Much to talk through this week as our girl Carly has tested positive for COVID-19. This week the girls keep it low-key and Brooke asks Carly everything about her symptoms, what prompted her to seek testing, what the testing was like, and insight on the recovery process. Crazy to think the day this was recorded was the day Carly and Brooke were supposed to be running their first marathon. The girls reflect on how this pandemic has had an impact on their health and fitness and how they try to remain grateful and as healthy as they can. Again-hope all of you are staying safe and healthy during this time.
Back to your regularly scheduled programming this week because THE GIRLS HAVE A GUEST! Don’t worry - no social distancing rules were broken in the making of this ep. Carly and Brooke are talking to their good friend Nick Price this week because he runs too!! Nick was a D1 collegiate runner and has recently gotten back into it as a hobby after some much needed time off. The girls get his insight on why he started running, what it was like being a college athlete, burning out, and what brought him back to the streets! Whether you’re totally new to running or are mourning the cancellation of your race, this is a great listen because Nick has a ton of knowledge and insight plus he’s funny and great to talk to! Enjoy :-).Follow us on Instagram @lovemyselfpodcast and Twitter @lovemyselfpodEmail us lovemyselfpodcast@gmail.com. ..Credit:"Severe Tire Damage" Kevin MacLeod Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 License
Back at it again, Carly and Brooke return with an episode about almost nothing. Before recording this week they wondered, “should we bother this week with pretty much nothing to talk about?!” But with the thought of being a distraction for even ONE person right now, they press on. So they’re back discussing the best popcorn brands, Netflix comedy special recommendations, conspiracy theories, AND a bit of health and fitness. It’s been hard out there for everyone right now and they want you to know that it’s important that to just keep going even if it’s hard to be the best version of ourselves right now!!.Follow us on Instagram @lovemyselfpodcast and Twitter @lovemyselfpodEmail us lovemyselfpodcast@gmail.com. ..Credit:"Severe Tire Damage" Kevin MacLeod Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 License
The no topic topic!! Get ready bc the girls have no outline, no notes, and no idea what's going on!! Just like you!! Funny story the girlies actually recorded this episode earlier and NAILED IT but there was a faint ringing that was completely unbearable and impossible to edit out! Thus this is the terrible step-sibling to the original ep.. Yet, they still come to you w great content no matter how *second rate*. But HEY the girls are going to do whatever it takes to make your quarantine better. Get ready for philosophical musings, funny stories, and PROVEN suggestions for having FUN virtually! Hope you guys enjoy please stay safe out there :).Follow us on Instagram @lovemyselfpodcast and Twitter @lovemyselfpodEmail us lovemyselfpodcast@gmail.com. ..Credit:"Severe Tire Damage" Kevin MacLeod Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 License

In this ep, the girls share what began to hold them back from diving into this podcast head on. Maybe it wasn't fully obvious but while we posted our first few eps in November, they were really recorded in July. Things had fallen apart for Carly and Brooke individually. Hear more in the ep about their own battles with anxiety and depression. While that becomes the main focus of the episode, we did share some happier moments from Jonas Brothers tickets to vacations. The girls also share some advice on how to stay fit on vacation and ideas for how to workout/diet while traveling!Follow us @lovemyselfpodcast on InstagramEmail us your stories and inspirations at lovemyselfpodcast@gmail.com..."Severe Tire Damage" Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com)Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 Licensehttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/
Carly and Brooke give a bunch of tips of what to do when you’re first starting out out in the gym or the health kitchen. Episodes going forward will dive deeper into fitness topics, but this ep is a great place to start if you’re a total newbie. The girls talk through identifying goals, how to design a workout plan tailored to those goals, where to find cool workouts, and generally how and what to eat! You’ll also hear some words of encouragement because we all know how hard it can be to build up the confidence to get to the free weight side of the gym with all the WORKOUT BROS!! If you’re a workout virgin, this is a great place to start :) Follow us @lovemyselfpodcast on InstagramEmail us your stories and inspirations at lovemyselfpodcast@gmail.comfitness instas mentioned in this ep: @linnlowes @collegecleaneating @marillewellyn @suzie_kb "Severe Tire Damage" Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com)Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 Licensehttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/
