We're four life long Panthers fans, coming from four different areas of the country, to give you the latest flaming hot and burning cold takes on the state of the Carolina Panthers every week.
Your favorite Panthers draft class is getting together to talk about the 2021 NFL Draft. Panthers went in a completely different direction under the new regime. How do we think it turned out? What was good, what was bad and what will pan out? We break it down, don’t miss it.
This episode we look at the Panthers options when it comes to the draft. Will we take an Offensive Lineman or trade back for more options? Also, our thoughts on The Darnold behind center.
The 2020 Panthers season has finally, and sadly, come to a close. The Panthers won 5 games and there was a lot to be sad about, but there were some bright spots. We review the season, review how we as a podcast did in preseason predictions, and do a little bit of looking ahead to next season. Thanks for sticking with us through a rough year. Keep Pounding.
Panthers won over the Washington Football Team for probably the only time in history. The win had major implications on the future draft position of the Panthers. Panthers dropped from the 3rd pick to the 9th. How much does that mean? We get deep into that and then look a little at the game against the Saints, which will not be fun.
Three grinches got together to break down what went wrong against the Broncos, spoiler alert, a lot. We have some historical trivia based on the most historical teams in the NFL. Finally we break down who is going to have a Merry Christmas and who will find a lump of coal in their stocking as the Black and Blue heads north to the Winter Wonderland of Snowy Lambeau Field.
The Panthers lost in heartbreaking fashion yet again, despite the individual effort by Jeremy Chinn. The offense looked rudderless and the defense (aside from the two Chinn plays) got beat consistently. Were there any bright spots in this game? Is there hope against the Broncos this week? Check out the Sam Mills episode and see what we have to say.
Panthers shocked the world with a win, and a shut out to boot. We're breaking down the game and deciding if it's an anomaly or if we can keep this going next week against the Vikings. Check it out and Keep Pounding.
Panthers lost again this week in much more shocking and pathetic fashion than usual. The Bucs ran (literally) all over us and made our defense look like it should be in the XFL. We're breaking down the specifics of the loss and looking ahead to what is likely to be another loss against the Lions. Keep Pounding?
We dropped a very tightly contested game against the K.C. Chiefs last week. There are no moral victories in the NFL, but this was about as close as you get to one. A strong offensive showing coupled with a relatively mediocre defensive showing leads us to question where we'll be for the rest of the season. Oh, and we've got the GOAT coming up next week. We break down what happened last week and what to expect for the game against the Bucs. Let's GOOOOOOOO!!!
Panthers blew a lead against one of the worst teams in the league, a team that is used to blowing leads against other teams. It's painful and inexplicable, especially as we cruise into an absolute butt-whooping next week against the Chefs. It may seem hopeless, but tune in anyways. Keep Pounding.
Another Saints game, another dissection by Drew Brees. We didn't look that bad overall, but our defense didn't step up. We're breaking down the Saints game, someone runs away with trivia, and a look ahead to the Thursday Night primetime game against the Failclowns. Hurry up and listen before the game!
Well, our 3-game win streak went up in smoke, and we have questions all over the field. Despite only losing by a score it felt like there were a lot of problems. Luckily, we have a chance to make up some ground with a divisional game against the Saints in enemy territory. Come along for a ride with us, learn some fun Panthers defensive history, and see what we predict for this week ...and if John will actually be sober before kickoff.
Don’t look now but the Panthers are 3-2 and just got another Failclown coach fired. We actually looked like a good team and seem to be working together as a unit (except our rush defense). We’re breaking downs the highs and lows from the Falcons game, dropping TWO trivia questions, and making a dumb prediction about the Bears game. Keep Pounding!
Another win! Whoa, two wins in a row for the Panthers, and they actually looked like they deserved it! We're breaking down the victory over the Cardinals and what we like about how the team looked going forward. We are looking ahead to the Failclowns game and trying to figure out if we can keep this train running or if we're going to crash in ATL again.
We did it Panthers fans! We waited almost a calendar year, but we finally got to see another Panthers victory. We didn't deserve to win and got very VERY lucky at the end, but it's still a W. We break down what was good and what was bad about the Chargers win and then look ahead to the Cardinals. Can we keep up the momentum? What do you think?
The Panthers drop to 0-2 after another mediocre showing on the field. But we all knew that, so we're here for some fun takes and to give some happy Super Bowl history about a GOOD defense. The Chargers are up next and we'll be facing a franchise that we're historically very strong against. Let's break it down and predict some over/unders. Also... Robo has given a key member of our team a new, fun, and refreshingly anatomically correct nickname... Listen to find out!
Much to no one's real surprise, the Panthers took their first loss of the season in week one. We all predicted a win, but no one is surprised that we lost. We're less upset about the loss as we are that no one really seemed to do anything. We break down the Raiders game and look ahead to the Bucs game, which is sure to be a good time. Keep Pounding.
John, Robo, and Trip(with a guest appearance by Sean) get back together just in time for Week 1 of the 2020 NFL Season. In this action packed episode, we hear a breakdown of the final 53 man roster(s), a game by game schedule prediction, bold predictions, and an indepth look at Sunday's game against the Las Vegas Raiders.
It's been awhile since we recorded, and there has been a lot that has happened with the Panthers while not a lot has gone on with sports in general. We're talking about how COVID is going to impact the season, what we're expecting out of the Panthers in training camp, how we think the schedule looks, and more. Tune in to get your first NFL fix in a while!
Panthers set an all-time draft record with all seven of their picks going to the defensive side of the ball. Makes sense since our defense was trash. We’re breaking it all down and talking about who is going to pan out. Keep Pounding!
Cash Money Christian just became the highest paid RB in history and he deserves it... or does he? Big debate here on the value of the contract. Then we’re diving into the draft and chatting about the team’s biggest needs, what we want them to do, and what we think they’ll do. Listen in, then sound off with us on Twitter.
In keeping with PanthersCast fashion, we get to have another downer of an episode! After 8 straight loses and the retirement of Luke Kuechly, the Panthers have unceremoniously cut ties with QB1 Cam Newton and Greg Olsen. Not only that, basically the whole defense has signed with other teams, we made a terrible trade for Trai Turner, and we have only signed a bunch of scrubs. So yeah, hop on into this episode and commiserate with us as we try to Keep Pounding...
The guys get together to break down all the big Panthers news over the past two weeks including the formation of Matt Rhule's NFL coaching staff including a lot of his assistants from Baylor and the coaching world's wunderkind Joe Brady. We also reflect on the retirement of Luke Kuechly, his future, and his greatest moments in Black and Blue
The Panthers season is mercifully over. We ended it in historically bad fashion and it's just good to be done. Now we look forward to the future. In this episode, we're reviewing our pre-season bold predictions, talking about Matt Rhule and getting excited for some changes. Join us for the final episode of season one of PanthersCast!
We lost to the Seahawks and looked terrible. What else is new? We’re also going to lost to the Colts or screw up our draft by winning. Oh well. But this week we do get to talk about Will Grier coming in!! We’re also talking Pro Bowl snubs and we’re each advocating for a new head coach. We’re breaking down four of the top candidates to land the job. Who do you think it will be? Hint: they’ll probably make more than $75,000.
Don't look now, but the Panthers are on another incredible streak! We are going to manage another second half of the season with only one win. We got DOMINATED by the lowly Falcons and looked terrible in every aspect of the game. Not a good look for Perry Fewell or any of the players. Look guys, this is honestly a pretty depressing episode. So please, jump in here and join us in our misery and get all the feels. We're also talking about the upcoming Seahawks game where, spoiler alert, we all expect to us to lose. Cheers!
We lost... again. To a two win team... again. We got destroyed by the Redskins and BREAKING NEWS the Panthers fired Ron Rivera because of it. This episode is slammed with talk about Ron's tenure as our coach and what we might do from here based on what Tepper said in his interviews. This is a very interesting episode and for once this month we don't have to just gripe and complain. Big episode with major news. Check it out and share with your friends.
Another week, another crushing defeat. Seems like the second half collapse is in full swing for the second year in a row. The sad thing is that we actually played well for a lot of the game, but we missed kicks, gave up huge yardage plays and couldn't get into the endzone from a yard out. Drew Brees led another game winning drive against us and we lost. We're breaking down this game, picking someone to fire, and then looking at the Redskins game. Is there a chance we might actually squeak out another win?
We got destroyed... again. This was a terrible loss that did everything except mathematically eliminate us from the playoffs. The Panthers were dominated in every aspect of the game and Kyle Allen was atrocious. CMC must be so mad that he's on this team. We're getting big mad about this loss and the implications, then we're talking about how we're definitely going to lose to the Saints this week. This is going to be a super fun podcast!
We avoided the second half slide (at least for now) with a big win against the Titans. We dominated on pretty much every aspect, even though in the end we only won by 10 and they had a chance to be closer. We're breaking down how we won and how that's going to roll into a really big test next week against the Packers and a Super Bowl contender. We're also (finally) really diving into the Cam Newton drama after it was announced yesterday that he's going to IR and Kyle Allen will be our starter the rest of the year. What does that mean now and what does that mean for the future? We're giving our hot takes in this episode. This is not one to miss.
All good things must come to an end. In this case, it was our four game win streak, Kyle Allen's undefeated streak, and his interception-free career. This was a terrible game for the Panthers in all three phases of the game. We try to break it down and figure out what happened and what we can do from here. Then, we're looking ahead to the Titans game and trying to figure out if we can get back on the horse or if we are going to collapse in the second half of the season like we did last year. What do you think Panthers fans? Download to find out.
Bye Bye Bye. Not a whole lot of news this week from the Panthers during the bye week. We're talking about some minor special teams signings and then looking at our upcoming matchup with the 49ers. They are one of two undefeated teams left, but they haven't faced very good competition. What do the Panthers need to do to win this game and how do we think it's going to turn out. Stay tuned!
Shout out to any PanthersCast listeners that get the reference in today's title. Also shoutout to the Panthers for balling out this week against the Bucs! We looked awesome. 7 turnovers and a bajillion sacks, plus the offense was clicking to the tune of 37 points. This was a much needed revenge win and we're 1-0 in London for probably a long time. We're chatting about the game, plus also looking back at our preseason bold predictions and record predictions and seeing where we stand and what how we think we'll do the rest of the season.
Yo boys and girls we got another W against the Jags this weekend. Our first win at home and it feels so good! Run CMC is an absolute monster and it's just not even fair. Our defense looked awesome and, even though we tried to give them 15 Hail Mary's at the end of the game, we pulled out a much needed win to step over .500 on the season. Now it's on to London. We're breaking down the Jags win and the upcoming revenge game against the Bucs. Tune in and share with your friends!
Another week, another Panthers victory. We're breaking down the win in Houston with some insight from the three of us who were there and Sean who was on the couch. We're also jumping deep into the upcoming Jaguars victory and talking about the elements of that game that are going to be unique. The Hall of Honor ceremony is happening too, so congrats to Jake, 89, WW and... well Jordan Gross doesn't really have a nickname. Congrats fellas, Keep Pounding everyone!
We all knew it. There was no doubt. No one at all had any thoughts that anything else would happen. WE WON! An epic performance by Kyle Allen leading the Panthers to victory. The defense absolutely balled out and showed why we can be the best in the league. We're breaking down the game, talking about the Cam situation, and looking ahead to week four and the Houston Texans. Stay tuned to the end, because you'll have a chance to win a beer...
Welp, another week, another Panthers loss. What happened? We thought we had this one locked up and then we lost our way. What is next for Cam, Ron and the rest of the gang? The PanthersCast crew has their most heated debate episode to date. Whose side are you on?
Week One is in the books and it felt so good to see the Panthers on the field, even if it ended in a loss... That's ok. There were lots of good takeaways and it was kind of expected. We analyze the game and look ahead to Thursday Night Football against the Yuccaneers. Let's go Panthers!
It's finally time! We have reached the end and the beginning! No more waiting. Can you tell we're excited??? We're breaking down the 53 man roster and who we are surprised was cut. We're making bold predictions about how we think players will do and we're discussing the week one game against the Rams. KEEP POUNDING!!
We just lost to the Patriots and it looked pretty bad. We didn't execute and that's not a good sign. Oh yea, and Cam got hurt. We're talking how that is going to impact our season as we go game by game for all 16 games and giving our predictions. Which one of us gives the Panthers the best record and who thinks we're missing the playoffs. Tune in to find out!
The Bills game was straight trash. But, it probably doesn’t matter. Does the “dress rehearsal” against New England matter either? We discuss how much we really expect of the starters that haven’t played at all. We’re also talking a lot of debate between who is going to make the team, specifically looking at QB, WR, RB and K. Keep Pounding!
We got our first win! We wiped the Bears in what was basically the most worthless game ever. But hey, it's a win. We spend a lot of time this week talking about the Bills because they are basically Panthers North. They have scraped the bottom of our barrel for a while and we're practicing with them this week. Let's break it down.
That's right Panthers fans, football is back tomorrow! We're talking about what we're looking forward to in the game and talking about training camp. Speaking of training camp, we have a new starter! Tre Boston has joined the squad and immediately became a starting safety. Are we happy about that? Listen in for all that and a trivia question that stumps the whole crowd. Plus, Deangelo Furman joins the group.
There was a TON of news and noise this week surrounding the Panthers. We're firing off on Deangelo Williams for disrespecting Cam, and we're firing off on NFL players for disrespecting our guys in the NFL 100. We're breaking down the first week of training camp and figuring out what was true news, and what was just a bunch of noise. Let's goooooooooo. **and yeah, we saw they signed Tre Boston... that answers Sean's questions about why Cockrell is playing safety...
HUGE week this week! We are breaking down All or Nothing and how great it was to see some football. Then we’re looking to training camp, which starts today, and giving our takes on what we’re looking forward too, our expectations, our breakout stars and some off the wall takes.
This week, we're talking up all the feels from the Wesley Walls and Steve Smith "The Hall" videos. Then we switch gears to... futbol?? Also, we're talking about the best trades in Panthers history. Who did we give away and get that made the most impact on the team. Plus, John speaks Spanish again...
We Keep Pounding with the Panthers all-time defense this week. There are a lot of guys that are getting shafted because our defensive history is just so good! Listen as we go position by position and determine the best defensive players in the Panthers history.
This week, we're creating our all-time Panthers offense. We're going around the horn and each picking three positions, creating the PanthersCast all-time offense. There are some HEATED moments and debates, plus John speaks Spanish. Tell us if you disagree with our choices!
The PanthersCast are reflecting on what Cam's recovery means *IN CONTEXT*. Also, they discuss what the renovations to BofA may portend, and what's news and noise for this week's mandatory minicamp. Is Andre Levrone news or noise? Probably noise.. Strap in for Episode 7. Let's talk Panthers minicamp!
@Geraldini93 shocked us all by signing with the Panthers. We’re breaking down his signing and ranking it against the other best and worst free agent signings in Panthers history. We’re also talking about “SpyCam” and who we need to prioritize resigning next year. Also, wattup Stuven.
