A relative newcomer to the scene, vault. is quickly rising to international prominence for his deep, minimal, and dubby productions. His journey with electronic music can be traced back to the San Francisco underground circa 2017, where he was first exposed to club culture. His obsession mounted within a month of his first party, and he quickly made the transition from club stranger to club regular. He heard minimal at a local afters during this discovery period, and, brimming with inspiration from its distinct sonic palette, started to experiment with production. In July 2021, vault. moved into a van to travel the US. At the same time, he was accepted as a student of Montreal-based electronic music legend, Pheek. Pheek's tutelage helped to quickly elevate vault.'s production skills, and releases followed in short order. He released “Malaise” on Mexico-based Microgravity Records in September 2021, and subsequently had a cadre of releases on esteemed minimal and dub techno labels, including ECOUL SND (LV), Fetish Radio Records (US), Defora Records (IT), Verzila (RO), Todd Nerdy (LV), Inunct Music (RO), and Welter Records (RO). Extended interview with @pheek: https://www.cultkitchen.radio/pheek-interview First taking interest as a sound enthusiast, Montreal's Jean-Patrice Remillard began exploring electronic music in earnest by the early 1990s, teaching himself how to produce and manipulate sounds with software and hardware. Pheek now finds himself releasing amongst his idols for such renowned labels as Richie Hawtin's M_NUS, France's Telegraph, Denmark's Tic Tac Toe or Germany's Contexterrior, gaining particular recognition for the unique quality and texture of his sounds. Nourished by his experiences and hoping to construct his own community of likeminded musicians, Pheek founded the Archipel Musique Canada netlabel in 2004 that is now firmly ensconced in the international minimal techno and tech-house scene.

For our eighth edition of the Equilibrisme Podcast Series, we proudly present Dr.Nojoke, with a rare vinyl set. Frank Bogdanowitz alias Dr. Nojoke is a producer and performer – his live sets continually bring new and unique sounds to the table, a combination of field-recordings, self-made sounds, and highly conceptual production that redefine the way we understand electronic music. A Berlin native and leader in directional minimal techno (or “clikno” as he describes it), Dr. Nojoke is a master of rethinking ordinary musicality and procuring new uses for the everyday. “Emma Robertson” CLIKNO Since 2005 Dr.Nojoke has been working on technoid sound-sculptures based on self-made field-recordings. He defines a deep, minimal, complex and groovy music, he calls Clikno. Always with an experimental approach in production Dr.Nojoke transforms acoustic sounds into highly technological music – reflecting the real world in an electronic sound. Dr.Nojoke has been releasing on a multitude of labels such as Pheek's imprint Archipel, Klangscheiben, Sleep is Commerical, Pluie/Noir, Destroy All Monsters, Goldmin Music, Minim.all, Autist, Resopal… In 2016 he founded his own music label CLIKNO, which started to put out vinyl editions in 2018. He did remixes for acts like Rosenstolz, Dinamoe (Rico Püstel), Pheek, David Last and D.Diggler as well as for the English Electro-poetress Caro Snatch, M_Ferri (alias Superlover), Sven Laux, Andrew Duke, Sebastian Albrecht, Andrés Marcos and got remixed by Cleymoore, Berk Offset, Marlene Magnoli, Alicia Hush, the Marx Trukker … In 2018 Dr.Nojoke launched CLIKNO as a vinyl-label for his own music productions. This beautiful mix was specially created for our record release party at Transit last December and re-imagined at home. We hope you enjoy! That was a crucial moment of his life, knowing that music would have been an essential part of his life. Since then, his interests have been 100% focused on music and he rapidly learned first how to djing and then how to produce his own tracks. Moving at the age of 18 to Amsterdam, he started playing both there and on his native Romania, counting more than 100+ venues in his home-country. His superlative skills behind the decks merged with the constantly growing experience and his finest music selection led him to play in United Kingdom, Switzerland, Spain, Germany, France, Lebanon, Italy, Poland, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Hungary, Holland, and all over Romania, both in clubs, big festival and exclusive intimate private parties. This whismical journey continued during the years, and in 2014 Plusculaar took one of the biggest step of his career, starting his label called ‘Binaural Arts’ – a place to spread his love for music and idea of sound – which releases music both on vinyl and digital from renowned artists and newcomers and of course his own productions. Meticulous and mindful of every detail, he saw his tracks being released on famous labels such as iO Mulen’s fabulous label, Pheek’s “Archipel Recordings”, “Conceptual Records”, “Tzinah”, “Hashplant”, “Crocus”, “Inwave” and “Metroline LTD” to name a few, always providing serious micro house bouncy beats combined his unmistakble groovy hypnotic touch. His latest release on vinyl "Mermaids" on the "PLEASURE ZONE" label found a lot of lovers around the world.
Follow the Artist: @Pheek https://www.facebook.com/pheekaudio @room323music https://www.facebook.com/room323music It is our pleasure to welcome the man behind Archipel imprint PHEEK to the next MINIM Podcast Series. Not just another mix but a live performance by PHEEK featuring an up and coming artist ROOM323 that just had his 8 track debut album released on Archipel. ROOM323 is a minimal house / techno producer & DJ based in Tel Aviv and Milan. About Pheek: First taking interest as a sound enthusiast, Montreal's Jean-Patrice Remillard began exploring electronic music in earnest by the early 1990s, teaching himself how to produce and manipulate sounds with software and hardware. Noticed by Hautec Recordings in 1999, the local label released the 12” ERS 1-2-3, Pheek's minimal techno collaboration with Mateo Murphy. By 2002 Pheek had produced two critically acclaimed full-length albums and gained a prestigious reputation for his memorable live sets at Epsilonlab events. With his music now turning heads overseas Pheek departed on his first European tour, visiting and performing in over fifteen countries. Meanwhile, releasing with German netlabel Thinner allowed Jean-Patrice to consort with a group of peers who could provide invaluable aid and assistance. Beginning to build on an international scale, Pheek now finds himself releasing amongst his idols for such renowned labels as Richie Hawtin's M_nus imprint, France's Telegraph, Denmark's Tic Tac Toe or Germany's Contexterrior, gaining particular recognition for the unique quality and texture of his sounds. Nourished by his experiences and hoping to construct his own community of likeminded musicians, Pheek founded the Archipel netlabel in 2004. The immediate support and praise of media and clientele allowed Archipel to quickly achieve a key goal, releasing Pheek and Jesse Somfay's Galapagos Excursion Joint 1 as their first vinyl in early 2006. With his little family growing fast, Archipel has now launced the Kalimari sublabel, already at two releases. With Galapagos Excursion Joint becoming a favourite of Sven Vath (it appears on his next mix CD), and Kalimari's Mein Tesh included on Matthew Dear's Fabric 17 CD, Pheek's labels are now firmly ensconced in the international minimal techno and tech-house scene. His live performances and recordings now in widespread demand, Pheek continues to pride himself on building, creating and developping… Art first.

In early 2007, Giuseppe Marchegiano began to produce under the pseudonym of Hubble, shortly after the release of his first vinyl on Moulton label, he began to gather support from the underground and techno scene in Berlin and on the international level. He likes to consider his works as tools and not necessarily created to be officially released. We can call Hubble’s works “long hypnotic journeys”. Hubble, with his floating Techno sound and Psychedelic atmospheres has fronted a number of parties and events all around the world. We can't assign to him a specific genre or style, that's why he appeared on the past years in different locations with very different stories and vibes from Club der Visionaere (his favorite location) to Berghain, from Arma17 to Picnic Electronique in Montreal, from Rural Festival in Japan to Sunwaves in Romania, expressing his versatile attitude to music. In 2010 he releases his first album "Forget me not" for the label Archipel Musique and in the same year he started his collaboration with the Berliner underground collective Sleep Is Commercial. His first collaboration with his friend Pheek as EEBB and his second album “Reverse Utopia” were released on Sleep Is Commercial and most of his releases feature on the LTD only vinyl series of the label. Since then he has been releasing music on many other labels such as Haknam, Not So Secret Diary, Concrete Records and other unofficial nonprofit projects as unknown artist. Hubble will start in 2015 his own music label.

NUMB012 - CHRISTIAN DITTMANN - OTOÑO EP (12" vinyl & digital) Remixes by PHEEK - PARTIKEL / MANDY JORDAN - OMAR SALGADO Our Chilean friend Christian Dittmann catches up with his 1st EP on Numbolic Records. His Music is exceptionally & stunning arranged. Every element is perfectly placed on its right position and some huge-aestetic patterns turn into deep, moody & driving tracks. The A-Side track 'Otoño' is an effortlessly cool and airy composition packed with lots of lyrically elements. With 'Soñando con Luces' he has been taken care of fine style as far as simple beauty is concerned in order to make an auspicious B-Side. Accomplished with graceful self-assurance, Christian provides a really sharp picture of his musical vision. Pheek himself provides a bouncier rework of the title track 'Otoño', cutting out much of the melancholy in favour of a smashing kick and a plodding surround. He takes this one further into tech territory, bringing his typically sounds & grooves to the table. Partikel's version of 'Otoño' is preserving most of the original's signature elements while bumping up the groove with its very own subtle and unhasty details. In addition to the 12" release we have added a handful of interesting digital enhancements. With 'Colores', Christian takes things in a different direction while speeding it up even more. Pheek's 2nd edit of 'Otoño' feels like mellow, heavenly and sharp sounding at the same time, just another enrichment to this release. Having two more remixes of 'Soñando con Luces, Mandy Jordan and Omar Salgdo both strike back with their very own interpretations, their remixes are very rolling, deep and absolutely rocking on the dancefloor! Not only the creativity, but also the emotions shine through beautifully throughout the whole release. Just make sure you pick this up before it sells out :-) Be Numbolic..!
