Today’s message centers around how to “Step Up to be a Blessing.” During the tumultuous times we are in, we must be creative on how to connect, grow, serve, and celebrate. Our lives should be centered around Jesus and prayer. Pastor reviewed the 5 “I wills” that can govern how we approach each day. True unity only lies within God. Pastor used the acronym ASK to encourage us to know the Word of God and pursue God in prayer. We are to be a blessing and God wants to use us today and tomorrow. We have a connection with Jesus and it is divine. We have the ability to make a difference, and we have the ability to speak and to sow into situations. God wants us to take action. And when we do, we can help restore those who need the word of Life. God must be in control if you want to be that blessing to the lost world. If you trust God, you will love His Word, seek His Word and you will obey His Word. Are you solely engaged in things that pertain to self? Being a true blessing can only be achieved if you have God’s motives. Engage in sober conversations and have sober encounters. Look for ways to become a blessing. Find a need and fill it. If you have the word on the inside and have immersed yourself in prayer, your efforts and the results will be “out of this world.” Step up to be a blessing. Romans 6:21, Well then, should we keep on sinning so that God can show us more and more of his wonderful grace? Of course not! The battle with sin is not always an easy one but God's word is clear in that he wants us to choose to do what is right over what is evil. In this video, I talk about why it is so important for us to dive deep into the topic of sin with our kids. The more we understand why it's so important the more committed and diligent we will be as moms to spend time talking about it. The goal after all, is to raise children that live a life pleasing to God and to do that well, they need to know what is displeasing to Him. So momma, let's equip our children with the knowledge they need to be faithful followers of Christ Jesus. Start by reading the story of Christ crucified and ask you kids if they understand why Jesus had to suffer and die. If they say, for our sins, press in more, past the basic knowledge. See what they say and let the Holy Spirit led you in helping them understand the weight of sin. If you need help, check out last Wednesday's video! Message Notes God sent His son when the time had fully come. God was ready to do something personal, so He had to do something relational. God came in person giving a demonstration of His love for us. God demonstrated He was for us before we had the opportunity to decide if we were for Him. God is the Author of Life. Jesus' death demonstrated the magnitude of our ingratitude and the magnitude of His love for us. God demonstrated His love for us through a great and necessary sacrifice. When the set time had come, and angel of the Lord spoke to Joseph. When the set time had come, God fulfilled His promise. God had to be with us, so we would know He is for us. Scriptures Galatians 4:4-7; Romans 5:7-8; Acts 3:14-15; Matthew 1:18-23; Isaiah 7:14; John 3:16

Have your way with me in spite of myself.
Edge God In Podcast 52: EdgeGodIn.com Championing Human Potential in Christ Download Bible Study Template Learning Objective: Learn how to put your love in action for more peace and joy. Scriptures: Galatians 5:14-26, 6:7-10 | 1 Corinthians 13: 2-13 Dear God, put within my hand the seeds YOU want me to sow that deepen the roots of your love in this world. Too often I focus on what I think, need and want and so seeds of self-focus rather than focusing on YOU in me. HELP me to feel your love and recognize all of the ways you come to me throughout my day. For I know I cannot give out what I have not experienced within. Sift my motives so that my heart is convicted to release selfishness that fuels ugly behavior. I want your LOVE to be the motive behind the seeds of my behavior. More of you, less of me.
Chandra Jarrett shares her personal struggle with being overweight, addicted to food and lack of exercise. She also shares her professional struggle of being unable to complete graduate school after beginning at least 4 different programs. Chandra says that "perfection is often rooted in pride. It's our need to perform to please other people." As she learns to be comfortable in her own skin as the person God created her to be, Chandra offers 4 tips to Rewrite Your Story: 1) be honest - life is hard sometimes, 2) give yourself grace - no one is perfect, 3) be who God created you to be - no more comparing yourself to others, and 4) Don't quit! Don't give up while doing well. God has promised a harvest if we don't faint.Scriptures: Galatians 6:1-10; Ecclesiastes 9:11Music: http://podsummit.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/Toms-Drops.mp3I do not own the rights to this music.

A mature believer’s life is marked by a consistent walk—not one that’s marked by fits and start. There should be consistency in your walk. Paul instructs us to "Let your conduct be worthy of the gospel of Christ." (vs. 27, NKJV) In the Greek this phrase refers to giving equal weight. In other words our walk should be consistent with our talk. If we confess Jesus Christ as Lord, our walk should match our talk. There should be consistency in our home life and our spiritual life. There should be consistency in our work life and our spiritual life. There should be consistency in our leisure life and our spiritual life. Scriptures: Galatians 5:25; Proverbs 6:16-19; Colossians 2:6, 7; Ephesians 5:1-2; 1 Corinthians 6:18, 2 Timothy 2:22; I Peter 3:11; Psalm 119:133 The Greek word translated “walk” is peripateō, which Strong’s Concordance defines as “figuratively to live, deport oneself, follow.” Follow me on social media: Facebook Twitter Instagram If you enjoyed this episode head on over to Apple Podcasts and kindly leave a 5-star rating, a review and subscribe!
