A recent and welcome addition to FVF, Attemporal have released the Retrolight EP and remixed Reagen's Searchlight EP on 12 inch. They also remix on Stefano Lotti & AKR's upcoming release with us, the Time Distortion EP which is bomb. Attemporal bring the dark vibes here. Enjoy X
For our latest podcast we introduce Mint400 from B.L.A.T.T. Records who will soon release for us. We think hes a real talent.......Wait til you hear his tracks : ) ENJOY!
One person we have followed meticulously in 2011 is Eduardo De La Calle. Our earliest memories of him is when he caught our attention on an old spanish Techno LP in the mid 2000s. More recently he has had several excellent releases on the ever impressive Berlin based Restoration Records. This year he went about setting up his own imprint called Analog Solutions which is a vinyl only label. His productions are realised through the use of analogue equipment only. A purist and a veteran Techno DJ we are very proud to have him record a podcast for us. We expect lots of fantastic releases in 2012. Be sure to keep an eye out. ENJOY!
For our next podcast we present the very talented LAAK. Based out of the states his productions can be found on one of our favourite Deep, dubby labels called Austere, which incidently he owns too. With three pure quality releases so far we suggest you keep an eye out for new material in the future. In this podcast LAAK showcases very tasteful laidback deep grooves. Make sure to check out his soundcloud page for more of the same. ENJOY!
We don't know too much about ill76 except that he has been around quite a while and used to own Illmatic Records - An underground record store in Dallas. We think he has phenomenal taste in music and have been following his soundcloud page closely for some time. He is a big supporter of vinyl and his sound ranges from Dub Techno to deeper and darker shades of tech house. He has dabbled in production with MAETRIK on early releases for Morris Audio, Immigrant, Chalant, Treibstoff and Intrinsic Design. Here he serves up an excellent slice of what to expect from one of his sets. A pure Quality selector. Also check out his own soundcloud page for more of the same. ENJOY!
Long time Dj and friend of FVF Russell Simmons puts together our next podcast. Russell has been djing at our parties for a many years and we really dig his sound. Enjoy!
For our next Podcast we feature the talents of Rebekah. With a fantastic recent release with us and dj skills to match Rebekah is definitely one to watch out for in 2011. In this podcast Rebekah showcases her driving sound and gives us a peak into what you can expect from her behind a set of decks. Greatstuff! Enjoy!
Label co-owner & DIP Resident Al Blayney puts together the latest FVF Podcast. He has gone for a straight up Techno Mix this time. Al plays everything from Dub Techno to Deep House. JJ Rolfe aka Planoco serves up some tough beats for his 2nd podcast on FVF. A long time member and part owner of FVF, JJ is also resident at Dip London and is one of the driving forces behind the label. Enjoy!
For FVF's 20th podcast we welcome Dublin duo Philip Long & Dave Hargadon aka Slowburn. With a fantastic recent release out on the legendary Uzuri Imprint we expect big things from these guys in the future. Below is the tracklist which reflects what Slowburn are digging at present. I'm sure you will agree that it sounds like a very tasty selection indeed! Enjoy
Hugo Johnson has been one of the main residents for FVF since 2006. Having played out across much of the Dublin party scene for years he has now relocated to London where he is one of the residents at DIP (our monthly party in conjunction with Save You records) amongst other parties. Here Hugo serves up some beautiful house sounds to get you in the mood for the sunny weekend ahead.
Recorded live at Tronix Club, Bielefeld, Germany. Miss Sunshine serves up some no-nonsense, peak time techno for your enjoyment. Many up and coming releases here including both her own original version and Miro Pajic's remix of La Locura. La Locura is due out very soon on FVF and also includes a Tim Xavier remix of Look Sharp. Sunshine has been working closely with FVF of late; remixing for Rebekah on the Voices EP and joining the label for their residency, DIP, in London last month. Plenty more to come from this talented artist and DJ.
After a kicking remix for Rebekah on her Voices EP and an upcoming release on FVF, Noreuil steps up with a dark and tripped out mix for our podcast series. Noreuil has hit the scene running over the last year with work on labels Kassette, Lazerslut, Front and Malatoid. Noreuil has also started up his own label, Zool Muzic, with upcoming releases from Martin Eyerer, Reset Robot, Miro Pajic, Sawf, Rich Jones, Heron, Rebekah, Miss Sunshine, Click | Click and, of course, himself :). DeadEcho is the combined force of Rob Bradley and Adam Firman. Their mopst recent release, She's All over Me included MarcAshken on vocal duties and a huge remix package featuring Jay Tripwire, Ashken, Pedramovich, Clio and 102nd Century. It's a sleazy fingers up to the mundane with tongue in cheek vocals about a wasted girl bothering a DJ in a club. Ewan Pearson has been nailing it and listed it in his most recent ‘’bombs in the bag’’ and Circo Loco’s Clive Henry stated it was ‘’the best promo I have been sent in time…maximum support!’’ If you add this with support from Italoboyz, Jamie Jones and Slam, it is safe to say this release made a splash. Added to all this the boys are resident and co-promoters at the FVF Records / Save You Records monthly party, DIP, at the Russian in London. The party has been on the up since it's launch and has featured a host of down and dirty guests with future guests including Rebekah, Miss Sunshine, Jay Tripwire and more. With several E.Ps and a string of remixes soon to release, gigs booked in Brighton, London, Ireland and Germany for 2011, you will hear a lot more from DeadEcho in 2011. TIP: Watch out for their upcoming remix of Leigh Myles on FVF ;)
