Joyfully Rooted Podcast is about building up and encouraging women everywhere to see life through eternal eyes. The world will pass away with its desires and troubles [1 John 2:17], but He remains steadfast. In a life with many changing seasons, let us choose to be rooted in the One who will always remain the same. Today, tomorrow, and for eternity. Follow Joyfully Rooted Podcast on social media. As we've continued talking through receiving God's gifts of newness, steadfastness and accountability, it is only right that we conclude our season by talking about God's greatest gift - the gift of grace. It's hard to embrace grace. Especially when we set the bar high for ourselves. But the fact remains that, because of our sinful nature, we will fall short at some point. But it is in those moments when God's grace becomes real to us and we are reminded that it is the righteousness of Christ that makes us complete and holy - not because of anything we have done. And we can continue to get back up with hope, knowing that His waves of grace are always coming to lift us back up. Scriptures 2 Timothy 1:9 John 1:16 Jude 24-25 Website https://joyfullyrootedpodcast.com/
Having accountability is God's great grace to us, because it means that we are never walking through life alone. And accountability is not just welcoming people into your life to call you out on your sin. It's having friends who you can do life with, people who can encourage you and help you bear your burdens. Even Jesus had 12 friends that He did everything with. So let's talk about how we can be more like Jesus in welcoming godly people into our journeys. Scriptures 1 Thessalonians 5:11 Galatians 6:2 Proverbs 15:22 Luke 10:1 Proverbs 16:18 Websitehttps://joyfullyrootedpodcast.com/
As we've been diving into the idea of newness, one of our desires each year (other than our resolutions) is just to remain consistent. We all desire consistency! However, in this episode, we'll talk about the difference between being "consistent" and the biblical perspective of being "steadfast". Because understanding the difference can be a major game changer in pursuing your hopes and goals for the year. Scriptures Proverbs 16:3 1 Corinthians 15:58 Matthew 19:26 Hebrews 10:23 Philippians 1:6 Website https://joyfullyrootedpodcast.com/
We all desire newness. A clean slate. A fresh start. Every year we set goals and have new aspirations to become the best version of ourselves. But how much more transformed would our lives be if we reached FIRST for Jesus? What if we fought to find our renewal FIRST in Jesus? In this episode we talk about the newness that Christ offers us every single day in Him.
Merry Christmas! During this holiday season, let us always remember the humble King who came to save and redeem us. Jesus is still redeeming today and I pray that you would experience the glorious joy that is ours in Him today and forevermore. Scriptures Luke 2:1-7 Website https://joyfullyrootedpodcast.com/
We all have moments when "believing" is hard. But the Magi (or Wise Men) set a great example for us in this; that when we don't know what to believe, God reveals His presence to us in the things that He has made [Romans 1:20]. The Wise Men saw a star, heard of a prophecy and decided to explore whether these things were true. And on their journey to find the truth, they found a newborn King and stepped into an eternal belief in God's redemption story. God places "Bethlehem Stars" all around us and is constantly drawing us deeper to Himself. See how God moves the Wise Men in this part of our Christmas series. We've all been tempted to cringe at the word "obedience". Maybe it's the lingering rebellion within us that immediately wants to shy away from talking about what it means to obey. But have you ever considered that obedience as a gift from God? Friend, I'm here to tell you that although obedience is a choice, it is also a GIFT! Why? Because we can't do it on our own strength. We need God's Spirit to empower us. Mary and Joseph are beautiful examples of the gift of obedience. They had every reason to say no to God and say yes to themselves. They could have been shamed and abandoned by their culture. But they chose God's way and God empowered them to live it out. Join me as we kick off our Christmas series diving deeper into the lives of these amazing godly examples. https://joyfullyrootedpodcast.com/
Truth is not something that we merely share. It is something we live! One the greatest things we can give to the world is the truth of God’s love and sacrifice. Of all the T’s this is the one that carries over into eternity. The Gospel of Jesus is a precious treasure that we carry and each day we are given the opportunity to lovingly and wisely share it with our neighbors. In this episode, we talk about the importance of self-evaluation - our personal perspective on truth - and how we can practically share it with those around us in a way that is beneficial. The idea of money tends to follow right behind the idea of “giving”. And although financial generosity has its place in blessing others, it is not the only way in which we bless others. An amazing thing about God is that He provides for us a variety of treasures that we can share with others; not just in dollar form, but in the form of our resources as well. In this episode, we’ll chat about the importance of humility in our giving and how we can practically utilize our resources to be generous to others. In this episode we talk about the dangers of devaluing our talents by comparing them with the talents of others. We discuss how no talent is too small to build the kingdom of God. And although not every talent is made for every season, God graciously helps us to be generous with our gifts in a variety of ways. I’m sure we can all agree that 2020 is not what we thought it would be. But if there is one thing we have learned in the midst of the madness, its that time is an invaluable gift! Quarantine in particular has taught us that work is not life, time is not guaranteed, our family is precious, and we have to MAKE time to GIVE time. In this episode, we talk about how to recognize where our time is most spent, determining if its being spent well, and how to practically be generous with our time even through the challenging circumstance that is quarantine.
