In this episode, Professor AG reflects on a recent season of emotional healing and how it shifted the way she thinks about weight, stress, and the body. She talks through the idea that our bodies respond to difficult seasons by trying to protect and stabilize us, and that changes in weight or cravings can sometimes reflect the nervous system searching for safety. Rather than approaching the body with criticism or control, she shares the power of curiosity, self-compassion, and gentle structure. She encourages us to work with our bodies, listen to their signals, honor different seasons of life, and build a more supportive relationship with ourselves along the way.Timestamps:00:00 Introduction to AG University and Somatic Healing05:38 The Importance of Emotional Regulation11:30 Navigating Body Image and Self-Image18:14 Understanding Weight Fluctuations and Body Connection24:32 The Blessing of Hashimoto's Diagnosis29:45 Understanding Weight Loss and Energy Dynamics35:38 Stewardship of the Body: A Spiritual Perspective42:47 The Journey of Self-Acceptance and HealingKeywords: somatic work, nervous system, body acceptance, emotional regulation, weight fluctuation, self-love, autoimmune, intuitive eating, energy healingWhat is AGU? Honor is one of the most powerful — and most misunderstood — principles in life. In this episode of The Impossible Life Podcast, Garrett Unclebach and Nick Surface break down what honor really means, why it matters, and how it affects everything from leadership and relationships to faith and personal growth. Most people think honor simply means respect or admiration. But the Bible reveals something deeper: honor means assigning value — choosing to value what God values and responding accordingly.Garrett explains how honor is foundational to God's design for authority, order, and blessing. When you learn to honor God, honor people, and honor the structures God puts in place, you gain access to the wisdom, opportunities, and favor that flow through those relationships. The episode explores:The biblical definition of honor and why it's different from respectHow dishonor shows up in modern cultureWhy honor is not based on whether someone deserves itThe story of David honoring Saul despite being mistreatedHow honor unlocks blessing and opportunityWhy humility is the foundation of honorNick and Garrett also dive into the beliefs that create a “state of honor,” including:God is the highest authorityGod establishes authority to create orderHonor unlocks blessing and accessTrue honor flows from humilityThe challenge of honor is simple but powerful: You don't honor people because they deserve it.You honor because of who you are. And when you choose honor — even when it's difficult — you align yourself with God's design for leadership, relationships, and influence.Because in God's kingdom: Honor opens doors that talent alone never will.Get With NuWave Home Lenders By Clicking HereJoin a group of likeminded Impossible Life listeners in our FREE Skool community by clicking here.Get the Purpose Playbook by clicking hereGet the FREE Basic Discipline Training 30 Day Program by clicking hereJoin us in Mindset Mastery by clicking hereIf you're a man that wants real accountability and training to be a leader, click here.Level up your nutrition with IDLife by clicking hereGET IN TOUCHSocial Media - @theimpossiblelifeEmail - info@theimpossible.life

What happens when God prepares you for nearly two decades before revealing your next assignment? In this episode of The Impossible Life Podcast, Garrett Unclebach and Nick Surface sit down with entrepreneur and community leader Rod Vilhauer, who shares the incredible journey that led him from business success… to personal desert… to stepping into a completely unexpected calling: running for mayor of Frisco, Texas.Rod built a company that generated $400 million a year in revenue, only to watch it collapse and spend the next 18 years walking through a season of waiting and testing. What looked like a desert was actually preparation.Through stories about faith, perseverance, and sowing seed when nothing seems to be growing, Rod explains how God uses difficult seasons to build the character needed for future leadership. The conversation explores:Why God often spends more time working in a person than working through themHow seasons of struggle build the foundation for purposeThe biblical principle of sowing seed even in droughtWhy faith requires looking vertical instead of horizontalThe role Christians should play in leadership and public lifeWhat it looks like to step into purpose even later in lifeRod also shares the story of his brother planting crops during a drought when every other farmer said it was pointless—only to see an incredible harvest later. The lesson is simple but powerful: If you stop sowing, you eliminate your chance to reap.Whether you're in a season of waiting, wondering about your calling, or trying to understand how faith intersects with leadership and culture, this episode will challenge you to keep sowing, keep trusting God, and stay ready for the moment when the door finally opens.Because sometimes the longest seasons of preparation lead to the most unexpected purpose.Join a group of likeminded Impossible Life listeners in our FREE Skool community by clicking here.Get the Purpose Playbook by clicking hereGet the FREE Basic Discipline Training 30 Day Program by clicking hereJoin us in Mindset Mastery by clicking hereIf you're a man that wants real accountability and training to be a leader, click here.Level up your nutrition with IDLife by clicking hereGET IN TOUCHSocial Media - @theimpossiblelifeEmail - info@theimpossible.life

What if obedience isn't about rules… but about your heart? In this episode of The Impossible Life Podcast, Garrett Unclebach and Nick Surface break down what obedience really means and why most people misunderstand it. The problem isn't usually that people don't know what to do — the real challenge is why they're doing it.Garrett explains that God cares more about the heart behind your actions than the actions themselves. Someone can do the right thing for the wrong reason, while another person can pursue God imperfectly but with a heart that truly desires Him. Obedience begins when your heart is aligned with God's heart. The conversation dives into how obedience flows from love and submission — not legalism — and how the process of following God transforms both your thinking and your character. Nick and Garrett unpack how this plays out in real life through three major areas:Marriage – Why guarding your heart determines how well you love the people closest to you.Money – How trusting money instead of God slowly pulls your heart away from Him.The Process – Why faithfulness in the present moment matters more than rushing toward outcomes. They also explore the powerful formula in Romans 12:1–2 — offering your life to God, renewing your mind, and learning to recognize His will. Obedience isn't just about behavior; it's about the transformation of your mind and heart working together. The good news is you don't have to be perfect. Obedience isn't about flawless performance. It's about a heart that continually turns back toward God and says: “Whatever you want… that's what I want.”Join a group of likeminded Impossible Life listeners in our FREE Skool community by clicking here.Get the Purpose Playbook by clicking hereGet the FREE Basic Discipline Training 30 Day Program by clicking hereJoin us in Mindset Mastery by clicking hereIf you're a man that wants real accountability and training to be a leader, click here.Level up your nutrition with IDLife by clicking hereGET IN TOUCHSocial Media - @theimpossiblelifeEmail - info@theimpossible.life
What if the biggest threat to your podcast isn't audience fatigue…is the guest you're letting hold your microphone hostage? Not your audio quality. Not the algorithm. Not your tech stack.Your lack of command.“Just letting the conversation flow naturally” is the fastest way to kill your podcast monetization. In today's episode, I'm talking about a powerful decision we can make in midlife (or at any time really): choosing peace over problems. Sometimes the strongest move isn't pushing harder, fixing more, or proving your point-it's recognizing when a situation no longer aligns with your values and having the courage to step away.Strong women change rooms. In this episode, Professor AG talks about a spontaneous trip to Jamaica that felt deeply guided and anything but random. She reflects on what it means to finally experience the fruits of choosing the hard thing, especially when an older version of herself would have avoided the discomfort, and reminds us that if we are not seeing the payoff yet, it is still unfolding. She explores how our higher self is always communicating with us and how presence is the key to hearing it. It's a reminder to trust the guidance you're receiving and move with life instead of against it. Links from this episode -Daily somatic classes to regulate your nervous system. Goals don't fail because you're lazy; they fail because you're alone with them. We sat down with Natalie, a veteran coach and community builder from New Zealand, to unpack why accountability works, how to make it feel supportive instead of pushy, and what happens when you choose partners who match your values and season of life. If you've ever swung between overstuffed weeks and quiet procrastination, this conversation gives you a humane system for steady progress. We start by demystifying accountability and tackling the myths that it's joyless or rigid. Natalie shares the numbers that change the game: writing a goal helps a little, telling someone boosts it to 65 percent, and showing up for regular check-ins pushes success to 95 percent. From there, we dig into motivation styles—why revenue isn't always the right carrot, how service and impact can fuel deeper commitment, and how a thoughtful partner will adapt their approach to what actually moves you. You'll learn to spot the “overwhelm spiral,” break work into realistic steps, and use weekly top threes to ship what matters. We also get practical about finding the right people. Paid masterminds and memberships offer structure and peer alignment, while conferences and online communities spark organic matches. Fit matters: look for integrity, follow-through, and complementary strengths rather than identical personalities. Groups can outperform pairs by giving you a mix of strategist, challenger, and encourager—so you get the push you need on some days and the lift you need on others. We touch on the unique power of retreats to reset energy and sharpen plans, then introduce Natalie's life audit to align health, relationships, and business goals so you're building with real capacity, not fumes.Ready to stop ghosting your goals? Most people think obedience is about control. It isn't.In this episode of The Impossible Life Podcast, Garrett Unclebach and Nick Surface unpack the real purpose of obedience — not restriction, but transformation. Drawing from Scripture, SEAL training, parenting, and real-life leadership experience, they explain why obedience is the pathway to confidence, freedom, and fruitfulness. The conversation starts with a simple example: teaching someone how to shoot. When someone follows instructions exactly, growth happens fast. But when people add their own version, results break down. The same principle applies to business, faith, marriage, and personal growth.Garrett breaks down how obedience trained at a high level eliminates fear. In elite training, repetitive obedience to small things creates confidence when the stakes become life-or-death. Spiritually, the same principle applies — obedience prepares you for tests you don't yet see coming. This episode explores:Why obedience isn't legalism — it's alignmentThe difference between obedience driven by fear vs loveHow partial obedience still creates failure (the story of Saul)Why doing “your version” of instruction rarely produces fruitThe role parents and leaders play in teaching obedienceHow strong standards create freedom instead of restrictionThe four-part obedience formula: instruction → standards → repetition → testYou'll also hear the two levels of obedience:Submission — trusting because someone wiser leads youFaithfulness — obeying even when you can't see the result yetThe goal isn't blind rule-following. The goal is becoming the kind of person who understands that obedience always produces fruit — even when the process feels hard. Because when the real test comes, you don't rise to the level of your intentions. You fall to the level of your training.Join a group of likeminded Impossible Life listeners in our FREE Skool community by clicking here.Get the Purpose Playbook by clicking hereGet the FREE Basic Discipline Training 30 Day Program by clicking hereJoin us in Mindset Mastery by clicking hereIf you're a man that wants real accountability and training to be a leader, click here.Level up your nutrition with IDLife by clicking hereGET IN TOUCHSocial Media - @theimpossiblelifeEmail - info@theimpossible.life

A positive attitude isn't pretending life is easy. It's choosing how you respond — especially when it isn't.In this episode of The Impossible Life Podcast, Garrett Unclebach and Nick Surface break down why positive attitude is more than optimism — it's a leadership skill, a mindset discipline, and a decision that determines the direction of your life.Using the aviation idea that attitude determines altitude, the conversation explores how your internal orientation — your thoughts, focus, and emotional direction — influences where your life goes. A negative attitude points you downward. A positive attitude keeps you climbing.Garrett explains that positivity isn't about ignoring reality. It's about choosing what you focus on:Gratitude instead of complaintsPossibility instead of fearEncouragement instead of discouragementLeadership instead of emotional reactionThe episode also dives into how positive attitude transforms the three things everyone faces - pain, criticism, and failure. This episode isn't about fake positivity. If you've ever felt like your body is failing you, your motivation has disappeared, or you just don't feel like yourself anymore — this episode is for you.Today I'm challenging one of the most damaging beliefs midlife women carry: the idea that something is wrong with them.Midlife is not a breakdown. It's a transition. A recalibration. A powerful invitation to rebuild your health, identity, and priorities in a way that actually supports who you are now. This episode will help you reframe physical, emotional, and mental changes — not as evidence that you are broken, but as signals that you are evolving...that you are becoming! You don't need fixing. You need support, alignment, and permission to change and become.

Everybody wants God's favor. But most people misunderstand what it actually looks like.In this episode of The Impossible Life Podcast, Garrett Unclebach and Nick Surface break down one of the most misunderstood ideas in Christianity — favor — and why it's not about getting everything you want, winning every time, or avoiding difficulty.Using stories from Scripture — Noah, Joseph, David, and others — they unpack a truth that flips common thinking upside down: God's favor doesn't mean life is easy. Sometimes favor looks like being a slave… building a boat while everyone mocks you… or walking through a season you didn't ask for. This episode explores:The difference between luck and favorWhy you can't manipulate God — but you can align with HimHow favor comes from wanting what God wantsWhat it means to have a heart oriented toward GodThe difference between favor with God and favor with peopleWhy character, faithfulness, and integrity create influence over timeHow true favor grows when you let go of control and step into God's flowGarrett and Nick explain that favor is not God bending to your plan — it's God stooping down to help you fulfill His plan for your life. When your heart aligns with God's purpose, the board starts to tilt. Doors open. Opportunities appear. Not because life becomes easier — but because you're finally moving in the direction you were designed for.Favor isn't about getting your way. It's about getting on God's way — and discovering that it's better.Join a group of likeminded Impossible Life listeners in our FREE Skool community by clicking here.Get the Purpose Playbook by clicking hereGet the FREE Basic Discipline Training 30 Day Program by clicking hereJoin us in Mindset Mastery by clicking hereIf you're a man that wants real accountability and training to be a leader, click here.Level up your nutrition with IDLife by clicking hereGET IN TOUCHSocial Media - @theimpossiblelifeEmail - info@theimpossible.life

But it might be the single greatest key to seeing God more clearly in your life.In this episode of The Impossible Life Podcast, Garrett Unclebach and Nick Surface dive into what repentance actually means — not guilt, not shame, and not just saying “my bad,” but a true change of mind and heart that realigns you with God's way.The word for repentance literally means “to think differently afterwards.” It's the process God uses to transform you from the inside out — not through willpower alone, but through humility, knowledge of God, and the work of the Holy Spirit. This conversation breaks down:Why repentance is the pathway to deeper intimacy with GodHow humility opens the door for transformationThe difference between remorse and real repentanceWhy the Holy Spirit reveals areas of growth progressivelyHow knowledge of God reshapes your thinking and identityWhy repentance isn't a one-time event — it's a lifestyleGarrett and Nick explain how spiritual growth works in layers: God doesn't expose everything at once. Instead, as you mature, He reveals new areas where His way is better — inviting you into deeper freedom, obedience, and purpose. If you want more clarity… more direction… more of God's presence in your life — this episode explains why repentance isn't punishment. It's invitation.Because repentance isn't about what you're losing. It's about what you're finally able to see.Join a group of likeminded Impossible Life listeners in our FREE Skool community by clicking here.Get the Purpose Playbook by clicking hereGet the FREE Basic Discipline Training 30 Day Program by clicking hereJoin us in Mindset Mastery by clicking hereIf you're a man that wants real accountability and training to be a leader, click here.Level up your nutrition with IDLife by clicking hereGET IN TOUCHSocial Media - @theimpossiblelifeEmail - info@theimpossible.life
What if the way you think about change is the very thing holding you back?So often, when we try to improve our health, habits, routines, or mindset, we focus on what we have to give up — comfort foods, old patterns, time on the couch, excuses, or even parts of our identity that once felt safe. And when everything feels like loss, it's no wonder change feels heavy, restrictive, and hard to sustain. But what if the real transformation happens when you shift your focus from what you're losing… to who you're BECOMING?In this episode, we dive into the powerful mindset shift that reframes growth from sacrifice to evolution. You'll learn why focusing on “giving up” keeps you stuck in resistance, and how embracing “becoming” creates momentum, motivation, and meaning. This is about identity-level change — the kind that lasts.

Trading time for money has a hard ceiling. We sit down with Kate Walker—therapist, founder of Kate Walker Training, and the mind behind a top-tier 40-hour supervisor course—to unpack how a deeply niche offer, smart email funnels, and member-driven upsells turned specialized expertise into a seven-figure business. The shift didn't happen overnight: it started with state rule changes that opened the door to hybrid learning, followed by a bold move to a fully online program released right before COVID pushed demand into the stratosphere.Kate walks us through the decisions that mattered: focusing on a small set of durable search terms instead of chasing broad SEO, using AI to identify cornerstone content and internal links, and building trust quickly through live webinars, a podcast, and YouTube. We talk about the system behind list growth—a single memorable bonus link, rotating freebies inside Podia, tagging and funnels that meet prospects where they are—so every new listener or reader can take the next step with ease.Revenue scale came from reshaping the product, not just selling harder. Kate split one flagship course into three offers, added a membership to sustain value, and baked in upsells at checkout with well-timed save sequences when members consider canceling. She shares how capturing Google reviews, routing feedback intelligently, and constantly improving the content made price increases both fair and effective. Then we zoom out to the big leap: taking the course nationwide despite complex state-by-state rules. With SOPs, a trained team, and clear metrics, that expansion becomes a series of repeatable projects—and a path to more freedom, more impact, and more time for family. If you're ready to scale beyond the calendar, this conversation gives you a practical blueprint: start with an opt-in that truly helps, teach live to compress trust, write to the search terms that already bring buyers, and let your funnel run long enough to work. Subscribe, share this with a colleague who needs the nudge, and leave a review to tell us which tactic you'll try first.Read more HEREIf you want deeper coaching, more transparency, and the episodes that actually help you make decisions faster in your business, then subscribe to Unhinged.Support the show

Fear rarely announces itself. It doesn't walk into your life yelling. It whispers. It sounds logical. Responsible. Even wise. But underneath, it's often just a negative imagined future—a story your mind is telling you that hasn't happened and may never happen. In this episode of The Impossible Life Podcast, Garrett Unclebach and Nick Surface unpack how fear actually works—and why so many people don't even recognize when they're operating in it. Fear often begins with a subtle focus on lack or negativity, which grows into doubt and eventually becomes paralysis. The conversation identifies three of the most common fears that quietly shape decisions:Fear of the Unknown → Robs you of purpose by demanding certainty God never promised.Fear of Loss → Keeps you from sowing, risking, and stewarding what God has given you.Fear of Failure → Distorts identity and keeps you performing for approval instead of living from it.Garrett and Nick explain how the human brain is wired for survival, constantly imagining worst-case scenarios—but that same creative power can be redirected toward faith, growth, and what's possible. This episode is a call to recognize fear for what it is, stop letting imagined futures dictate present obedience, and step into the life God is actually inviting you to live. Because most of the time, the thing stealing your future isn't real. It's just believed.Join a group of likeminded Impossible Life listeners in our FREE Skool community by clicking here.Get the Purpose Playbook by clicking hereGet the FREE Basic Discipline Training 30 Day Program by clicking hereJoin us in Mindset Mastery by clicking hereIf you're a man that wants real accountability and training to be a leader, click here.Level up your nutrition with IDLife by clicking hereGET IN TOUCHSocial Media - @theimpossiblelifeEmail - info@theimpossible.life

Why do some men stay driven for decades—while others burn out, stall, or constantly need another motivational hit?In this episode of The Impossible Life Podcast, Garrett Unclebach and Nick Surface break down the three forces that motivate every human being: pain, pleasure, and purpose—and why only one of them can sustain you long-term.Using real life examples, they explain why pain and pleasure work—but only temporarily. Pain will make you move, but it won't keep you moving. Pleasure will excite you, but it always fades. Most men live trapped in this loop, mistaking emotional intensity for direction. The conversation reframes motivation not as a feeling, but as a fuel source—and shows why purpose is the only fuel that grows stronger the more you use it. Drawing from Maslow's hierarchy, biblical teaching, and personal experience, Garrett explains why purpose is intrinsic, eternal, and tied directly to who God created you to be.In this episode, you'll learn:The difference between pain-, pleasure-, and purpose-driven motivationWhy motivation based on feelings always runs outHow chasing comfort and success can still leave you emptyWhy purpose produces energy instead of consuming itHow Jesus describes a motivation that never leaves you thirstyHow to identify what's actually driving you in your health, faith, marriage, and financesThis episode isn't about hype or temporary discipline. It's about becoming the kind of man who doesn't need to be motivated—because he's anchored to purpose. If you've ever felt stuck, burned out, or frustrated that motivation never lasts, this conversation will give you a new framework—and a better fuel—to move forward.Join a group of likeminded Impossible Life listeners in our FREE Skool community by clicking here.Get the Purpose Playbook by clicking hereGet the FREE Basic Discipline Training 30 Day Program by clicking hereJoin us in Mindset Mastery by clicking hereIf you're a man that wants real accountability and training to be a leader, click here.Level up your nutrition with IDLife by clicking hereGET IN TOUCHSocial Media - @theimpossiblelifeEmail - info@theimpossible.life
Most men don't fail because they lack motivation. They fail because they never set real standards. In this episode of The Impossible Life Podcast, Garrett Unclebach and Nick Surface break down exactly how to create standards that actually hold up under pressure—not hype-driven rules you break a week later, but identity-based minimums that shape your life.Using examples from SEAL training, family leadership, physical health, and everyday life, Garrett explains why standards are the minimum you're willing to accept, not your best day or your intentions. When standards are clear, binary, and tied to purpose, they eliminate negotiation and build discipline automatically. In this episode, you'll learn:Why standards must be set from a sober mindHow to anchor standards to identity, not emotionsThe role values play in making standards sustainableWhy defining the minimum protects you from disasterHow binary standards eliminate excusesWhat to do when you break a standard—and how to recover without quittingGarrett also walks through a real-world example of setting a physical health standard and explains why protecting the floor of your life matters more than chasing peaks. If you've ever said “this is my standard” and then watched yourself violate it, this episode will give you a framework to reset, rebuild, and move forward with clarity. Today I want to talk about GLP-1 and the things you may not be aware of with regard to these medications. I recorded this episode last Fall, but wasn't ready to release it until now as there is so much judgement about the use of these. I find that abhorrent and frustrating- who is anyone to judge another woman's path?! Anyway, this is not advice or an attempt to convince you of anything. I am not a medical professional, doctor, or anything- this is just my personal research and what has happened for me. I talk about other benefits that are being seen from utilizing a GLP-1 other than weight loss as well. There is so much chatter online about the “right” way to do this or that. Perimenopause is an insane trip. Every day is different and there are many ways to navigate the crazy. Using a GLP-1 is a tool- that's it. Everyone's health journey involves the use of tools- nutrition, exercise, supplements, mindset, medications, coaches, etc. We all have a toolbox and mine will not be the same as yours and vice versa. I chose very intentionally to inquire about and to eventually make use of a GLP-1 along with HRT.

What if the hardest path in your life is actually the right one?In this episode of The Impossible Life Podcast, Garrett Unclebach and Nick Surface unpack the biblical, psychological, and practical meaning of the narrow road—and why so many people misunderstand it.Using Scripture, real-world examples, and powerful analogies, the conversation reframes the narrow road not as religious restriction, but as God's process for transformation. The broad road promises clarity, comfort, and predictable outcomes—but only reveals its true cost later. The narrow road offers uncertainty upfront, but leads to life, maturity, and alignment with God's purpose.Garrett explains how the narrow road began with sin entering the world, how it culminates in Christ, and why walking it—not just knowing it—prepares you for eternal life and real leadership. Together, Garrett and Nick explore why certainty kills faith, why God prioritizes who you become over what you achieve, and how this dynamic applies to marriage, business, parenting, and suffering. In this episode, you'll learn:Why the narrow road exists and what it's designed to produceThe difference between knowing the gate and walking the roadWhy God is a God of process, not shortcutsHow belief, surrender, and trust are forged through uncertaintyWhy transformation—not outcomes—is God's primary goalHow the narrow road unlocks paths forward when life feels blockedIf you're frustrated, confused, or stuck—and the easy options feel empty—this episode will give you a new framework for understanding what God may be doing in your life right now. There is a way forward. This message invites us to read the Bible not merely as a text about Jesus, but as a place where we encounter Jesus Himself. On the road to Emmaus, the risen Christ walks with two confused disciples, explains the Scriptures, and reveals that the entire Bible points to Him. Their hearts burn, their eyes are opened, and their minds are given understanding, not through technique alone, but through presence. Scripture becomes life-giving when read with Jesus, allowing Him to interpret the Word He inspired. This message calls us to slow down, stay with Scripture, and let Jesus form us through burning hearts, open eyes, and understanding minds.Move us from reading the Bible for information about Jesus toencountering Jesus through the Bible.Key Scriptures:Luke 24:13-32- Jesus walks with His disciples and explains the Scriptures.Luke 24:44-45-Jesus opens minds to understand Scripture.John 5:39-40 -Scriptures testify about Jesus, yet can be readwithout coming to Him.2 Timothy 3:15 - Scripture makes us wise for salvation through faith in Christ.Support the showThis podcast is brought to you free of charge through the donations of generous people. If this content blessed you and you would like to help us reach more people, please take a few minutes to rate our podcast and leave us a review. If you'd like to support us financially, you can make donations hereIf you'd like to learn more about us you can visit our website. If you'd like to contact us directly follow this link. Why do so many men quit—not suddenly, but quietly? In this episode, Garrett Unclebach and Nick Surface break down why quitting usually isn't about willpower. It's about focus. When focus drifts, doubt multiplies. And once doubt takes over, quitting starts to feel logical—even justified.Using the story of David at Ziklag (1 Samuel 30), Garrett and Nick unpack what happens when everything falls apart at once. David returns home to find his city burned, his family taken, and his own men talking about killing him. In one of the most intense moments of Scripture, David doesn't spiral—he strengthens himself in the Lord, asks God what to do next, and moves forward with clarity and conviction. The episode breaks down:The force multipliers of doubt (unknowns, obstacles, past failures, emotions)Why focus is a muscle you must consciously directHow belief multiplies when you shift focus back to who God isWhy small, daily focus resets are more powerful than waiting for motivationHow zooming out—and then taking the next right step—changes everythingThis isn't about hype or self-help. It's about learning how to catch your focus before it runs wild, anchor it in God's character, and move forward—even when everything feels stacked against you.If you've been discouraged, distracted, or tempted to quit, this episode will help you reset your focus and reclaim momentum—starting today.Join a group of likeminded Impossible Life listeners in our FREE Skool community by clicking here.Get the Purpose Playbook by clicking hereGet the FREE Basic Discipline Training 30 Day Program by clicking hereJoin us in Mindset Mastery by clicking hereIf you're a man that wants real accountability and training to be a leader, click here.Level up your nutrition with IDLife by clicking hereGET IN TOUCHSocial Media - @theimpossiblelifeEmail - info@theimpossible.life

What does it actually mean to live The Impossible Life? In this episode, Garrett Unclebach and Nick Surface break down the vision behind the podcast and the deeper meaning of living a life that looks “impossible” to the world but is fully possible with God.You'll hear the origin story of the podcast, why “possible” became the foundation, and how the Impossible Life isn't about self-help—it's about full surrender, biblical transformation, and becoming a living demonstration of what Christianity actually looks like in real life.Garrett and Nick unpack 5 core pillars of the Impossible Life: submission to God, wanting greatness (God's definition), identity, belief, and principles—and how each one builds a man who is resilient, disciplined, purpose-driven, and fully aligned with God's plan. Most people spend their lives chasing happiness yet end up miserable. In this episode of The Impossible Life Podcast, Garrett and Nick flip the script using inverse thinking to expose 10 decisions that almost guarantee a broken, unhappy life. Inspired by the philosophies of Charlie Munger and Warren Buffett, this episode shows that sometimes the fastest path to wisdom is learning what not to do.You'll hear why making life all about yourself leads to emptiness, how chronic complaining drains momentum, why refusing to take risks kills potential, and how neglecting self-development, health, and belief sabotages your future. Garrett breaks down how belief systems shape outcomes, why confidence and risk are inseparable, and how consuming more than you create slowly erodes purpose and fulfillment. The episode culminates with the two most destructive choices of all: loving yourself more than God, and never developing a deep, lifelong relationship with Him. If you want to avoid regret, live with meaning, and build a life that actually works, this episode gives you a clear warning sign for every major pitfall—and shows you how to walk the opposite path toward purpose, faith, and strength.Join a group of likeminded Impossible Life listeners in our FREE Skool community by clicking here.Get the Purpose Playbook by clicking hereGet the FREE Basic Discipline Training 30 Day Program by clicking hereJoin us in Mindset Mastery by clicking hereIf you're a man that wants real accountability and training to be a leader, click here.Level up your nutrition with IDLife by clicking hereGET IN TOUCHSocial Media - @theimpossiblelifeEmail - info@theimpossible.life
