I am so excited to introduce you to Natalie Hodson (if you don’t already know her). Natalie is a mom of two, and an influencer in the world of fitness. She is the co-author of an e-book called “Abs, Core and Pelvic Floor” for women who have experienced diastasis recti (mommy pooch) from pregnancy. She also has created several workout and nutrition bundles for before, during and after pregnancy in addition to many other things. Recently, she started a podcast called “Pulling Back the Curtain” where she explores topics that most people simply won’t talk about. She is known for being real, genuine, raw and vulnerable, and has been a huge source of inspiration for so many women from all walks of life.

Why would you even try?" So how do we hear the voice, and say, "I CAN do this. I can take one more step." And continue moving forward? And how does choosing NOT to listen to self doubt put YOU in the driver's seat and force you to put down the victim crutch? Listen to find out!
I learned from John Maxwell many years ago that I will not outgrow the 5 closest influences in my life. That includes the physical bodies in your life, as well as the other people you let in for hours at a time through social media accounts, television, podcasts, radio, etc. The 5 voices you hear the most are GOING to influence you. If you are trying to lose weight but you're surrounded by people who love to bake and aren't concerned with their physical bodies, it is going to make it extremely difficult for you to change in that way. Be intentional with the voices in your life. What shows are you watching that aren't serving you well? What podcasts are you listening to, or social media accounts are you following that are influencing you in a negative way? Listen to learn how you can identify these voices and surround yourself with the RIGHT influences. Knowing your why is one of the most important things you can do with your time because it is the only thing that will keep you moving forward when things are hard. The Resolved Life is about IMPERFECT PROGRESS. We always take steps forward, regardless of how many times we trip over our own feet. Knowing your why gives you the strength and the endurance to do this, time and time again. We all have suffered from bloat from time to time. It is NEVER fun to finish a meal and within a few minutes, look like we are 4 months pregnant. Over time, the more aware of your body you become you can begin to learn which foods cause bloat and which ones help reduce it. This is very individual for most people, and requires some troubleshooting. But I came across 2 tricks that I SWEAR by, that are probably considered "Old Wives Tales" (since both were shared by someone's grandma!) I implement these 2 things every single day, and I don't struggle with that same daily bloat that I used to! Give it a shot!
I recently shared a post on The Resolved Life facebook page that i share every year to warn people of the danger of wire grill brushes. But this year, for some reason, it took off, went viral and was shown to over 16 million people. When that many people are seeing a post, you can guarantee that the trolls will come out! In fact, I got called a stupid b*tch and a dumba$$ twice each within a single hour... all for a post that I shared to spread awareness to to hopefully keep people out of the hospital. I love the quote, "You can be the sweetest, juiciest peach in the whole world, but there will always be a few people who hate peaches!" Here is my take on how to handle it when people try to "Troll" your success and put you down. Shine on, my friend!
Recently my son and I had a conversation about friends, and how some friends say things that are unkind they don't really mean, because of an insecurity they have about themselves. We talked about a situation at school where 2 boys commented on his long(ish) hair in 2 totally different ways. One tried to put him down, the other tried to model it. It was a perfect example of our two options when we are confronted with a situation, a person, a lifestyle, a house, a business, a job, a spouse, an outfit... that we can either get jealous over, or be inspired by. The only difference is how we CHOOSE to see it.
