In 3×11, "Alpha Pact," our characters must make some incredibly difficult choices to secure the safety of the ones they love. Scott is working with Deucalion to find his mother who has been kidnapped by Jennifer as a Guardian sacrifice, officially siding with the villain. Chris gives himself over to the Darach as the third and final Guardian sacrifice (in front of Allison and Isaac, no less!) to attempt to save Melissa and the Sheriff.Morrell reveals some interesting, murder-y information about Deucalion and he is not pleased, obviously. Peter politely walks Derek to the emotional edge and Derek officially sacrifices his Alpha Spark to save his sister Cora. Oh, Derek. However, all of this pales in comparison to the ritual in which Scott, Stiles, and Allison allow themselves to become surrogate sacrifices to save their parents. Come on, there's literally no other answer? Permanent darkness around your heart? Turning Beacon Hills back into a beacon for supernatural creepy crawlies? No one thought of anything better? Also, this is the episode with the elevator scene. So, praise be.xoxo,FotRhttps://linktr.ee/fandomontherocks

Welcome to the season 9 finale!!!!! I was sent a screener for a new film making the festival rounds called The Militia, it is written and directed by Dylan King Welter and then I was able to interview him. I really did enjoy this film, just wasn't sure how to go about the interview on this topic. When it is released, I highly recommend checking out the film, but until then, enjoy this great interview. I can't wait until this film is released, but also can't wait to see what else Dylan directs and writes in the future. The synopsis of the film is: Daniel Pierce dreams of joining the local Militia alongside his father once he turns eighteen, but when his Dad becomes the target of the local Sheriff, Daniel and his friends form their own militia in a troubled effort to save him.The Militia Drink:Grab a 6, 12, 18, or 30 pack of your favorite good ol' American beer and enjoy the drinking game. The Militia Drinking GameDrink when…you see a gun on screen.you go “oh no”.you think that's a bad idea.a teenager cursesAs always, drink responsibly and with others. On this episode of Everyday Injustice, host David Greenwald speaks with journalist and legal scholar Jessica Pishko about her acclaimed book The Highest Law in the Land, a deep dive into the growing political and institutional power of elected sheriffs in the United States. Pishko explains how sheriffs—often overlooked in criminal justice reform circles—have quietly become key enforcers of a right-wing populist agenda, rooted in a dangerous blend of electoral legitimacy, constitutional distortion, and unchecked local authority. Pishko, whose book has become increasingly relevant amid the Trump administration's renewed embrace of “tough-on-crime” policies and anti-immigrant enforcement, shares how her reporting evolved over time. Initially approaching the topic as a straightforward study of criminal legal institutions, she soon realized she was documenting something far more urgent: the rise of a far-right movement within law enforcement, powered by sheriffs who see themselves as the ultimate arbiters of the Constitution—especially its Second Amendment—and defenders of an idealized, exclusionary vision of America. The conversation touches on the alarming resurgence of programs like 287(g) task force agreements, the disproportionate policing and incarceration of poor, rural, and white communities, and the disturbing feedback loop between constitutional sheriffs and Trump-era authoritarianism. Greenwald and Pishko also discuss the moral and political implications of an elected law enforcement official wielding both symbolic and literal power, often with little oversight and immense local control. Pishko's thesis is both clear and controversial: the office of sheriff, as it currently exists, should be abolished. Drawing on a mix of legal history, investigative reporting, and on-the-ground interviews, she argues that reform has proven inadequate in the face of a deeply entrenched and ideologically driven system. As she puts it, every attempt at reform is met with a backlash "50 times the ask." This episode offers a chilling but essential look at how rural law enforcement has become a front line in America's ongoing battle over democracy, race, and power.

Do you feel like you are crawling through life like a worm when God has created you to soar like a butterfly? Brother Duane teaches the importance of renewing our minds as Christians. The "Spirit of Our Mind" refers to our attitude or mindset, which influences not only what we think but also how we think. This message emphasizes the need to adopt a biblical worldview rather than a secular perspective. Exploring the metaphor of metamorphosis, we discover that transformation works from the inside out, like a caterpillar becoming a butterfly or a tadpole becoming a bullfrog. By aligning our thoughts with God's truth, a metamorphosis occurs within us. This change is not the result of an external effort, but rather through God's Spirit working within us. This inner transformation renews our minds through His Word, leading to true freedom and spiritual growth.

Docs are in denial, but the economic incentives make it inevitable. Meanwhile, you're working hard to become a doctor — and now a bot might take your place? The Sheriff of Sodium, Dr. Brian Carmody, is back on the Short Coat to say what nobody wants to hear but might need to: yes, AI in medicine is real, and the value proposition makes docs' replacement inevitable. From primary care AI to image-heavy fields like pathology, we're talking actual use cases. We break down physician automation, the AMA's waning influence, and why corporations – and even patients – might be the real force behind AI-driven doctor job loss. If you thought medical school guaranteed career security, this might shake your certainty. But there are specialties and human-only qualities that you can lean into for a bright future amidst the bots. Then the Sheriff, M3 Jeff Goddard, MD/PhD Miranda Schene, M2s Sarah Lowenberg and Taryn O'Brien pivot to a deeply personal listener question: should a pre-med student push through to med school while struggling with mental health, like her parents want her to? Or take time off to regroup?

Interview with William Sheriff, Executive Chairman of enCore Energy Corp. Our previous interview: https://www.cruxinvestor.com/posts/encore-energy-tsxv-eu-uranium-production-reset-sparks-opportunity-6905Recording date: 27th June 2025enCore Energy Corp (TSXV:EU), the leading in-situ recovery uranium producer in the United States, has achieved a dramatic operational transformation following a strategic reorganization implemented in March 2025. The company has nearly doubled its daily uranium extraction rates from below 2,000 pounds to over 3,700 pounds per day while simultaneously reducing production costs by 20%.The production surge resulted from accelerated drilling operations and expanded capacity. enCore increased its active drilling rigs from approximately 12-14 to 24 rigs while cutting well installation timelines in half. Executive Chairman William Sheriff emphasized that drilling efficiency represents "the single most important metric in terms of our production," as wells generate the uranium-bearing fluid processed at company facilities.Alongside production gains, enCore achieved significant cost optimization, reducing cash costs from approximately $40.80 per pound to $32 per pound in the latest quarter. Management targets further reductions to the low-$30s range, with an ultimate goal of $30 per pound. However, Sheriff acknowledged inherent economic limitations, noting the company has "a finite ability to go below a certain level" around the $30 range. The company strengthened its financial position through strategic asset sales, most notably divesting Anfield Energy shares for nearly $20 million during a cash-constrained period. This divestiture provided crucial liquidity to support operational expansion while maintaining contract fulfillment capabilities.enCore's growth trajectory continues with the Upper Spring Creek satellite facility, which recently received its radioactive materials license and began construction. The facility is expected to commence production by late 2025 or early 2026, significantly expanding the company's capacity beyond current Rosita and Alta Mesa plant operations. The operational improvements position enCore advantageously within the uranium sector, which faces supply constraints amid growing nuclear energy demand. As one of few active U.S. producers, the company benefits from domestic supply priorities while avoiding the capital intensity of greenfield development projects.Learn more: https://www.cruxinvestor.com/companies/encore-energySign up for Crux Investor: https://cruxinvestor.com

In part five of "Your True Identity," Brother Duane teaches how to discover your true identity through God's Word and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Just as Jesus discovered He was God's Son by studying Scripture at age 12, we can explore God's Word to learn who we are in Christ.Today, too many people allow their parents, friends, society, or past mistakes to define them. But God wants to reveal your real identity through His promises. When you read the truth in Scripture, like being "more than a conqueror" or an "overcomer," the Holy Spirit can speak directly to your heart and affirm, "That's who you are."Your confidence and purpose come from knowing your identity in Christ, not from your struggles or failures. Search God's Word and discover who God says you are through His Word. Your confidence, purpose, and destiny all flow from understanding your true identity in Christ Jesus.

In the eighth episode of "The Fundamentals of Prayer," Brother Duane explores the power of praying "in the name of Jesus." It's not just a phrase we add to the end of our prayers, but a declaration of our authority and relationship with Christ. Praying in Jesus' name means praying according to His will, word, and assignment, with the full backing of Christ's authority and power. In John 14, 15, and 16, Jesus promises that whatever we ask in His name, the Father will give us. By aligning ourselves with God's will and purpose, our prayers are based not on our righteousness but on Christ's righteousness.https://pastorduane.com/fundamentals-of-prayer/
