From STEM trailblazer to AI visionary, Dr. Tamara Nall shares her extraordinary journey of perseverance, innovation, and purpose-driven leadership, showing women what it truly means to build with legacy in mind.Growing up in Alabama and Georgia, Dr. Nall's parents instilled a belief that education is the one thing no one can take away. When an Emory University counselor told her that STEM “wasn't for women like her,” she didn't retreat, she rose higher, applying that very night to a dual-degree program with Georgia Tech. She went on to become the first business student to graduate from that demanding program, blending business acumen with computer science — a foundation that would power her future as a global entrepreneur and change-maker.That same determination has guided every step of her journey. From Harvard Business School to earning a doctorate in engineering and leading The Leading Niche, her award-winning systems integration firm serving agencies like the CDC, NIH, and VA. When told she'd lost a government contract for not having a PhD, Dr. Nall didn't internalize rejection; she transformed it into action, completing her doctorate during the pandemic while running her company full-time. Her story is one of relentless learning, courage, and redefining what's possible for women in technology and business. In our conversation, Dr. Nall opens up about scaling sustainably, leading with empathy, and why women-owned businesses must focus not only on passion but profitability. She shares insights on strategic networking, purpose-driven culture, and her bold ventures in AI, from her platform Reli AI to Human AI Nation, where she's exploring the evolving relationship between humans and technology. Through it all, her message is clear: innovation begins when you dare to claim the space others say you don't belong in.This episode is a masterclass in resilience, reinvention, and responsible leadership. Tune in to hear Dr. Tamara Nall's remarkable story and be inspired to build your own legacy of impact and innovation.Chapters

Was braucht es, damit Veränderung wirklich gelingt? Let's change it, Baby!© 2025 Daniela Kanoun.Alle Rechte vorbehalten.Produktion: Daniela KanounMusik: Modern Air by Water
How to identify and rewrite the limiting beliefs holding you back.Achieving what you want in life doesn't just hinge on what you believe about your future. According to Muriel Wilkins, it has just as much to do with what you believe about your past and present.Wilkins is an executive coach, author, and host of the HBR podcast Coaching Real Leaders. In her new book, Leadership Unblocked: Breakthrough the Beliefs that Limit Your Potential, she explains how our personal and professional blocks often stem from our own limiting beliefs about ourselves. “A belief is a story that you tell yourself,” she says, “It is the operating principle that is driving your behavior and the decisions you make.” Before we can take actions that will lead us to where we want to go, we have to uncover these hidden beliefs. Otherwise, Wilkins says, “We'll come back right to where we started. It's not just about what we do, it's about what we think about what we do that makes all the difference."In this episode of Think Fast, Talk Smart, Wilkins and host Matt Abrahams explore the three-step process of uncover, unpack, and unblock — Wilkins' method for identifying limiting beliefs, understanding how they might be shaping our behavior, and updating narratives to align with who we actually want to be.To listen to the extended Deep Thinks version of this episode, please visit FasterSmarter.io/premium.Episode Reference Links:Muriel WilkinsMuriel's Book: Leadership UnblockedEp.102 Create a Presence: How to Communicate in a Way Others Can FeelEp.98 Give It to Me Straight: How to Give Honest, Constructive Feedback Connect:Premium Signup >>>> Think Fast Talk Smart PremiumEmail Questions & Feedback >>> hello@fastersmarter.ioEpisode Transcripts >>> Think Fast Talk Smart WebsiteNewsletter Signup + English Language Learning >>> FasterSmarter.ioThink Fast Talk Smart >>> LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTubeMatt Abrahams >>> LinkedInChapters:(00:00) - Introduction (02:17) - The Seven Limiting Beliefs (04:43) - Three Steps to Becoming Unblocked (07:57) - Rethinking Values and Success (09:12) - Healthy vs. Toxic Productivity (11:56) - The Power of Mindset and Reframing (14:32) - Reverse Engineering Your Goals (17:41) - Managing Emotional Investment (21:21) - The Final Three Question (27:42) - Conclusion ********Thank you to our sponsors. What if the life you're living is just a metaphor for the life you're meant to live? Pressfield kept his typewriter buried under spare parts in his truck. He knew it was there. Thought about it constantly. But he was too terrified to dig it out and write. So he drove. For years. Shadow callings aren't about laziness—they're about proximity without risk. We fall into fixed mindset thinking this is all we can do. We become English teachers instead of novelists, consultants instead of founders, gallery workers instead of artists. We stay close enough to feel legitimate, far enough to avoid the real work. This episode breaks down why your brain creates these elaborate escape mechanisms, what separates amateurs from professionals, and the exact moment everything changes. You'll learn: How to recognize if you're living a shadow career right now The 20 habits that separate professionals from amateurs Why turning pro is a decision you remake every single day SPONSORS

In this episode of The Future of Teamwork, Dane Groeneveld interviews Sonam Ludhani, RevOps Leader at TONOMUS, for a thoughtful conversation about the intersection of growth mindset, leadership, and AI adoption. Sonam and Dane unpack how “no-blame” cultures and psychologically safe teams unlock innovation, and why true leaders act as coaches and enablers, not gatekeepers of knowledge. Sonam also explains why so many AI initiatives fail – and how teams can build credibility, reliability, and openness into their workflows with agentic AI. This episode is a great reminder that AI is a partner, not a replacement, and that the teams who thrive will be those who use it to elevate human potential.

Grandpa Bill & monthly Guest Byron Athene talk-Logic-Establishing the Core Conflict1. "Defining the Gap": We've talked about the ideal of Formal Logic versus the reality of Human Logic. Can you explain that difference in terms of a clinical symptom? What does it look like when a patient's 'psychological logic' completely overrides objective reality, and how much emotional pain does that conflict cause?Logic in Modern Therapy (CBT)2. "Cognitive Restructuring": Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is largely about identifying and challenging illogical thinking patterns. Could you give us a concrete example of a common cognitive distortion—like 'all-or-nothing thinking'—and walk us through how a therapist logically 'disproves' that internal rule for the client?Logic in Historical Therapy (Psychoanalysis)3. "The Logic of Dreams": You mentioned Freud's Primary Process Logic which governs the unconscious. How is the 'logic' we see in a client's dreams or neurotic symptoms actually a form of illogical problem-solving for the unconscious mind, and how does tracing that 'logic' help the analyst?Logic and Development4. "Regressing Under Stress": Piaget showed us that Formal Operational Logic (the ability to reason hypothetically) is a late developmental achievement. When an adult is under extreme stress or trauma, do they often emotionally or cognitively regress to a simpler, more concrete logic? And if so, how does that regression make their problems seem inescapable?Logic and Emotion5. "The Logic of Feeling": Many people use the phrase, "It felt true, so it must be true." How do you help a client separate the validity of a feeling (the feeling itself is real) from the validity of the conclusion that feeling suggests?Cultural and Contextual Logic6. "External Logic": Logic is often treated as purely internal, but how much is a person's 'logical' framework actually shaped by their family history, cultural background, or societal environment? Can a perfectly logical person in one culture be considered wildly illogical in another?7. "Teaching the Logic Habit": For our listeners who want to start thinking more clearly and suffering less from their own internal illogic, what is one simple daily mental exercise or habit they can adopt to begin strengthening their Formal Logic muscles and challenge their ingrained cognitive biases?#ByronAthene, #Logic, #Philosophy, #CriticalThinking ,#LogicalFallacies, #Rationality, #Mindset, #SelfImprovement, #CognitiveBias, #YouTuberInterview, #Podcast, #GrowthMindset, #PersonalGrowth, #AppliedLogic,

What if the toughest conversation on your calendar is the very thing that unlocks respect, growth, and retention? We sit down with leadership expert and best-selling author Jeff Hancher to demystify feedback and turn a dreaded chore into a repeatable system for building high-trust, high-performance teams.Jeff shares a clear framework for setting expectations and choosing the right feedback style for the moment: directive when safety or standards are on the line, collaborative when you need ownership from a seasoned pro, and supportive when a proven performer hits a dip. We talk through common blockers—fear of fallout, emotional reactions, and not knowing how to start—and replace them with practical language leaders can use today. You'll hear how to earn the right to be candid through steady “deposits,” why annual reviews create blind spots, and how weekly one-on-ones become the engine of engagement.Along the way, Jeff's personal story shows the power of firm feedback delivered with care. A manager who held the line and held space changed his trajectory—and his loyalty—forever. We explore how to move from people pleasing to respect, how to ask questions that reveal self-awareness, and why withholding feedback is unfair to the person and the business. Expect simple phrases, a cadence you can sustain all year, and a playbook for confident, compassionate conversations that actually change behavior.Ready to trade avoidance for impact? Press play, then share this episode with a leader who avoids tough talks. If it resonated, follow the show, leave a quick review, and tell us which feedback style you'll try first. Why we learn the most when we accept that we might be wrong.Effective communication isn't about having all the answers. As Astro Teller knows, it's about finding (and sometimes fumbling) your way through the questions.Teller is a computer scientist, entrepreneur, and inventor who serves as Captain of Moonshots at X, Alphabet's Moonshot Factory. In his work leading teams toward audacious solutions to seemingly unsolvable problems, he embraces what he calls “a learning journey,” where being wrong isn't the end, but the beginning. “As scary as it is to be wrong,” he says, it's a necessary part of the discovery process. Whether experimenting in the lab or testing our thoughts and opinions in conversation with others, it's about having the humility and curiosity to face the limits of our understanding. “When do you learn something? You learn something when you have a model about the world, and then you get some data that tells you you're wrong,” he says. “You learn nothing when you're right.”In this episode of Think Fast, Talk Smart, Teller and host Matt Abrahams discuss how embracing uncertainty drives innovation, why leaders should reward learning habits over outcomes, and how we learn the most when we're not afraid to find that we might be wrong. To listen to the extended Deep Thinks version of this episode, please visit FasterSmarter.io/premium.Episode Reference Links:Astro TellerAstro's Book: Sacred Cows Ep.70 Ideas Fuel Innovation: Why Your First Ideas Aren't Always the Best Ep.20 Question Your Questions: How to Spark Creativity in Your Communication Connect:Premium Signup >>>> Think Fast Talk Smart PremiumEmail Questions & Feedback >>> hello@fastersmarter.ioEpisode Transcripts >>> Think Fast Talk Smart WebsiteNewsletter Signup + English Language Learning >>> FasterSmarter.ioThink Fast Talk Smart >>> LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTubeMatt Abrahams >>> LinkedInChapters:(00:00) - Introduction (02:18) - Defining a Moonshot (04:21) - Building a Learning Machine (07:00) - Learning vs. Productivity (08:35) - Capturing and Sharing Learning (10:49) - Rewarding Habits, Not Outcomes (13:17) - Moonshot Success Stories (16:16) - The Power of Storytelling in Innovation (17:46) - Launching The Moonshot Podcast (19:37) - The Final Three Questions (25:27) - Conclusion ********Thank you to our sponsors.
