In this episode, the tables are turned as K9 Handler Brian Delos Santos interviews Jeff on all things tracking and trailing. Brian is a long-time handler hailing from Brevard Florida and an eternal student of the tracking game. He had reached out to Jeff, requesting to flip the script and drive the conversation around questions he and fellow handlers have had within the community.
Howard has had a passion for working dogs from a young age, leading ultimately to an over 25-year career supporting the Shelby NC Police Department as their civilian K9 training manager. In that time, he oversaw the development, procurement, and expansion of their K9 capabilities. His career success is now being translated into K9 training and support through his company White Beard K9, Inc. Since 2018 White Beard K9 has been training multiple agencies, allowing Howard to continue to share his knowledge and experiences, hoping to impassion and broaden the skills of others to be successful in the world of working dogs.

Todd has been a police officer since 2002, and a K9 handler since 2006 with East Hartford Police Department in Connecticut. He is a seasoned handler, having fielded multiple K9 partners across the years exceeding 70 criminal apprehensions and over 250 finds, to include suspects wanted for murder including a Puerto Rico's most wanted.Todd Conducts K9 patrol academies through his agency at East Hartford and also hosts a building search course in "Expanding the Building Search while Increasing Hunt Drive."

David spent 22 years as a police officer, with 12 as a K9 handler in Australia. Brandon has had a stellar career and a long history with K9 handling starting at an early age with family hunting experiences. Dr. Kai Goss is a professor for Environmental Chemistry at the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research in Leipzig, Germany. He's been published in 180 peer-reviewed publications and cited more than 5000 times by other researchers. In this episode, Jeff and Dr. Goss discuss the science of scent, the disputed accuracy on aged trails, and his experience as an expert witness in regard to scent and K9 tracking.
