Our premiere for today is a wonderful track by Madrid-based Eduardo De La Calle who channels his inner 90's electronica kid with 'Cisco'. 'Cisco' is part of a well-curated 21-track charity compilation by our friends at Futurepast. You can learn more about the whole initiative here: Futurepast & friends present ‘Standing with Ukraine' Although it has slipped from prominence in the current news cycles, Russia's aggression against Ukraine still continues to escalate. As Ukraine is still in urgent need of support, we have come together using the only thing we know how, music. We asked 21 artists from Futurepast's friends to create a track that keeps Ukraine's situation in mind and results in a compilation that is rather varied. We hear ambient and downtempo right through to more abstract interpretations of techno that veer away from straight up bangers. All proceeds will be donated to the Ukrainian charity, Voices of Children, which is supporting children who have lost their parents in this war; the poorest and most helpless victims. You can read more about their amazing work here. (https://voices.org.ua/ )

From the dangerous part of the city of Montevideo, Uruguay in the late ’90s, William started his journey in music at the early age of 11 helping programming music and DJing for a pirate radio station. Since that moment, he never stopped to define his own style and taste of music while improving his technical skills. In 2009 he started to release his own productions under different monikers, releasing several works in digital and physical format. In 2017 things changed when the decision was made to focus exclusively on his new project called William Arist and also the launch of his own record label Perseverancia Records. Since then, he has played with artists such as Anastasia Kristensen, CTRLS, Adriana Lopez, Aleja Sanchez, Dax J, DVS1, Eduardo De La Calle, Ellen Allien, Kolpos, Mekas, Pfirter, P.E.A.R.L., Setaoc Mass, Vinicius Honorio and many more. His eclectic productions have seen his music land on a variety of labels such as Animal Farm (UK), DEAD CERT. Records (UK), Tauten (SRB), Abstraction (CUB), Liberta (UK), Knowledge Imprint (ZA) amongst others. His music has been supported by artists like Richie Hawtin, Charlotte de Witte, Joris Voorn, Truncate, Ben Sims, Cari Lekebusch, Tensal, Dave Clarke, Drumcomplex etc etc… -- 007: William Arist from Montevideo, Uruguay William Arist @ SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/williamarist William Arist @ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/williamaristofficial
Absence Seizure marks its tenth release this September, a split package comprising one original from co-founder Abe Duque and two from label-founder Matuss. Since its launch back in 2015 the New York City based Absence Seizure imprint, launched by Abe Duque and Matuss has been a platform for the latter’s original material and across the past nine releases and picked up support from the likes of Young Male, Sage Caswell, Dorian Paic and Eduardo De La Calle amongst others. Here though we see co-founder Abe Duque join the part to mark the labels tenth vinyl release alongside label regular Julia Matuss. Leading on the package is Abe Duque’s ’11-27-2016’, a typically raw affair from the New York Techno veteran fuelled by squelching 303 lines, robust analogue drums and dreamy arpeggios. Matuss steps up next with ‘Crashing Hard’ a murky, stripped-back number fuelled by choppy bass stabs, minimal percussive bleeps and airy atmospherics before ‘Sisabuc Fresh’ closes out the package, stripping things back even further to minute, shuffled percussion, stuttering ethereal chords and permeating sub hits which all flow in unison across its ten minute duration. Abe Duque / Matuss’ ‘Absence Seizure 10’ is out 10th September 2018. Tracklist: 1. AbeDuque–11-27-2016 2. Matuss–CrashingHard 3. Matuss–SisabucFresh

Welcome to the Decisive Podcast Guest Mix Series Leah Floyeurs Please be sure to listen to the whole interview. The Podcast will be out now with the interview and one week later without the interview on Soundcloud. So we give you enough time to learn more about the person behind the music. As we know, the scene has been dominated from male artists as long as we can remember. But there are quite a lot of really great female artists that we would like to present to you in the future. This time Leah Floyeurs will be the fourth female artist on the show. I chatted with Leah Floyeurs over the weekend about what makes her tick. The London based musician which was raised and born in Australia was actually trying to start a career as a journalist In 1993 she moved from Australia to the UK and worked in a recordstore and as a pianist. One person we have followed meticulously in 2011 is Eduardo De La Calle. Our earliest memories of him is when he caught our attention on an old spanish Techno LP in the mid 2000s. More recently he has had several excellent releases on the ever impressive Berlin based Restoration Records. This year he went about setting up his own imprint called Analog Solutions which is a vinyl only label. His productions are realised through the use of analogue equipment only. A purist and a veteran Techno DJ we are very proud to have him record a podcast for us. We expect lots of fantastic releases in 2012. Be sure to keep an eye out. ENJOY!
