Welcome to the Fore Golfers Network/Michigan Golf Live Podcast Ep 469 - Dean Snell on Snell Golf, Tariffs & Tour-Tested Performance. We sit down with Dean Snell, Founder and CEO of Snell Golf - the Official Ball of MGL - to dive deep into the world of golf ball innovation, pricing strategy, and manufacturing challenges in today's global trade climate. Dean brings decades of experience from the golf ball industry and shares his unique insights on how Snell Golf delivers premium-quality balls without the premium price tag. From bypassing expensive TV ads to skipping pro endorsement deals, Snell Golf focuses on what matters most: performance and value for everyday golfers. We discuss the impact of global tariffs, the recent closure of a major manufacturing facility, and how Dean and his team are navigating supply chain hurdles to maintain quality and inventory through Q2 2023. Dean also explains how golfers should choose balls based on their 7-iron distance—not just swing speed—and how Snell's Tour Test Pack is helping players find their perfect fit. Dean and Bill also talk pricing, with the MTB Prime 4.0 and MTB Prime X 3.0 offering performance rivaling tour-level balls, all while saving you money. “The kids are watching. The kids see everything. If you can act and model what type of person you want them to be, that's going to be way better than teaching them about a person you want them to be. If you can be the one who's vulnerable first, if you can show other emotions, if you can meet them half way emotionally, that may be an opportunity for them to let their guard down, for them to see connection, and then be able to attend to the work that you want them to do.”Easier said than done? This week on Down the Garden Path podcast, Joanne Shaw speaks with Bri Petersen of Urban Gardening Canada about her new course, Adapt & Thrive: Gardening in a Changing Climate. About Urban Gardening Canada The vision of Urban Gardening Canada (UGC) is to provide accessible gardening advice to all Canadians, regardless of location, housing type or budget. Food security and sustainability are two of the main pillars of UGC. Bri believes that gardening should be accessible to all. Here are some of the topics covered in this episode: Bri left her job in finance to chase her dreams as a gardener. Has been gardening for nine years, with her garden expanding every year as she falls deeper into her gardening obsession. A Canadian gardener and course creator, she owns a blog and a YouTube channel that teach others how to grow vegetables in an urban setting during the cold Canadian season. Started Urban Gardening Canada as a climate activist, aiming to raise awareness about climate change through gardening. Created a course on gardening in the face of climate change, which she initially presented to horticultural societies. Bri emphasizes the significance of healthy soil in storing carbon and maintaining plant health, suggesting practices like cutting plants at the base instead of pulling them up to preserve soil bacteria in the soil. Adapt & Thrive: Gardening in a Changing Climate is a self-paced course on gardening, which includes multimedia content, checklists, and workbooks. A good fit for late beginners to intermediate gardeners, who would benefit from the comprehensive information provided in the course. Includes the entire gardening cycle, from seed starting to harvesting, and offers lifetime access. Covers various topics, including the importance of removing peat from gardens due to its carbon impact. Designed to be actionable, with 100 specific tasks for implementation. Tested globally, receiving positive feedback from participants in Canada, the Netherlands, and New Zealand. Joanne encourages listeners to consider Bri's course for step-by-step guidance from an experienced gardener. Bri emphasized the importance of considering climate change in gardening practices and highlighted the need to avoid synthetic fertilizers and peat moss in soil. Joanne encouraged listeners to check the ingredients of bagged soil and avoid certain companies that prioritize fertilizers over soil health. Bri discusses her personal gardening challenges with rabbits, particularly how they eat her plants despite thorns and can reach higher areas due to snow accumulation. New data on investor sentiment shows optimism in the multifamily market, but given the lag between fast-moving economic developments and the Jan.-Feb. time period when the data was gathered, some of this investor enthusiasm may be blunted in light of the recent volatility. That being said, strong fundamentals and improving long-term rent growth trends have been consistent in the multifamily market, and as short-term revenue difficulties intersect with looming loan maturities, investors will be looking for opportunities to invest in distressed assets in 2025.Sources discussed in this episode:RealPage: “Modest Momentum Builds in February Rent Growth, Occupancy Readings” - https://www.realpage.com/analytics/february-2025-data-update/Yardi Matrix: Feb. 2025 National Multifamily Report: “Multifamily Market Set to be Tested” - https://www.yardimatrix.com/publications/download/file/6945-MatrixMultifamilyNationalReport-February2025 Redfin: “U.S. Asking Rents Rose 0.4% in February—A Small Increase, But the First in 6 Months” - https://www.redfin.com/news/rental-tracker-february-2025/ Bisnow: “'Pure Chaos': Inside The CRE Fallout From DOGE's Slash And Burn Campaign” - https://www.bisnow.com/national/news/office/doge-gsa-lease-termination-cancellation-impact-brokers-owners-128504 Urban Institute: "The Implications of Shrinking the Federal Workforce by DOGE's Recommended 75 Percent" - https://www.urban.org/urban-wire/implications-shrinking-federal-workforce-doges-recommended-75-percentMarcus & Millichap: “High-Speed Cycles Require Long-Term Thinking” - https://www.marcusmillichap.com/research/videos/high-speed-cycles-require-long-term-thinking CRE Daily, John Burns Research and Consulting: “Fear and Greed Survey, Q1 2025, ” - https://cdn.credaily.com/uploads/2025/03/Burns-CRE-Daily_Fear-and-Greed-Index-Chartbook_2025-03-with-ad.pdf Berkadia: “Investor Confidence in Multifamily Sector Remains Strong for 2025, Despite Economic Challenges” - https://berkadia.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/2025-Multifamily-Investor-Sentiment-Survey.pdf Download Gray Capital's latest report: https://www.graycapitalllc.com/window/Sign up for our free multifamily newsletter here: https://www.graycapitalllc.com/newsletter DISCLAIMERS: This video does not constitute professional financial advice and is for educational/entertainment purposes only. The Faith of Christians, Churches, and Nations Can Be Tested and Doubts Arise in Today's World; However, God Is Faithful and Will Not Forsake You MESSAGE SUMMARY: God will never leave you or forsake you. Even when difficulties arise and you are tempted to walk away from your faith, God will not leave you. When you are tempted to doubt God, remember that God is faithful. When the Apostles questioned Jesus about faith and prayer, Jesus told the Apostles, in Mathew 21:21-22, that your faith is powerful and that God will respond to your faith: “And Jesus answered them, ‘Truly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,' it will happen. And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.'”. Hold, unswervingly, to the hope and faith you profess because God, who promised us, is faithful. While you are endeavoring to hold onto your faith in God and Jesus' Gospel, you need to always remember the faithfulness of God, even in those times in which you may be doubting or questioning your faith. Do not give up your faith! TODAY'S PRAYER: Lord, fill me with the simple trust that even out of the most awful evil around me, you are able to bring great good — for me, for others, and for your great glory. In Jesus' name, amen. Scazzero, Peter. Emotionally Healthy Spirituality Day by Day (p. 91). Zondervan. Kindle Edition. TODAY'S AFFIRMATION: Today, I affirm that because I am in Jesus Christ, I will seek God's perspective on my situation. For I know that in all things God works together for good to those of us who love Him and are called according to His purpose.
