I lost one of my best friends, my other mother, my work mentor Wilma Ogilvie on March 14, 2025. This is my tribute to her, a true legend of Christopher, Il.
There used to be a Twitter account that a guy called “Sh*t My Dad Says”, which was made into a TV Series starring William Shatner. My dad was like that. He had his own little way of saying things. Everybody called my dad “Mighty” (a.k.a. Leonard Riggs, Sr) because of his athletic abilities when he was younger and i still have to laugh at his “Mightyisms”.
Reminiscing about my life in the 1980's. I was 13 at the beginning of the decade and ended it as a 23 year-old. The 80's were all about music and movies for me. My life wasn't very interesting, but the entertainment was amazing!
Thought I'd talk about how I'm doing after the holidays and how I'm coping still with loss. It's a continuing journey and I hope I can help someone by sharing my thoughts.

I loved toys. The Sears “Wish Book” catalog was my bible for what I wanted for Christmas. I had and wanted a LOT of cool toys in my childhood.(my mother nicknamed me “Leonard “I Want” Riggs”) I tried to remember a lot of them that I had or wanted.
Summer boredom gets the best of me. Definitely NOT my favorite season, but often I am inspired when I am bored.
