Are you a guy? Who likes films? And beer? Then welcome! We are just like you. We are 10-ish guys (sometimes more, sometimes less – it depends). We watch films and then we get together and we talk about them over beers. Join us.
All bang-average things must come to an end. With Lockdown ending, so must Lockdown Film Club. For this, our last ever episode, we got together around a table weighed down with delicious food at Maray, one of Liverpool's finest restaurants, to review The Mauritanian (Prime). The film's heavy subject matter (Guantanamo Bay, detention without charge, torture etc etc) didn't stop us from having a splendid time. Cheers! (raises AF beer bottle)

This week we review Into The Wild (Netflix), directed by Sean Penn and starring Emile Hirsch. Listen to find out what we thought of it. Also listen out for our frank discussion about taking a break from alcohol. Our next film will be Sound Of Metal (Prime).

Also tune in for some riveting chat about non stick cookware. What did you think of the film? Tweet us @lockdownfclubNext week's film is Dark Waters (Prime)
This week we review the quintessential Christmas film 'It's A Wonderful Life'. Reviews were universally high, although Dave doubted its credentials as an Xmas movie. See you in 2021 x
In this week's podcast we review Clint Eastwood's The 15:17 To Paris (Netflix). SPOILER ALERT: The film is a total dud and is officially our least favourite to date. Sorry, Mr Eastwood. You are a legend though. Next week's film is It's A Wonderful Life. Cheers!

Listen to the pod for some insights that the critics might have missed. And also for this poem, read so eloquently by Harry:The pain has stopped, For I am dead. But in a hundred years from now,I'll still be twenty one.My brief, sweet life is over, My eyes no longer see.No summer walks, No Christmas trees,No pretty girls for me.I've got the chop, I've had it.My nightly ops are done.Yet in another hundred yearsI'll still be twenty one.We shall remember them.

Next week's film should be better - Knives Out (Prime). See you then. Cheers!
We enjoyed this one! Everyone except Paul, that is. And Amit. It's a long one but be sure to listen to the end for Matt and Dave's terrible Al Pacino impressions and their accents, which are even worse. Cheers!
