Podcast Overview: In this conversation, Will Clarke, Huxley, and Ramin Rezaie discuss the evolution of the music industry over the past decade, emphasizing the importance of community building, engagement, and authenticity. They explore the role of luck in achieving success, the challenges posed by the streaming landscape, and the diminishing relevance of curators. The discussion also touches on the need for artists to understand their value in the business and the launch of a new platform aimed at supporting artists in their development.Who Is Huxley: Huxley aka Michael Dodman is one of the hardest working producers and DJs out there. Originally weaned on a classic British diet of house, garage and techno, he's continually buffing his sound via increasingly high profile DJ sets and a steady string of well received singles and EPs. Huxley has plunged his beats deeper and wider to incorporate more of his influences through releases for some of electronic music's best loved imprints including Tsuba, Morris Audio, Fear of Flying, Hypercolour and 20:20 Vision.Who Is Ramin Rezaie: British talent Ramin Rezaie is known all over Europe and further afield for his energetic House / Tech House / Minimal Deep Tech. With a great performance background he's played at some of the world's most reputable clubs including Fabric London, DC10, Studio 338, Privilege Ibiza, EGG London. Influenced by everything from Funk and Hip-Hop to avant-garde electronica. Ramin's prominence is on musical depth rather than genre boundaries. His approach to the skilled art of DJing is unorthodox and unique, expect hypnotic journeys accompanied by his signature produced stripped back RAW grooves with hard kicks, trembling sub baselines, sharp synths accompanied by soulful vocal cuts. With all this being said it's no surprise that his productions receive regular support from the heavy hitters including Jamie Jones, Richy Ahmed, Solardo, Dennis Cruz, Reelow, PAWSA and Michael Bibi to name just a few.Join for updates: https://laylo.com/willclarke⏲ Follow Will Clarke ⏱https://djwillclarke.com/https://open.spotify.com/artist/1OmOdgwIzub8DYPxQYbbbi?si=hEx8GCJAR3mhhhWd_iSuewhttps://www.instagram.com/djwillclarkehttps://www.facebook.com/willclarkedjhttps://twitter.com/djwillclarkehttps://www.tiktok.com/@djwillclarke Hosted on Acast. Video Version: https://youtu.be/NjiLMXCm2wA Jordan Peak is held in high regard by his peers across house and techno music. He first made his mark backwhen Pete Tong and DJMag tipped him as ‘one to watch'. He then went from strength-to-strength, in the studio and DJ booth becoming renowned for his finely crafted productions blending classic house and techno sounds with his own modern and distinctive twist. This hasculminated in Jordan gracing the decks of the world's best venues and parties including fabric, Mint Leeds,Rex Club, Studio 80, Pacha, Space and Electric Pickle. This saw Jordan gain staunch support from the house and techno elite Carl Cox, Disclosure, Gerd Janson, Groove Armada, Jamie Jones, John Digweed, Kerri Chandler, Marco Carola, Maya Jane Coles, Patrick Topping and Seth Troxler. With releases on some of the world's most esteemed imprints Bass Culture, One Records, Morris Audio. Robsoul and Saved Records. All the while gaining attention from premier dance publication Mixmag with not one but two tune of the month titles. Just as things really began to lift off Jordan he was hit with complications from the lung disease cystic fibrosis which thankfully settled but during this period of his life it had a knock on effect impacting his mental health and eventually forcing him to put the brakes on his burgeoning artist career...During his enforced sabbatical, Jordan rediscovered his passion for martial arts, alongside starting therapy tohelp with his mental health battles. After a few years off from music to address his physical and mental health, Jordan decided to start making music again and it was like a tap had been turned on and the creativeideas came flowing out again. With Jordan's passion reignited he sent some music across to Timmy P and Devstar's label Make You Move and in the summer of 2022 he released his smash ‘Less Drama, More Party EP' receiving support for severalmonths from BBC Radio 1 heavyweights Pete Tong, Danny Howard and Sarah Story. Now after a prolonged hiatus Jordan Peak is back with a renewed strength and determination to bring his inspiring crossover house and techno sound to the masses. This includes launching his own imprint Peak Trax, a creative outlet for Jordan to showcase his own brand of house and techno. 1. Worship is a COMMAND 2 Chronicles 20:18 Then King Jehoshaphat bowed low with his face to the ground. And all the people of Judah and Jerusalem did the same, worshiping the LORD. (NLT) Psalms 95:6 Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the LORD our Maker; (NIV) Psalms 99:9 Exalt the LORD our God and worship at his holy mountain, for the LORD our God is holy. (NIV) Psalms 100:2 Worship the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. (NIV) 2 Chronicles 20:21 After consulting the people, the king appointed singers to walk ahead of the army, singing to the LORD and praising him for his holy splendor. This is what they sang: “Give thanks to the LORD; his faithful love endures forever!” (NLT) 2. Worship CREATES an atmosphere for the miraculous 2A. Worship creates an atmosphere where God shows up 2 Chronicles 20:22 At the very moment they began to sing and give praise, the LORD caused the armies of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir to start fighting among themselves... (NLT) 2B. Worship creates an atmosphere where God shows off 2 Chronicles 20:22 At the very moment they began to sing and give praise, the LORD caused the armies of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir to start fighting among themselves. (NLT) 2C. Worship creates an atmosphere where the enemy is shut down 2 Chronicles 20:23-24 The armies of Moab and Ammon turned against their allies from Mount Seir and killed every one of them. After they had destroyed the army of Seir, they began attacking each other. 24 So when the army of Judah arrived at the lookout point in the wilderness, all they saw were dead bodies lying on the ground as far as they could see. Not a single one of the enemy had escaped. (NLT) Psalm 8:2 Through the praise of children and infants you have established a stronghold against your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger. (NIV) 2D. Worship creates an atmosphere for freedom 2 Corinthians 3:17 For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. (NLT) 2E. Worship creates an atmosphere for provision 2 Chronicles 20:25-26 King Jehoshaphat and his men went out to gather the plunder. They found vast amounts of equipment, clothing, and other valuables—more than they could carry. There was so much plunder that it took them three days just to collect it all! 16 On the fourth day they gathered in the Valley of Blessing, which got its name that day because the people praised and thanked the LORD there. It is still called the Valley of Blessing today. (NLT) 3. Worship Must Be Continuous 2 Chronicles 20:27-28 Then all the men returned to Jerusalem, with Jehoshaphat leading them, overjoyed that the LORD had given them victory over their enemies. 28 They marched into Jerusalem to the music of harps, lyres, and trumpets, and they proceeded to the Temple of the LORD. (NLT) Hebrews 13:15 Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise—the fruit of lips that openly profess his name. (NIV) Psalms 34:1 I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. (NKJV) Psalms 71:8 My mouth is filled with your praise, declaring your splendor all day long. (NIV) 3a. Don’t let the battle steal your worship 3b. Don’t let people steal your worship 3c. Don’t let pride steal your worship 3d. Don’t let feelings steal your worship 3e. Don’t let success steal your worship

The Blur Podcasts return to present the German DJ and producer - Simon Hinter. Having begun his career in the 90's producing hip-hop and deejaying and scratching, he has developed over the years into a prolific electronic music producer with releases on labels such as Freerange Records, Quintessentials, Morris Audio, Madhouse Records, Just Move Records, Hafendisko, Defected and many others. One to not care about musical rules or principles, Simon Hinter is serious about his music being his alone, and allowing him to do whatever he wants, whenever. Citing influences such as hip-hop, soul, jazz, funk and rare soundtracks of the sixties and seventies, he identifies himself primarily as a producer, although DJing and his love for these soulful tunes from the past have been cemented in him since an early age. For all these reasons and many more, we are very proud to present for the first time at the 40th edition of the Blur Podcasts - Simon Hinter - which is now live on our Youtube and Soundcloud pages. He is responsible for the development and implementation of sport specific strength, conditioning, flexibility, speed and agility programs for the 8 time national champion men's soccer team. Tom Ellis uniquely sophisticated set was a big highlight for us at this past weekends @sol-asylum-records anniversary party in Hoppetosse so we are more than happy to present this podcast made with all of his own productions for our mix series 007. A core member and resident of the Freerotation Festival, Tom Ellis has been releasing funk & jazz inspired house & techno since 2003, when he launched Trimsound, his first label, which was co-run with Leif. His vast discography includes over 40 EPs and 7 albums that pop up on some of the world's most respected underground labels. His early appearances on Mindtours and Trimsound led to worldwide recognition and further releases and remixes for Archipel, Good Ratio Music, Classic, Philpot, Moon Harbour, Leap, Telegraph, Logistic, Black Key Records, Eye4Eye, Floppy Funk, Morris Audio, Flumo, Supremus Records, Hartchef Discos, Minibar, Highgrade, Klamauk, and Som Bom (the electronic spin-off label run by fellow Welsh men, Super Furry Animals) and many, many more. Forever steering into the weirder side of things, he tries to anchor himself with his experience as a self-taught musician. Playing drums, bass, keys and guitar from an early age has given him a good foundation from which to understand and explore electronic music with the groove, soul and funk of a real musician. 2016 has seen the launch of his new solo label, In Modo Di, with the first record landing high in the bestseller charts, and the launch of his new monthly radio show on KMAH radio, The Taunton Loft Sessions. Sit back and enjoy this wonderful piece of joy created by the man himself. www.residentadvisor.net/dj/tomellis www.facebook.com/tomellismusic
Germany’s Tom Clark and Canada’s Noah Pred have both individually made quite the mark over the years, Clark founded the infamous Highgrade Records whilst Pred headed up Thoughtless Music as well as releases on the likes of Biotop, Morris / Audio, Alphahouse and Trapez between them. Here though the pair return under their False Image guise for the Tact Recordings imprint, with remixes from the label founders Yard One and Fletcher.‘Schönliner’ leads with a bumpy drum groove, winding dub textures and wandering resonant synth licks resulting in a funk-infused slice of micro house. The second original ‘Willowing’ is up next, retaining a similar aesthetic but upping the energy levels with driving synth swells, stuttering low- end hits and a winding resonant hook.Fletcher’s remix of ‘Schönliner’ follows, taking a more refined approach with heavily swung drums, pops, clicks and pulsating subs at its core whilst stirring in the original’s smooth dub echoes. Yard One’s ‘Reshape’ of ‘Willowing’ closes the package, stripping things back to modulating percussion, the original’s sharp low-end hits and an underlying atmospheric tension throughout.

Manooz is keeping up the underground/chicago/detroit deephouse in the south of Germany. Till today he released some real house music on labels like: Housewax, Morris Audio, Seven Music and recently his "Deeper Side EP" on Soulfood Records. We are very happy that Manooz was keen to record a podcast for us because we pretty much got the same taste in music. Enjoy it!

We met Nick back in 2012 for the first time while Jeremy Underground played his first gig at Watergate Club downstairs. We knew that we have the same passion for house music, we shared the love standing on the dance floor as much we love to cheer up the crowd playin' some honest house records. In the meantime Nick managed to release his fabolous tracks on labels like Wax Classics, Morris Audio or Beste Modus' sub label Beste Freunde (coming soon). Please have a listen to this mix. Enjoy!

We don't know too much about ill76 except that he has been around quite a while and used to own Illmatic Records - An underground record store in Dallas. We think he has phenomenal taste in music and have been following his soundcloud page closely for some time. He is a big supporter of vinyl and his sound ranges from Dub Techno to deeper and darker shades of tech house. He has dabbled in production with MAETRIK on early releases for Morris Audio, Immigrant, Chalant, Treibstoff and Intrinsic Design. Here he serves up an excellent slice of what to expect from one of his sets. A pure Quality selector. Also check out his own soundcloud page for more of the same. ENJOY!
Tracklist: Stareaway - Someone Like You
