Two high-profile public figures face charges, but different outcomes in court?! In two decades covering the biggest trials in America, Adam Klasfeld reports that he has never seen a successful selective prosecution defense—except for a groundbreaking case currently underway that could shift that trend. As legal scrutiny intensifies over the handling of classified information, law firms and legal professionals are being forced to reflect on the complexities of selective prosecution, evidence management, and the impact of public perception on justice. These questions aren't just for politicians—they're crucial for those who must advise clients through criminal investigations, data protection controversies, and challenges related to discovery and legacy data. This week's episode features acclaimed investigative journalist Adam Klasfeld, founder of All Rise News, joining us to break down the Espionage Act cases involving Donald Trump and John Bolton. In this episode, you will get an eye-opening exploration into how the Espionage Act works (beyond the headlines), what differentiates cases like Trump's and Bolton's, and the strategic hurdles legal teams face when allegations of selective or vindictive prosecution arise. We brought Adam Klasfeld onto the show because his reporting has provided rare, on-the-ground insight into the preliminary legal battles shaping these headlines—and what they mean for attorneys and firms tracking the shifting landscape of high-stakes criminal litigation. On Part 2 of this series, Gregg and Adam discuss: - How Trump and Bolton's cases diverge—even under the same statute - The government's claims about national defense information and alleged security breaches - Judge appointments, prosecutorial independence, and political interference in high-profile cases - The nuts and bolts of handling classified evidence, SCIF construction, and reviewing sensitive material - What "selective prosecution" really looks like, and why it almost never succeeds - The role of e-discovery and evidence preservation in modern criminal litigation - Early legal maneuvers, defense strategies, and what to watch for as these cases develop Key actionable takeaways for law firms: - Prepare your case files and evidence management workflows for deep scrutiny, especially in matters involving national security or public figures - Assess the likelihood and risks of political interference in major prosecutions—document all case activity to protect against allegations of selective prosecution - Understand the strategic importance of pretrial motions, especially in cases involving classified or legacy data - Track emerging case law around vindictive prosecutions—it may shape the defense playbook in future headline cases If your legal team is thinking about how political winds and evidence handling influence outcomes, this episode will help you spot the unseen factors. Subscribe to keep up with the legal stories that matter—because knowing the "why" behind big cases might just make the difference in yours. MDJ Script/ Top Stories for January 7th Publish Date: January 7th Commercial: From the BG Ad Group Studio, Welcome to the Marietta Daily Journal Podcast. Today is Wednesday, January 7th and Happy Birthday to Kenny Loggins I’m Keith Ippolito and here are the stories Cobb is talking about, presented by Times Journal Interstate lane closure advisory for the I-285/I-20 West Interchange Project Infants, toddlers learn, play together in Saturday story time Kennesaw Catholic school sees financial awards, growth in third year of operation All of this and more is coming up on the Marietta Daily Journal Podcast, and if you are looking for community news, we encourage you to listen and subscribe! BREAK: INGLES 3 STORY 1: Interstate lane closure advisory for the I-285/I-20 West Interchange Project Heads up, drivers: weather permitting, GDOT contractors will be closing lanes around the I-285/I-20 West Interchange for a major reconstruction project. Expect delays, detours, and, let’s be honest, some frustration. The project? It’s a big one—widening ramps, adding collector-distributor lanes, and improving traffic flow. But first, the closures: I-285 Northbound: Cascade to Bolton, nightly Jan. 5–9, with single-lane closures starting at 9 p.m. and double-lane closures at 11 p.m. I-285 Southbound: Donald Lee Hollowell to MLK Jr. Drive, same dates and times, with alternating lane closures. I-20 Westbound: Anderson Ave. to Riverside Parkway, nightly closures from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. I-20 Eastbound: Riverside Parkway to I-285, alternating lane closures nightly. Flagging operations and pacing will also hit local roads like Collier Drive and Delmar Lane. Check 511ga.org or the Georgia 511 app for real-time updates. And please—slow down, stay alert, and watch for workers. STORY 2: Infants, toddlers learn, play together in Saturday story time Saturday morning at the Lewis A. Ray Library was pure chaos—the good kind. Ten little ones, from wobbly toddlers to wide-eyed infants, gathered on a colorful mat in the children’s section, ready for story time. Their parents? Mostly trying to keep up. Jess Fulcher, the library’s assistant senior librarian of youth services, led the charge. There were songs (“Wheels on the Bus,” of course), dancing, and two books about big feelings: Mad, Mad Bear and Leo Wakes Up Grumpy. The kids shook maracas, froze mid-dance, and popped bubbles from a machine that sent hundreds floating through the air. “It’s amazing,” Fulcher said, smiling. “I’ve been seeing some of these kids for over a year now. Watching them grow, connect, and learn—it’s the best part of my job.” The library, located at 4500 Oakdale Road, hosts family story time every other Saturday. For details, visit cobbcounty.gov/location/lewis-ray-library. STORY 3: Kennesaw Catholic school sees financial awards, growth in third year of operation The 2025-26 school year has been a big one for Kennesaw’s Chesterton Academy of Atlanta. Just three years in, this small Catholic high school is growing steadily—and racking up some impressive wins along the way. Founded in 2023, the school is part of the global Chesterton Schools Network, which aims to provide affordable, classical Catholic education. Tuition? $9,185 per year. This year, the network snagged the prestigious $1 million Yass Prize for education innovation, while the Kennesaw campus received a $3,000 grant from the Catholic Foundation of North Georgia to upgrade its art room and cafeteria. From just 10 students in its first year to over 30 now, Chesterton Academy is carving out a special place in Georgia’s Catholic education landscape. For more, visit chestertonatl.org. We have opportunities for sponsors to get great engagement on these shows. Call 770.799.6810 for more info. We’ll be right back. Break: INGLES 3 STORY 4: Cobb lawmakers react to U.S. strike on Venezuela Cobb County lawmakers are weighing in on the U.S. military’s strike in Venezuela, which ended with the capture of President Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores. The operation, ordered by President Trump, has sparked a firestorm of reactions—both praise and sharp criticism. U.S. Rep. Barry Loudermilk, R-Cassville, called the move “decisive and courageous,” hailing it as the end of a “tyrannical regime” and a chance for a brighter future for Venezuela. But not everyone’s cheering. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Rome, slammed the strike, questioning its consistency with Trump’s stance on Ukraine and accusing the administration of prioritizing foreign conflicts over domestic issues. “Why is it okay when we do it?” she asked on X. Rep. Lucy McBath, D-Marietta, echoed concerns, demanding clarity on the strike’s legality and its potential to destabilize Venezuela further. Sen. Raphael Warnock, D-Georgia, went even further, calling it a “broken promise” from a president more focused on foreign oil than Americans’ struggles. Locally, the Cobb Democratic Party condemned the strike as “unlawful,” while Cobb GOP President Mary Clarice Hathaway defended Trump’s decision, saying, “Sometimes hard decisions are necessary.” STORY 5: Cobb Police arrest suspect in New Year’s Day homicide A New Year’s Day stabbing at the Millwood Apartment Complex in Marietta left one man dead and another behind bars. Cobb County Police say they responded to a call around 8:30 a.m. on Jan. 1 at 300 Pat Mell Road, near Austell Road. When officers arrived, they found 47-year-old Jerry Sampson Jr. with a stab wound. He was rushed to the hospital but didn’t make it. The suspect, 50-year-old Zuberi A. Douglas, was arrested the next day at the same apartment complex where the incident happened. He’s now facing charges, including felony murder. The investigation is ongoing. Got info? Call 770-499-3945. Break: STORY 6: Mac’s Chophouse scores 64 on health inspection, owners say violations are being corrected Mac’s Chophouse, a Marietta Square favorite, hit a rough patch, scoring a 64 on its health inspection—an unsatisfactory “U” grade. Ouch. Co-owners Randy McCray and Chef Mike Fuller didn’t shy away from the news. “This score doesn’t reflect who we are,” they said, calling most violations “administrative” rather than food safety issues. The inspection cited nine problems, from improper handwashing to black buildup in ice machines. A half-eaten burger on a prep table? Not a great look. McCray admitted, “We fell behind during a busy season.” They’ve since cleaned house—literally—and are prepping for a re-inspection by Jan. 9. STORY 7: Wheeler falls in title game of Hoophall West Darius Wabbington was unstoppable. He dropped 23 points, grabbed nine boards, and led Sunnyslope to a nail-biting 61-59 win over Wheeler in the Hoophall West Nike Tournament of Champions final on Saturday. Wheeler (11-3), ranked No. 5 by MaxPreps, had a solid run—beating Salesian (CA) and No. 6 Millennium (AZ)—but three games in three days and 1,800 miles of travel caught up with them. Still, they fought. Down 47-45 heading into the fourth, they clawed back to lead 53-51. But Sunnyslope? Ice cold at the line. They hit all 15 free throws, including six clutch ones from Colorado signee Rider Portela, who finished with 14 points. The game was chaos—nine ties, 16 lead changes, and no lead bigger than five. Wheeler’s Amare James (16 points) and Colben Landrew (20 points, six assists) kept it close, but Wabbington’s second-half threes and Sunnyslope’s composure sealed it. Tough loss, but what a game. We’ll have closing comments after this. Break: INGLES 3 Signoff- Thanks again for hanging out with us on today’s Marietta Daily Journal Podcast. My guest today on the Online for Authors podcast is Joseph Bolton, author of the book Old Grandmother's Tree. Joseph Bolton was born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island during the twilight of the golden age of French-Canadian culture in New England. Growing up emersed in his mother's French-Canadian family, Joseph enjoyed hearing the stories told by his grandparents and great aunts of a mysterious and magical place called Québec, otherwise known as “the place we came from.” After high school, Joseph's adventurous nature led him to enlist in the U.S. Army and he served in the Army's airborne forces as a paratrooper jumping out of perfectly good airplanes, much to the worry of his mother. Although he originally intended to stay in the Army for two years, he was appointed to the United States Military Academy at West Point, and after graduating in 1989, he decided to make the Army a career. After West Point, Joseph graduated from the Army's Ranger Training School, a grueling and physically demanding combat leadership course. Over the next 18 years, Joseph served in the army in various positions of growing responsibilities culminating with a combat tour in Afghanistan as one of two Space Operations Officers with the US Army's 10th Mountain Division. Since he retired from the Army, Joseph has worked in various project manager roles as a civilian contractor for the U.S. Air Force. While writing Old Grandmother's Tree, Joseph took a sabbatical from the U.S. Air Force and taught mathematics to young students for a semester at Holy Family Academy in Gardner Massachusetts. He considers it the most fulfilling job he has ever had and hopes to return to teaching full-time in the near future. Bolton is of French-Canadian, Native American, Spanish, English, and Irish descent, and is profoundly inspired by the stories of his heritage. He lives with his wife in Massachusetts, and, in his free time, enjoys hiking and skiing through Québec and New England landscapes. His favorite places to go for outdoor adventure are the Berkshire Mountains of Massachusetts and Mont-Orford in Québec. When he is not writing, hiking, or skiing, Joseph enjoys reading about science, history, philosophy, mathematics, and worldwide mythologies. Old Grandmother's Tree is his first book. In my book review, I stated Old Grandmother's Tree is a series of historical fiction short stories written by Joseph Bolton. These stories are based on family stories and mixed with Canadian and French folktales - and the illustrations are incredible! I loved learning about Joseph's family and the stories he heard as a young child about a many times great grandmother who belonged to a native tribe and her marriage to a French soldier - and how this story reaches through the years to the present day. Along the way, we meet many family members, trickster animals, and Quebec as it was in the 17th century and is today. The trickster animals were favorites, especially since I've always loved the African and Native American fairy tales with such tricksters. I enjoy hearing how different cultures explain what can be unexplainable. I understand that there will be more - and I can't wait to get my hands on the second volume! Clinical psychologist, educational leader, and author of Untethered: Creating Connected Families, Schools and Communities to Raise a Resilient Generation, Dr. Doug Bolton, joins me this week to unpack the rising levels of anxiety, burnout, and overwhelm we're seeing in kids today. Together we explore: - How changes in education starting in the 90s have intensified academic pressure for kids of all ages. - Why school avoidance, perfectionism, and burnout are rising, even among high-achieving students. - The neuroscience behind why rigor, overscheduling, and constant output make it harder for kids to access curiosity, regulation, and real learning. - How expectations have shifted, and why many kids simply aren't developmentally ready for what schools now demand. - Realistic, achievable ways to build rest, connection, and resilience into daily family life. - Small shifts parents can make at home to buffer their child's stress, protect their mental health, and restore balance. If your child is melting down after school, anxious about grades, overwhelmed by homework, or feeling weighed down by pressure to perform, this episode will help you understand what's really going on beneath the surface and give you practical tools to support their wellbeing. The Ghosts of Harrenhal: A Song of Ice and Fire Podcast (ASOIAF)
Send us a textTheon continues to wander Winterfell. A fact that is noted when men start being found murdered. His worthlessness proves to be a sufficiently strong alibi. He is once again propositioned by Abel's women. Simon and Mackelly consult their IP lawyers.Chapter Review:Theon Greyjoy continues to haunt Winterfell, and Winterfell returns the favor. The blizzard rages on, making the living conditions increasingly intolerable. Ropes are strung between the buildings to prevent people from getting lost. Men start turning up dead. The first couple are explained away as accidents, but the third is clearly murder. Furthermore, the newly constructed stable collapses. The great hall, already redolent of men and dogs, is now used to house the displaced horses. Another of Abel's women tries to befriend Theon, but he still senses a Ramsay trap and avoids her. He's dragged before Lord Roose Bolton, as he's one of the few people who wanders the whole castle, and therefore has the opportunity (and let's be honest, the motive) to sabotage the Bolton cause. His demeanor and physical decrepitude end any suspicion. A warhorn appears to herald Stannis' arrival and cause panic within the Walls. Theon, knowing that for him Stannis does not represent salvation, goes to pray in the godswood. There he is again haunted by his crimes, hearing his name and seeing Bran's face in the heart tree. Abel's women again accost him. They will help ensure that his prayers are answered, but only once he has spoken to Abel.Characters/Places/Names/Events:Reek - Broken shell of Theon Greyjoy.Ramsay Bolton - Newly legitimized son of Roose Bolton. New Lord of Winterfell.Roose Bolton - Lord of the Dreadfort and Warden of the North.Arya Stark - Youngest daughter of Ned and Catelyn Stark. Welcome to Glenn Robison's Rapidly Rotating Records, bringing you vintage music to which you can't not tap your toes, from rapidly rotating 78 RPM records of the 1920s and '30s. Once again, for about the 15th time, Rita and I were in Rancho Cordova, California the week-end before Thanksgiving for the 39th Annual West Coast Ragtime Festival, put on thanks to the tireless efforts of many volunteers from the West Coast Ragtime Society. We had a fabulous time as always, seeing old friends, musicians and non, making new friends, listening to wonderful music performed by some of the finest musicians in the world, and enjoying plenty of fine food and drink. There was almost 120 hours of music over three days, and this show represents less that 1% of that music. It’s primarily 78 RPM records of tunes played at the festival along with several vintage piano rolls performed by the composers. There's lots of great music and interesting information so set aside an hour with your favorite beverage and prepare to be transported back to a different–and we think better–musical era. In this week's episode of Sober Stories from Everyday People I am chatting to Tom from Bolton, Leeds. Tom grew up in Leeds and began drinking young, navigating restlessness, big emotions, and a sense of never quite fitting in. Drinking quickly became a way to cope, to belong, and to quiet an inner discomfort he couldn't yet explain. As the years went on, alcohol became tightly woven into masculinity, friendships, and work culture, reinforcing the belief that drinking was simply “what men do.”As his drinking escalated through his late teens and twenties, Tom describes a growing emotional numbness and disconnection from himself. By his early thirties, despite outward signs of a settled life, he found himself feeling stuck, depressed, and without purpose.Since stopping drinking, Tom speaks openly about the internal shifts he's experienced; learning to sit with emotions, rebuilding motivation, and reconnecting with a sense of self that had long been buried.Towards the end of the episode, Tom shares an important realisation: that many of the struggles he had spent years trying to numb with alcohol are now making sense through the lens of ADHD. Understanding this has brought him compassion, clarity, and a deeper understanding of why sobriety was never just about alcohol, it was about finally learning how his mind works.Helpful links: Get help from me directly by visiting www.sassysobermum.com Visit THRIVE Sober Coaching for sobriety guidance & resources here www.thrivesobercoaching.com Get access to my new online sobriety self-paced course here https://checkout.teachable.com/secure/1930842/checkout/order_jmr0kg9w(use coupon code HALFPRICE) Join my super friendly and safe online women's sober community here: https://thrive-af-community.circle.so/checkout/thrive-subscription Email sassysobermum at thrive@sassysobermum.com Alcohol Change UKWebsite: https://www.alcoholchange.org.ukHelpline: 0800 917 8282 (Available Monday to Friday 9 AM - 8 PM)Mind (Mental Health Support)Website: https://www.mind.org.ukHelpline: 0300 123 3393NHS Alcohol Support ServicesWebsite: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/alcohol-misuse
Ambassador John Bolton joins Hugh Dougherty to chart the growing dangers of Trump's foreign policy, driven by impulse rather than strategy. Bolton, Trump's former national security adviser, describes a president who ignores formal briefings, takes cues from Mar-a-Lago guests, and makes decisions by “neuron flash,” leaving Venezuela, Europe, and Ukraine trapped in contradiction and drift. As Trump chases a Nobel Prize and treats strongmen like personal allies, Bolton presses a defining question: How long can America's security withstand a leader who refuses to plan? Hosted on Acast. In the episode I welcome one of my favorite Public Works Nerds, Brian Simmons from Bolton & Menk. Brian and I look back at our recent presentation on Artificial Intelligence in Public Works - titled AI in the Sky - at the 2025 APWA PWX in Chicago. We also critique and marvel at an AI generated podcast that was created using just our slide deck from that presentation. In between this and the jokes, we also talk about AI applications in Public Works that will be disruptive in a good way for Public Works professionals. Below is the AI Generated Episode Description, which I must say I'm a bit disappointed with this time. Thanks for listening!--------------------------------------AI GENERATED (Buzzsprout) DESCRIPTIONWhat if your city could turn weeks of fieldwork into decisions in a matter of days? We sat down together at a buzzing conference hall to unpack how AI and uncrewed aerial systems are shifting public works from manual, inconsistent surveys to fast, reliable insights you can act on. Our lens is practical: remove the dull, dirty, dangerous, and repetitive tasks so crews can spend more time fixing the real problems and less time hunting for them.We start with pavement. Using vehicle-mounted imaging and computer vision, tools like Violytics generate network-wide PCI ratings with surprising speed—plus bonus detections like faded signs and sunken structures. That means fresher data for budget talks, clearer maps for crews, and consistent baselines you can trust. We then jump underground, where hours of CCTV “dirty videos” turn into prioritized worklists with platforms like SewerAI. Let the model find cracks, offsets, and roots; let engineers review, rank, and dispatch. The human stays in charge, and the algorithm never gets tired. From there, we head to the sky. Drones paired with edge AI are quietly transforming inspections for cell towers, water towers, utilities, and urban forests—spotting defects and tracking disease without sending staff into harm's way. We talk policy and privacy too: how to balance FOIA, data governance, and model provenance so IT can say yes with confidence. And we lean into what's next: agentic AI that writes first drafts, cleans up slide decks, suggests dashboards, and eventually orchestrates systems—think stormwater storage decisions guided by sensors, weather forecasts, and smart controls. If you care about smoother roads, smarter budgets, safer inspections, and stronger asset management, this conversation is your field guide. Subscribe for more Public Works Nerds deep dives, share with a teammate who needs a spark, and leave a review with the first AI workflow you want to try.
Jon Herold and Burning Bright break down a marathon night of geopolitical signaling and narrative chaos, starting with Trump's new “corollary” to the Monroe Doctrine and what it reveals about American sovereignty, foreign interference, and the shifting definition of the modern empire. Their conversation quickly turns to Paul Sperry's explosive report alleging that key Trump-era officials, Barr, Durham, Pompeo, Bolton, and Haspel, may have buried intelligence that could have blown up Russiagate, raising new questions about Durham's choices and whether the ICA review was intentionally suppressed. Jon and BB debate the credibility of anonymous sourcing, the necessity of bicameral thinking, and the dangers of narratives designed to demoralize the MAGA base. They move through Venezuela strikes, war-crime framing, the SignalGate leak, and competing media “takedowns,” illustrating how information warfare now operates across every institution. With humor, flu-ridden rambling, and sharp analysis, the duo show how sovereignty, declassification, foreign policy, and controlled opposition threads all collide at once, and why discernment is more important than ever.
12/4/25 - Allan Parker, President of The Justice Foundation and former legal counsel for Norma McCorvey ("Roe") and Sandra Cano ("Doe"), returns to unpack the argument that abortion is fundamentally unconstitutional. Parker lays out the original meaning of the Constitution, explains how Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton were built on legal and historical distortions, and shows why the Supreme Court's own later rulings expose the weaknesses of those decisions. He also discusses the roles of due process, equal protection, and the rights of the unborn in building a clear legal case for life, while sharing The Justice Foundation's ongoing work to defend the most vulnerable.
In Maryland federal district court, Judge Paula Xinis held a final, four-hour hearing in the Abrego Garcia deportation case, and things went poorly for Trump's Department of Justice. Jon Herold spends this episode breaking down Paul Sperry's new investigative report suggesting that several of Trump's own appointees, including Barr, Durham, Pompeo, Bolton, and Haspel, may have helped shield or bury evidence that undermined the Obama-era intelligence assessment at the heart of Russiagate. Jon walks through the declassified documents, whistleblower claims, and House Intel findings that indicate the ICA relied on weak, misleading, or fabricated intelligence, and he highlights Derek Harvey's firsthand account of being blocked by CIA leadership during the review process. He questions Durham's decision to suppress a devastating 44-page report before the 2020 election, only for that material to go unused in Durham's final findings, and explores what this means for long-held assumptions about “white hats” inside the system. Jon also analyzes Trump's new Monroe Doctrine anniversary proclamation, digs into chat discussion, and reflects on how confirmation bias, hopium, and black-pilling affect the truth community's ability to navigate the ongoing information war.

President Donald Trump and his administration have been lambasted by the corporate media, members of Congress and left-wing pundits over the recent indictments of three notable individuals: John Bolton, James Comey and now Letitia James. These critics argue that the president is going on a so-called “revenge tour,” using the law “in a weaponized fashion.” All these people are willfully overlooking one critical factor: magnitude. President Donald Trump was indicted 91 times in four different jurisdictions in what can only be described as a “coordinated” effort to bar him from public office in the lead-up to the 2024 election, argues Victor Davis Hanson on today's edition of “Victor Davis Hanson: In His Own Words.” “So, in conclusion, it's going to be much more difficult for the Trump Department of Justice, under Attorney General Pam Bondi, to find a Clapper or a Brennan or a Bolton guilty in a blue jurisdiction, where you're going to have juries that are, for the most part, decidedly anti-Trump. Much more difficult. So, they're gonna have to prove beyond a reasonable doubt to a far greater degree than was true of Donald Trump. Donald Trump came in as a conservative, and in an era of rampant Trump hatred and Trump Derangement Syndrome, and he had to face predominantly left-wing grand juries, left-wing juries and left-wing judges. “So, if Donald Trump is accused of waging lawfare, there's going to be a natural check on that. And that check is that he is going into hostile territory. He—I'm personifying it—but his attorney general will be going into areas that are not sympathetic to the prosecution but will be sympathetic to the opponents of Donald Trump.”
Athens, Sparta, Thebes, and their neighbors fought a seemingly endless series of civil wars worthy of Westeros. But just like the War of Five Kings, Greece should have been more concerned with uniting against a greater threat massing to the North - one capable of conquering or enslaving them all. This is a grand story of deeds as infamous as the Red Wedding, as heroically selfless as Dunk or Brienne, and as disturbing as the worst Targaryen incest or Bolton torture.HoW Audience Survey - bit.ly/howsurveyBonus Eps & More - patreon.com/historyofwesterosShirts & Stickers - historyofwesteros.threadless.comwww.historyofwesteros.comIntro/Maps - klaradox.deFacebook Group - bit.ly/howfbDiscord - bit.ly/howdiscordNina - goodqueenaly.tumblr.com/

Former National Security Advisor John Bolton has been indicted on 18 felony counts for allegedly mishandling and transmitting classified information, some of which was reportedly accessed by hackers linked to Iran. The investigation, which began under the Biden administration, followed standard Justice Department procedures and was not politically directed — despite what Bolton and his defenders claim. Prosecutors allege Bolton shared sensitive information with his wife and daughter over non-governmental messaging apps while drafting a memoir, and later failed to disclose classified material on a hacked personal account. Jimmy and Americans' Comedian Kurt Metzger note that the case has drawn attention for its contrast with the Trump and Biden classified document controversies, with many observers highlighting Bolton's past calls for harsh punishment against others accused of similar offenses. Plus a segment on CNN host Christiane Amanpour being forced to apologize for telling the truth about the comparative treatment of Israeli and Palestinian captives. Also featuring Mike MacRae and Stef Zamorano. And a phone call from JD Vance!
Former National Security Advisor John Bolton has been indicted on 18 counts tied to classified documents — a case that underscores how far the Trump administration's Justice Department is willing to go to target former insiders. Chris Cuomo breaks down what's behind the indictment, why the evidence may not hold up, and what it reveals about how “lawfare” has become the weapon of choice in American politics. From selective prosecutions to the politics of revenge, Chris explains how the Bolton case blurs the line between accountability and retribution — and why that distinction matters for every future administration. He also looks at how the Kalshi betting markets are reacting to the indictment, what those odds suggest about who might be next, and why American justice is increasingly being treated like a political wager.
