Sandra Diaz-Twine Rewatches The Pearl Islands Premiere | Survivor Time Trip The Survivor Time Trip takes a nostalgic turn as Rob Cesternino and Mike Bloom team up for a special trip back to the iconic Survivor: Pearl Islands premiere. Joined by the legendary Sandra Diaz-Twine and fellow Survivor alum Troyzan, this episode dives straight into the unforgettable launch of Season 7. As Sandra revisits her first taste of Survivor glory—watching the episode again for the first time in 23 years—the panel breaks down every wild twist, from the shocking marooning with only the clothes on their backs to Rupert's notorious shoe heist. Rob and the guests don't just stick to the highlights; they explore the behind-the-scenes moments that made the Pearl Islands premiere so memorable. Sandra dishes on her original castaways' journey from Miami to Panama, revealing how the players were blindsided into starting the game amid seasickness, clogged toilets, and a surprise drop-off in a Panamanian fishing village. The gameplay starts fast as Sandra’s Spanish skills give her Drake tribe the upper hand in bartering for supplies, setting the tone for the resourcefulness and social savvy Survivor fans love. The crew covers the hilarious and awkward first challenge, where naked solidarity overshadows strategy, and shares personal memories, alliances, and even wardrobe mistakes that shaped the early days on the island. – Sandra's unique advantage in the village: leveraging her Spanish to outplay the Morgans in the barter for supplies – The notorious moment where Rupert steals shoes from the Morgan tribe (and Sandra loses hers)—and how it shaped tribe dynamics – Behind-the-scenes secrets from the Pearl Islands premiere: what really happened on the boats, and how the players handled the surprise start – The first-night wine-fueled confessional: Fairplay's infamous antics and Sandra's honest first impressions – Raw reflections on forming alliances, first impressions of Rupert and Krista, and dealing with camp hardships (like chafing, wet feet, and shelter woes) As the group reflects on those first clutch days in Panama, they question what would have happened if the Drake tribe had gone to Tribal Council and why first impressions—both in challenges and at camp—can seal your fate. A clinical neuroscientist breaks down the two things that actually make you happy, a quest and a crush, and the brain science behind why a little whimsy is so good for you. Dr. Caroline Leaf sits down with her daughter and producer Dominique to unpack Dominique's theory of happiness: to feel happy, you need a quest and a crush. It sounds playful, but the neuroscience runs deep. Dopamine, norepinephrine, serotonin, cortisol, theta waves, and the resilience networks that form every time you choose a bit of whimsy over the grind. If you have felt flat, stuck in hustle mode, or like the fun drained out of ordinary days, this one is for you. It is a warm, funny, science-backed conversation about how to be happy again by bringing whimsy back on purpose. What you'll learn:- Why a quest and a crush flip your brain into its healthiest, most efficient state- What actually happens in your brain and body when you have a crush (dopamine, norepinephrine, and those butterflies)- Why early infatuation shows serotonin levels that look almost identical to OCD, and why that is completely normal- How to read anxiety as useful data when a quest starts to tip from healthy toward toxic- Why your mind is in charge and your brain carries out its instructions, and what that means for how you feel- How small whimsical moments wire lasting resilience into your brain- Simple ways to turn errands and mundane days into a quest Resources:Dr. Leaf's Website: https://drleaf.comNeurocycle Certification, Clinical: https://drleaf.com/clinical-certificationNeurocycle Certification, Strategist: https://drleaf.com/certified-strategist1:1 Coaching with Dr. Leaf: https://drleaf.com/coaching-1-1Neurocycle App: https://drleaf.com/neurocycle-app Support the sponsors:-Veracity, up to 65% off GLP-1 support: VeracityHealth.co (code DRLEAF) (edited) -OSEA, 10% off your first order sitewide: OSEAMalibu.com (code LEAF) -Shopify, start your free trial: shopify.com/leaf Subscribe so you don't miss the next one. Len Testa and Jim Hill examine a revealing new Disney survey asking whether guests trust DisneyWorld.com, whether the site acts in their best interest, and whether it should be considered the definitive source for vacation planning. They also discuss Disney's questions about Epic Universe, softer attendance and dining demand, and the growing complexity of planning a theme park vacation. Then Jim continues the history of Imagineering's Living Characters Initiative by tracing the path from Mickey's Toon Elevator and Fashion Chat with Cruella de Vil to Stitch's Photophone, the interactive Disneyland experiment that helped pave the way for Turtle Talk with Crush. NEWS • Disney surveys guests about whether they trust DisneyWorld.com to provide transparent, accurate, and helpful vacation information. • New survey questions explore whether Disney's website should be considered the source of truth over independent planning sites. • Disney asks Epic Universe visitors whether Universal added days to their vacations or pulled attendance away from Walt Disney World. • Comcast reports continued strength at Epic Universe alongside softer performance across the broader Universal Orlando Resort. • Slower table-service dining demand raises questions about Lightning Lane habits, pricing, GLP-1 medications, and Disney's future restaurant strategy. FEATURE • Imagineering searches for the right Disney character to lead a real-time interactive experience. • Mickey Mouse proves too polite, while Cruella de Vil proves too intimidating for younger guests. • Stitch's Photophone opens inside Disneyland's Innoventions shortly after the release of Lilo & Stitch. • Cast members use cameras, voice performance, pre-animated movements, and personalized jokes to bring Stitch to life. • The attraction's limited capacity helps Imagineering rethink the format and develop the larger-scale experience that became Turtle Talk with Crush. Enjoy the episode? Send us a text! You leave the comments. I read them. This week I'm going straight into the ones that made me stop scrolling. The bold ones. The angry ones. The ones that questioned everything I teach.A woman still carrying a crush from 30 years ago, wondering why it still hurts.A commenter convinced that saving a marriage means forcing two miserable people to stay together.Someone who swears you could never ask your spouse what makes them feel loved and actually get an answer.A person certain that once a cheater, always a cheater. And one comment about AI that I could not let go of.Here's what I keep coming back to. The future doesn't have to look like the past. But only if you're willing to fix what was actually broken. You can walk away and start over, but if you never deal with what pushed the other person away, you carry it straight into the next relationship. That's the push and the pull. The things you do that make your spouse feel seen. And the things you do that quietly make them feel like you don't love them. Most of us are moving too fast to even notice the difference. Then there's AI. I'm not scared of the technology. I'm scared of what happens when people turn to their phone at 2am instead of to God, to a friend, to the hard and vulnerable conversation with the person sitting right in front of them. I'm scared of a generation losing the skill to actually be a good husband or a good wife.Rant included.Hope included.Because there is always hope.If you're struggling in your marriage, don't wait. Disneyland's bargain evening tickets disappear, Universal Orlando rolls out an unusually affordable Florida resident pass, and Epic Universe lights up the night with Celestial Goodnight. Len and Jim also examine revealing Disney and Universal guest surveys, a fog-screen patent that may be connected to Tropical Americas, and some wonderfully strange theme park history. NEWS • Disneyland's $59 evening tickets have sold out for the remainder of 2026. • Epic Universe debuts Celestial Goodnight, a new nighttime spectacular featuring fountains, fireworks, lighting effects, and the Helios Grand Hotel. • Universal Orlando introduces a $199 Florida resident pass offering unlimited visits to Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure through December 16. • New Disney and Universal surveys raise questions about Lightning Lane planning, hotel benefits, dining revenue, and the value of Universal Express. • A Disney patent describes a 360-degree image projected onto a laminar-flow fog screen, potentially for a future animal-filled attraction. FEATURE • Universal's rapid transformation of popular movies into theme park attractions forced Disney to reconsider its traditionally slow development process. • Finding Nemo became Pixar's biggest hit to date, leaving Disney Parks searching for a faster way to bring Nemo and his friends to guests. • Before a permanent attraction could be built, Disney experimented with a tiny drivable Nemo character in the Magic Kingdom and at the Transportation and Ticket Center. • Imagineering's solution became Turtle Talk with Crush, a groundbreaking interactive experience developed in roughly ten months and still entertaining guests today. China's new ethnic unity law has taken effect, and it's going to be used to justify and expand transnational repression overseas in combination with existing laws on promoting “separatism,” said Guermantes Lailari, a retired U.S. Air Force lieutenant colonel and longtime China researcher.“In this new ethnic law, they encourage people to report on other Chinese who are not promoting ‘unity.'” Lailari said.“So if you're a Chinese person in the United States promoting Taiwan, they can prosecute you in absentia, and the court will have a ruling. And they can put out a red notice or Interpol notice on that person who's overseas, and if that person ever travels to a country that China has bilateral extradition laws with, that person can be detained and transferred to China,” Lailari added.Lailari moved to Taiwan a few years ago to study the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) up close.“This place,” he said, “is being attacked every day, whether it's cyber, cognitive warfare, media warfare, economic warfare, diplomatic warfare.”In our interview, he argues that the CCP poses the most serious long-term threat to Western civilization—not just militarily, but through a combination of legal, economic, psychological, and intelligence operations. In this episode, we dive into why the CCP is fixated on taking Taiwan, and what the global fallout of such a takeover would look like.Views expressed in this video are opinions of the host and the guest, and do not necessarily reflect the views of The Epoch Times.

Check out the full episode: https://greatness.lnk.to/1532DM Bestselling author and speaker Mel Robbins debunks the myth that you need confidence and courage to make changes, advising instead that action precedes motivation. She details how we make emotionally-driven decisions, stifling growth by overanalyzing. Robbins shares how she created her "5-second rule" to push past hesitation and fear by counting down then acting. This habit trains the mind to override doubts, building confidence through small daily wins. Robbins explains hesitation signals danger to our brains, but counting down triggers focus and conscious choice to lean into growth. She emphasizes seizing power in moments of decision to stop negative patterns, transforming life through tiny steps outside your comfort zone. Sign up for the Greatness newsletter! In this interview segment, investigative journalist Christian Parenti tells Jimmy that modern U.S. policy toward Cuba is driven less by opposition to socialism and more by Cuba's continued sovereignty and symbolic resistance to American influence, despite decades of economic liberalization. He discusses how Cuba has increasingly embraced private enterprise while U.S. sanctions and embargoes continue to intensify, limiting investment and contributing to severe economic hardship. The conversation also explores Cuba's historical conflicts with the CIA, including intelligence operations, the Bay of Pigs, and Cold War-era tensions, as factors shaping current U.S. policy. The interview concludes with a discussion of whether normalized relations are possible, the risks of escalating conflict, and broader questions about U.S. foreign policy and intelligence operations. Plus segments on Tucker Carlson going HAM on the COVID vaccine and actress Mayim Bialik's crashout after seeing a pro-Palestinian t-shirt. Also featuring Kurt Metzger and Stef Zamorano!
