In this episode of “This Is Purdue,” we're talking to PGA Tour golfer Adam Schenk. Adam is a Mitchell E. Daniels, Jr. School of Business alum and former first-team All-Big Ten Purdue men's golfer, who has spent nearly a decade dedicated to his full-time career on the golf course. During this time, he secured his PGA Tour card and rapidly ascended the leaderboard, often competing alongside some of the world's top-ranked golfers. The 2023 season took him to new heights pursuing his first PGA Tour win and, in 2024, he continues that chase while preparing to play his first Masters. Listen as he takes us back to his time playing for the Purdue men's golf team, recounting his first collegiate tournament and what it felt like winning for a team, not just himself. Frequently returning to the Purdue golf courses, he loves mentoring and playing with current Boilermaker golfers, while practicing his own swing and preparing for major tournaments like the U.S. Open. With his golden retriever, Bunker, at his side during practice, Adam discusses how he prepares to play with pro golf legends like Rory McIlroy on some of the most famous courses across the country. Adam says he loves seeing plenty of spectators in Purdue clothing and often hears a distant “Boiler Up!” from the bustling crowds at PGA tournaments. Plus, Adam reflects on his unique friendship with his mentor, Purdue men's golf coach Rob Bradley, who joins the podcast to discuss this duo's journey from Purdue to the PGA Tour. You don't want to miss this conversation with a Boilermaker who is taking giant leaps in the world of professional golf.

Daniele Ippolito, a maestro of synthesized melodies, embarked on his musical journey at the tender age of 15, delving into the world of synthesizers while honing his skills in composing and arrangement. By the age of 21, he unveiled his debut track, "Riddle," marking the inception of a promising music career. At 23, Daniele released his inaugural album, "Sounds Of The Vice," an instrumental masterpiece reminiscent of 80s nostalgia aimed at capturing the essence of Miami, a city that had profoundly influenced him during his formative years. The following year, he dedicated himself to crafting "Materia," a magnum opus that would solidify his signature sound. Collaborating with esteemed artists such as Rob Bradley and various musicians, "Materia" became the cornerstone of his burgeoning career. In 2022, Daniele made history by independently distributing his third album on vinyl and CDs, a significant milestone that underscored his artistic evolution and growing acclaim. With over one and a half million streams and listeners across digital platforms, Daniele's discography resonates with audiences worldwide. The release of "Materia" propelled Daniele into new realms of opportunity and collaboration. His remix of "Pretty Face" by Styloo garnered widespread praise and acclaim, establishing him as a force to be reckoned with in the synth-wave genre. Simultaneously, Daniele ventured into the realm of cinematic composition, earning accolades for his evocative scores at prestigious film festivals.Daniele's musical style defies categorization, seamlessly blending elements of ambient, synth-wave, new age, darkwave, progressive, and soundtrack genres. Rejecting the constraints of labels, he draws inspiration from a diverse range of influences, from Italo-disco to classical music and beyond. Central to his artistic ethos is his commitment to using vintage synthesizers, imbuing his compositions with a warmth and character that is unmistakably his own.The "Essencials" project epitomizes Daniele's dual identity and artistic evolution. Comprising two distinct parts, the project reflects his journey through nostalgia, strength, darkness, and introspection. Collaborating with fellow musicians, Daniele weaves a tapestry of emotions, crafting a musical narrative that transcends boundaries and resonates deeply with listeners. As Daniele continues to push the boundaries of his craft, his passion for music remains unwavering. With each composition, he invites audiences on a journey of sonic exploration, forging connections that transcend time and space. In the ever-evolving landscape of electronic music, Daniele Ippolito stands as a visionary artist, a pioneer of sound, and a beacon of creativity. Hosted on Acast. As businesses prepare to meet the growing demand for transparency in emissions reporting, the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) is leading the way in setting global standards for climate target setting. In a recent episode of the EY Sustainability Matters podcast, host Bruno Sarda is joined by Alberto Carrillo Pineda, cofounder and CTO of the SBTi, and the two members of the EY Climate Change and Sustainability Services, Rob Bradley, Managing Director, Ernst & Young LLP, and Miranda Nayyar, Manager, Ernst & Young LLP. Setting, reporting and delivering on credible climate targets is becoming increasingly important as mandatory climate regulations come into effect. EY teams and the SBTi are collaborating in this area to support clients in committing to and setting science-based targets, and in developing decarbonization pathways to meet these goals. The EY organization and the SBTi recently co-authored research on the landscape of corporate measurement, reporting and verification related to science-based target setting, which will be available later on ey.com. Pineda emphasizes that the SBTi's focus is on setting the global standard for science-based climate targets to promote accountability and transparency. The speakers address the challenges companies face in climate target setting, particularly in gathering robust data and achieving set targets. The discussion also explores the impact of emerging climate disclosures, such as the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the U.S. Securities and Exchange commission (SEC), and how companies can prepare for these. Looking to the future, Pineda is optimistic about the actual implementation, and notes that the SBTi standards will continue to evolve. Key takeaways include: The importance of setting climate targets has increased, and with more companies making public disclosures, issues of standardization have arisen. The SBTi is evolving standards to provide a globally standardized way to set climate targets and assess decarbonization progress. Setting of targets should go hand in hand with a robust decarbonization strategy to deliver on commitments. Key challenges are data collection and access to data across the value chain. The SBTi is moving toward a formal standard-setting structure and remains dedicated to continuously evolving and revising their standards to ensure alignment with the most up-to-date scientific research and evidence. © 2023 Ernst & Young LLP

So what did Warren Buffett mean by silver tongued demagogues and slaying dragons? Jesse sits down with Rob Bradley, a fellow Berkshire Hathaway shareholder and CFP in Rochester, NY, to discuss the wealth of knowledge behind Berkshire Hathaway's latest annual letter to shareholders. Buffett is widely regarded as one of the greatest investors of all time and his investing style has been studied and emulated by many investors over the years. Rob breaks down how Berkshire Hathaway has outperformed the S&P, invested in Apple as an indispensable consumer product, and poised itself to take advantage of domestic businesses based on their intrinsic value. Quotes: "Charlie and I are not stock pickers. We are business pickers." "When you are told that all repurchases are harmful to shareholders or to the country or particularly beneficial to CEOs. You are listening to either an economic illiterate or a silver tongued demagogue, characters that are not mutually exclusive." "Successful investing takes time, discipline and patience. No matter how great the effort, some things just take time. You can't produce a baby in 1 month by getting 9 women pregnant.” “Bitcoin was probably rat poison squared.” "Interest rates are to financial instruments as gravity is to matter." Caterer.com Catch Ups Time to catch up with inspiring hospitality people. Rob Bradley chats to Natalie Cash Recruitment Manager, Peach Pubs . “We will be taking out some tables and making sure people can dine really safely with us. We've got our menus ready. They're slightly simpler, with less on the main menu so we can run our kitchens with fewer chefs who can safely work together. “There will be more emphasis on specials and our chefs, a team of really solid guys who know Peach very well. With the reduced menus our chefs will be able to decide their own specials, reacting to the weather or the supply better. It means that there's lots of opportunity for them to get creative and keep that excitement alive."

This is supposed to be the final week of the Legislative Session, but it won’t. Senate Budget Chair Rob Bradley says they’ll need to go into overtime, if only for a few days. — While the budget talks are still a work in progress, several major issues were settled over the weekend. — VISIT FLORIDA will NOT be abolished, thanks (in part) to the coronavirus. — Teachers and state workers will be getting a pay raise. — Hundreds of millions of dollars in the state’s affordable housing trust fund will actually be spent on housing, instead of being diverted to other projects. — House and Senate leaders have also agreed to the Governor’s request for $25 million to help the state fight the coronavirus. The House has backed off its original position to eliminate 500 positions from the Florida Department of Health. — But there are still plenty of differences that must be worked out, including criminal justice and the environment. — The latest on Florida Woman: Deputies say a woman was caught inside a Walmart making a nail bomb with materials she took off the shelves.
Banning sunscreen bans is on the agenda for the Senate, which seeks to overturn a local ordinance in Key West that prohibits the sale of certain chemical sunscreens. Meanwhile, the House is talking about abolishing the Constitution Revision Commission. Also, on today’s Sunrise: — Sen. Rob Bradley’s sunscreen bill is on the fast track in The Capitol, while the House version passed through its second committee. — The Senate Health Policy Committee approves a bill raising the legal age for tobacco or vaping products from 18 to 21. — A Boston terrier named Allie is the guest of honor at the Senate Criminal Justice Committee. Allie was standing on top of the speaker’s podium as lawmakers debated a bill named in her honor. — Sen. Jason Pizzo is pushing a bill that creates a loophole in the law prohibiting lewd and lascivious behavior. He wants to carve out an exemption for clothing-optional beaches and nudist colonies. Fortunately, he did NOT bring any witnesses (or visual aids) to the hearing. — On Sunrise is Stephanie Smith, who was a staffer for former Governors Jeb Bush and Charlie Crist. Smith is now lobbying for Uber … as the ride-sharing giant gears up for the Super Bowl in South Florida. — As for Florida Man (or Woman, in this case): 46-year-old Stephanie Saladino was pushing an 11-month-old infant in a baby stroller when she passed out on a sidewalk in Clearwater. Saladino and the baby were rushed to the hospital, where police say her blood-alcohol level was .338. That’s more than four times the legal limit for driving (and nearly fatal). Saladino told officers she drank some wine before taking the child out for a stroll.
On this packed episode of He Said, She Said, Peter and Michelle welcome Sens. Rob Bradley and Jeff Brandes to the podcast to give an update on the first week of the 2020 Florida legislative session. The state senators talk about their legislation and what to expect from the budget in upcoming weeks. Florida Lottery attorney Alexis Lambert joins the podcast to share the story behind the common sense gift ban exemption amendment in play this session.
State Sen. Rob Bradley’s criminal justice reform bill has gained traction in the Senate Appropriations Committee, where members approved giving first-time drug offenders a break from minimum mandatory sentences. Under his proposal, anyone convicted of the first time of buying or possessing less than 2 grams of any narcotic — except fentanyl — would not have to serve more than a year in jail. House leaders don’t share Bradley’s enthusiasm, but he’s not discouraged. Also, on today’s #Sunrise: — Senate leaders are pushing ahead with their new gun safety legislation … much to the dismay of the National Rifle Association lobbyist Marion Hammer, who calls it gun control on steroids. — A bill banning the import, export, and sale of shark fins clears its second House committee. — Bud Chiles, the son of the late Gov. Lawton Chiles, talks about his new campaign to encourage purchasing American-grown produce. — In an all-woman Florida Man segment, stories of two girls-gone-wild at two different airports.

His treatise Oil, Gas, and Government is the definitive record of U.S. government intervention in the oil & gas markets. Rob chose Murray Rothbard as the chair for his dissertation in Political Economy. At one point in his career, Rob served as a speechwriter for Ken Lay, CEO of Enron, which afforded Rob a firsthand view of the skullduggery that would later be wrongly blamed on capitalism. . . . . . A judge sentenced a Florida man to 10 days in jail, one-year probation and 150 hours of community service because he overslept and failed to show up for jury duty. Records show he’s done it before, and some suggest the punishments were based on race. State Sen. Bobby Powell filed a formal complaint against the judge and believes he should be removed from office. Also, on today’s Sunrise: — State Rep. Susan Valdes wants students to be able to take off one day each semester for mental health reasons. Two other states have already passed similar laws. — Dean Ridings, the of the Florida Press Association is resigning next month, but he’s not giving up on newspapers. But Senate Appropriations Committee Chair Rob Bradley disagrees, saying: “not really.” Also, on today’s Sunrise: — Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried is asking state legislators to ante up for the Florida Forest Service. With the threat of wildfires looming in the Panhandle due to Hurricane Michael devastation, Fried says the agency is still using Vietnam War-era helicopters. — A newly released Florida Atlantic University poll shows Elizabeth Warren gaining ground on Joe Biden in the Sunshine State. Warren, Biden and Bernie Sanders are each in a statistical tie against Donald Trump in Florida. But political guru Steve Vancore has some concerns about the poll’s methodology. — Adventures of Florida Woman: Police in Ocoee are searching for a Florida woman accused of attacking employees of a local Burger King. She was in the drive-thru when something set her off, where she then left her car, went inside and battered several workers and damaged some fixtures. The burger basher was last seen driving off in a bright orange Dodge Charger.
He’s one of the main architects of the Florida Budget, and yet we for the most part avoid talking math in this episode. State Senator Rob Bradley is a republican out of Clay County, he is also the chairman of the appropriations committee in the Florida Senate. In this episode, we talk about his time in office, why term limits are forcing him out, the challenges facing our state in the future, and the natural parts of Florida that remain unchanged for generations.
This week my guest is the person who deserves to be known as the Robert Caro of energy history—Robert L. Bradley Jr. Rob is the founder of the Institute for Energy Research, one of the best go-to sources for information and analysis about energy (and especially debunking the nonsense energy romanticism of the left), but most important for our purposes is the author of several astounding histories... On this episode of He Said, She Said, Michelle and Peter recap the 2019 legislative session, tally the winners and losers, and talk about the bills that will affect the daily lives of Floridians for years to come. Peter explains why he thinks the 2019 session was consequential and NOT historic. They welcome Senate Appropriations Chair Rob Bradley to the pod to talk budget process, along with Rep. Jackie Toledo, a key legislator behind Florida's new texting and driving ban. They wax poetic on the Kentucky Derby, The Royal baby, and Game of Thrones (again).

CNN has responded to ever greater complexity in the advertising ecosystem by creating CNN Reach - a new unit within CNN International Commercial to specialize in smart targeting of audiences and campaign optimisation on CNN platforms and beyond. In this session from Digiday Publishing Summit Europe, CNN international executives Rob Bradley and Leo Urushibata go under the bonnet of how CNN Reach works, why it was created and why publishers need to evolve and offer more to clients by introducing such consultancy services.
In his sweeping 1996 Cato book, Oil, Gas and Government: The U.S. Experience, Rob Bradley described a century of political capitalism in the energy industry. In recent years, leading energy entrepreneurs such as Ken Lay (Enron), John Browne (BP), Jeffrey Immelt (GE) and, most recently, Elon Musk (Tesla) continue the clammy pursuit of wealth via government subsidies and regulations, often perfumed with trendy environmentalism. Now, in Enron Ascending: The Forgotten Years (1984–1996), Bradley identifies a broader context for political capitalism—“contra-capitalism,” a repeating syndrome that links rent-seeking with corporate deceit and personal violation of bourgeois virtues. From this new perspective, Bradley rebuts both the charge that corporate scandals reflect badly on capitalism and the apologia that they are merely committed by capitalism’s “bad apples.” As an alternative, Bradley lays out a well-developed mirror image of contra-capitalism—a suite of behaviors consistent with classical-liberal teachings for business management. UP Close and On Fire with S and K Ep 26 ThrillKiller and The Boys of Psych UP Close and On Fire with S and K Ep 26 ThrillKiller and The Boys of PsychTonight we feature ThrillKiller Baltimore MD Created by Rob Bradley alongside Maxim Sobchenko. Thillkiller explores the boundaries of rock, pop, and metal creating a sound totally unique to itself. Playing in events such as MAGstock and the Main Street Music Festival, the band has performed on stages such as Merriweather Post Pavillion and Baltimore Soundstage as well as many others. Thrillkiller is joined by Sebastian Ochoa(bass) and Saywer Lubold(drums) hot on the heels of their new single, The King of 1984. The Boys of Psych, Easton PA PSYCH” first began as a studio project whose members all shared a common desire to write and record original music. Once in the studio together, after just a few sessions, it was evident that our combination of musical styles and personalities were something more than any of us really expected. After numerous hours of writing and rehearsing, we decided that we would test the waters and start playing some local shows to see how our music would go over with a live audience. Our band was received well by audiences and we decided to give it all we have. We played a number of benefit shows, Live college radio programs, started our own website www.psychrocks.com. We also entered into a radio competition for original bands and were picked as a top 5 finalists. Then soon after, nominated by our fans into our local Music Awards. We brought home “Best Original Band”. At this point, things really seemed to be falling into place for us,So we decided to move forward with the release of our first CD entitled “PSYCH 101”. The CD was released on New Years Eve of 2012 with a live performance/CD release Party at a local venue. The turn out was decent and we began putting CD’s into the hands of our fans. In March of 2012 we were offered the opportunity of opening for The “Michael Schenker Group” in front of a crowd of about 2,000..We were very well received and in November of 2012 we accepted the offer to open for “Dio Desciples” with Tim “Ripper” Owens. This was another great show that we are grateful and proud to have played.. The “Bottom Line” is that we work “very hard” to promote our band and it seems to being paying off for us. Not only are we gaining new fans, but new opportunities too. Please share PSYCH with your friends through our website www.psychrocks.com or through our Facebook page “The Boys of Psych.” Thank You for helping PSYCH chase there dreams. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/luciaandglynn/support

Many in Washington deny that the nation's energy needs can be met by free markets. Wars on coal and carbon dioxide follow this faith in government regulation and control of energy. Since the 1970s, however, more libertarian voices have been heard on these issues. Rob Bradley, who has been involved with free-market energy policy since its inception, will discuss the history of libertarian thinking on past energy policy and its relevance for current policy debates. Please join us for a provocative look at an alternative way of thinking about energy and public policy. See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
DeadEcho is the combined force of Rob Bradley and Adam Firman. Their mopst recent release, She's All over Me included MarcAshken on vocal duties and a huge remix package featuring Jay Tripwire, Ashken, Pedramovich, Clio and 102nd Century. It's a sleazy fingers up to the mundane with tongue in cheek vocals about a wasted girl bothering a DJ in a club. Ewan Pearson has been nailing it and listed it in his most recent ‘’bombs in the bag’’ and Circo Loco’s Clive Henry stated it was ‘’the best promo I have been sent in time…maximum support!’’ If you add this with support from Italoboyz, Jamie Jones and Slam, it is safe to say this release made a splash. Added to all this the boys are resident and co-promoters at the FVF Records / Save You Records monthly party, DIP, at the Russian in London. The party has been on the up since it's launch and has featured a host of down and dirty guests with future guests including Rebekah, Miss Sunshine, Jay Tripwire and more. With several E.Ps and a string of remixes soon to release, gigs booked in Brighton, London, Ireland and Germany for 2011, you will hear a lot more from DeadEcho in 2011. TIP: Watch out for their upcoming remix of Leigh Myles on FVF ;)
