In this heartfelt episode, we sit down with our very own Bob as he opens up about his personal journey with prostate cancer. With honesty, courage and hope, he tells us about the first signs, the initial diagnosis, and the emotional and physical challenges of treatment and recovery. Bob shares the highs and lows, the lessons that came with uncertainty, and how this experience reshaped his outlook on wellness and purpose. This is more than a story of illness; it's one of resilience, awareness, and inspiration. Bob's journey is a powerful reminder that vulnerability can lead to strength, and that every story shared can help someone else heal. Whether you're navigating your own health challenges, supporting someone who is, or simply want to better understand men's health, we hope this conversation offers understanding, encouragement, and a reminder that you're not alone. Yup... I tried the “white powder” every pro whispers about—and almost ruined a race.I road-tested baking soda for running: what it is, how it buffers lactate, and where it actually helps. I break down the science in plain English, show my four real-world tests (including a DIY version of the pricey pro formula), and map out who should even consider it. You'll see the trade-offs—timing, dose, gut risk—and when a tiny 1–3% bump is worth the stress. If you're chasing short, hard efforts, there's a smart way to run the experiment. If you're not, there's a better place to put your energy.Key TakeawaysBaking soda can help in short, hard efforts (about 30 seconds to 12 minutes).Dose and timing matter; gut issues are common and can ruin race day.Test a system in training; for most runners, consistent training beats supplements.Timestamps[00:00:38] How Baking Soda Works for Runners [00:02:02] Do This To Help Another Runner [00:02:32] The Science Behind Baking Soda Buffering In Running [00:04:46] Experiment 1: This Actually Works [00:06:39] Use This To Make Your Own Baking Soda and Run Faster [00:07:05] Experiment 2: My Gut Rebels [00:08:54] Experiment 3: Cracking The Maurten Baking Soda Code [00:10:19] Experiment 4: The Truth [00:11:47] Do You Really Need Baking Soda To Run Faster? In this episode of Confident at Work, Anna Manning explores a powerful mindset tool for building genuine confidence - deciding ahead of time. Confidence at work isn't built in the easy moments; it's built in how you handle the hard ones - after a mistake, failure, or embarrassing moment. Anna explains why waiting until you're in those situations to decide how to respond often leads to harsh self-criticism, and how choosing your response beforehand can completely change how you lead yourself and strengthen your confidence for the longterm. You'll learn how to: Strengthen your self-leadership and emotional resilience at work Replace self-doubt and self-criticism with support and accountability Create your own “internal boss” Understand why kindness doesn't make you complacent, it makes you capable Confidence isn't about perfection - it's about how you treat yourself when things don't go perfectly. David R. Hawkins's Power vs. Force is one of those books that makes you pause, tilt your head, and think: Did I just stumble across a secret manual for decoding reality? Or is this spiritual snake oil with footnotes?Hawkins claims to have discovered a way to objectively distinguish truth from falsehood using nothing more than the body's response to statements. The tool is Applied Kinesiology, a technique where a subject's muscle strength is tested while holding a thought, statement, or stimulus in mind. If the statement is true, the muscle “goes strong.” If it is false, the muscle “goes weak.”I conceived of an N of 1 experiment to test the bold claim that Applied Kinesiology makes: Since I have my whole genome sequenced, I can muscle test specific statements about my DNA and then check them against the raw report. If my body can consistently verify the truth or falsity of genetic facts, I can verify by checking my own genes, which would be a powerful confirmation of Hawkins's central claim. The results were surprising...1:25 Applied Kinesiology "Truth-Testing"4:01 The Essential Message5:53 The Testing Technique9:27 The Map of Consciousness15:23 Philosophical takeaways20:38 Hawkins's Biases24:12 Dense Language, Big Ideas27:07 Music vs Growth Mindset30:09 My Truth-Testing Experiments39:13 Skepticism is Well-WarrantedRead

SummaryIn this episode we interview Scott McLeod. Scott is the Chief Brand Officer of Resident, a direct-to-consumer company that designs and sells home furnishings such as mattresses and bedding. They were acquired by Ashley in 2024 for $1 billion.Scott and I chat about his background in design thinking and how it has fueled his passion for experimentation, whether it's building scrappy MVPs with minimal investment or creating environments where failure is not just accepted, but expected as part of innovation. He shares how he's helped scale teams while preserving that test-and-learn mindset, why setting clear success criteria is crucial and how to gracefully let go of ideas that don't deliver. We also dive into the unique challenges of experimenting with physical products versus digital ones, the role of customer feedback in shaping subjective experiences like comfort, and his optimism for how AI and data-driven decision-making will transform the future of product experimentation.I thoroughly enjoyed reconnecting with Scott since our days back at Neo together, and I'm confident you'll learn a lot from our conversation in this episode. In this episode of Monday Night Therapy, Minnie and Fred discuss Nebraska's heartbreaking 21–17 loss to USC, focusing on Dylan Raiola's fibula fracture and its ripple effect. They condemn the “hip-drop tackle” that caused the injury and debate its legality, agreeing that the Huskers' offense faltered after Raiola went down. Minnie praises his toughness and leadership—he even tried to return before realizing the break's severity—and notes he'll have surgery but should recover in 10–12 weeks. The hosts recount the emotional “Blackout” atmosphere in Memorial Stadium, where fans unified behind the team despite the eventual loss. Fred and Minnie note how the injury disrupted Nebraska's rhythm and allowed USC to capitalize. They also discuss backup quarterback TJ Lateef, acknowledging his difficult position with limited reps but hoping his first full week of preparation will pay off. Beyond the game, they reflect on Nebraska's offensive line struggles, Matt Rhule's leadership and public persona, and fan expectations for the rest of the season. Minnie defends Rhule's long-term rebuilding approach and O-line coach Donovan Raiola, while Fred urges visible progress. The show closes with optimism for Lateef's debut against UCLA, praise for Emmett Johnson's breakout season, and faith that Nebraska's future remains “huge.”

Clinton Haby has spent 16 years building a legacy filmmaking business that charges $8K-$24K per project. Starting with a desire to capture his grandfather's stories, he's developed a systematic approach to intimate storytelling that can't be replicated by technology. In this emotional episode recorded shortly after his grandfather's passing, Clinton shares his three-tier pricing model and announces Legacy Film School to teach others the art of premium storytelling. Key Takeaways Clinton's three packages range from $8K (captured as-told) to $24K (full cinematic treatment with B-roll and music) He insists on being alone with storytellers during interviews to create the most authentic connection His entry-level package generates roughly $250/hour, proving that specialized storytelling can command premium rates Legacy filmmaking is recession-proof and AI-resistant because it's built on authentic human connection About Clinton Haby Clinton Haby is a legacy filmmaking pioneer and the founder of StoryKeeping.
