offered an eternal spring. She was thirsty and longed for this water. At the great water festival of Jerusalem, Jesus stood up when the waters would have flowed down the streets of the holy city, and he declared that he himself is the source of living water. Water is a picture of the presence of the Holy Spirit. Through baptism, water is the picture of new life, life refreshed. Through the waters of baptism, he quenches our thirst. Like the Ethiopian eunuch, when we come to faith - we cry out, "Here is water!" Water is also our destiny. In John's final vision of eternity, he sees the river of life - flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb. Has your thirst been quenched?

In the Market with Janet Parshall

Lust is a man's problem, right? Wrong. When we see lust as an exclusively male issue, it leaves Christian women with nowhere to turn when they struggle with the same things. They suffer silently and feel like they will never be free. Our guest has been there, and she has made it her mission to break the silence, banish the shame, and bring women's struggles into the light of God's grace and forgiveness. She understands that when you suffer in silence, you are building a wall of shame between yourself and God that God does not desire for you. Join us as she shows women a road map for restoration that answers the question "Is there grace left for me?" with a resounding and emphatic "Yes!" For any woman who desires to escape the pull of lust, pornography, and sexual shame, this book is a refreshing drink of water that will quench the fire within and point the way toward freedom.
