This week's Mental Man Monday features a raw and honest conversation between Izzy Baker and special guest Derek Alexander Scott, also known as DScott (@dscott._). Together, they unpack the intersection of manhood, media, cancel culture, and mental health. The episode opens with a recap of PSA: The Mental Health Podcast's Season 9 premiere, As a Man, You're Not Him (Yet). DScott shares how that episode hit deep, especially the parts about commitment issues, emotional stagnation, and men being stuck in cycles they never address. He reveals that he had to run it back twice and talks about how these topics come up constantly in his real-life circle. From there, the conversation shifts to the recent Jonathan Majors interview on Cam Newton's Funky Friday podcast.Izzy raises difficult questions. Was what Majors went through a humiliation ritual? Would the public reaction have been different if his accuser wasn't white? Can a man who's fallen still be trusted to lead? In the final segment, the episode takes on an even heavier tone with the story of Kyren Lacy, the LSU football player who tragically took his own life the night before his court date for a fatal hit-and-run.Izzy and DScott dive into the emotional weight of guilt, the silence so many young men live with, and the spiritual truth that healing requires more than just therapy. Sometimes, it requires God. This livestream isn't just conversation. It's a mental health check-in. It's a faith-based reflection on what men are going through when no one's watching. And it's a call for more real conversations like this—where accountability, healing, and hope meet.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/p-s-a-the-mental-health-podcast--5520511/support.

Tyrone suggested LeBron James's scoring title, while Ricky pointed to Tom Brady's record of throwing touchdowns to 98 different receivers. Sylvana mentioned Cy Young's impressive win record of 511. (20:46-32:51) Our discussion then shifts to active players who might have the potential to surpass some of these seemingly unbreakable records. One listener proposed that Jalen Hurts could break Cam Newton's rushing touchdown record. (33:51-45:33) The weekend series against the Dodgers was a challenge, yet the Phillies emerged victorious. While challenges are inherent in the game, they successfully navigated the difficulties presented by the reigning champions. Recorded: March 31, 2025 On this episode of Bussin’ With The Boys, Will Compton and Taylor Lewan sit down with Luke Kuechly—NFL legend, Carolina Panthers icon, and one of the greatest linebackers to ever play the game. Known for his elite football IQ and instinctual play, Luke opens up about his early retirement from the NFL due to multiple concussions, giving raw and honest insight into the toll the game can take. As well as his time playing with superstars Cam Newton, and Christian McCaffrey. Before the interview with Luke, Will and Taylor react to the news from the NFL owners meetings that they will vote on a potential ban of the Tush Push, popularized by the Philadelphia Eagles en route to their Super Bowl victory over the Kansas City Chiefs last season. The conversation starts with Luke’s early love for football and the moment he knew the sport was his calling. He shares why he chose Boston College, what made it feel like the right fit, and what it was like training at IMG Academy alongside top-tier talent leading up to the NFL Draft. Luke gives a behind-the-scenes look at his NFL Combine experience and the emotions surrounding his draft day with the Carolina Panthers. From rookie-year adjustments and getting "Mossed" by Julio Jones to a hilarious story about not owning a TV, Luke keeps it real with the boys. He reflects on the veteran linebackers who mentored him and how they shaped his mental and physical approach to the game. Luke and Will also break down some of his most iconic plays in the NFL, offering a deep dive into how he could seemingly read quarterbacks' minds and always be one step ahead. He explained the dispute that led to their conflict and how he toured with TK on the Live Nation circuit, only to be paid $750 per show. Charleston then spoke about his decision to quit drinking alcohol because he felt it interfered with his stage routine during comedy performances. He also discussed his recent arrest for animal cruelty, which involved playing around and shooting a cat with a water-filled mace gun. The interview took an unexpected turn when Charleston spoke about the passing of a rapper from Texas named Lil Ronnie. He shared the tragic story of the shooting at a car wash and his subsequent back-and-forth with the mother of his child, who had been seen online dancing with a stack of money at a candlelight vigil. Charleston also addressed the derogatory remarks he had made towards Lil Ronnie's baby mother. Charleston responded to Gillie The King's recent remarks on Shannon Sharpe's Club Shay Shay podcast, where Gillie expressed his refusal to accept Charleston's apology for his comments about his son. In the final segment, Charleston discussed his thoughts on President Donald Trump's accomplishments so far. He also talked about the recent back-and-forth between Stephen A Smith and LeBron James regarding Stephen A's remarks about LeBron James' son, Bronny. Charleston then discussed his thoughts on The Lil Meech and 50 Cent situation, debating whether 50 Cent is a bully. He then delved into the recent divorce settlement between Iman Shumpert and Teyana Taylor, highlighting the challenges men face in the divorce system. Next, he spoke about R. Kelly's residuals challenge from Chris Brown via a jail phone. Charleston reaffirmed his belief in Jay Z's innocence during the sexual assault claims, citing the accuser's audio recording of lying about the situation. He then addressed the recent comments from Hollywood A-list actor Anthony Mackie, asserting that success is not earned but rather given. Charleston also commented on the Diddy case, where CNN reported that the original video of him assaulting Cassie had been altered and subsequently destroyed, fueling speculation about Diddy's potential innocence. He shared his thoughts on the recent Tank Davis vs Lamont Roach boxing match. Charleston discussed his beef with Cam Newton, alleging that Cam tried to exploit him and portray him as inferior. He also revealed behind-the-scenes issues with Shannon Sharpe, explaining why he hasn't been a guest on Club Shay Shay. Additionally, he discussed his reasons for not being on The Breakfast Club, citing Charlemagne the God and DJ Envy's disapproval. He discussed his teenage snitch video being revealed and his thoughts on it. Charleston hinted at an upcoming interview on the Joe Rogan podcast. He also spoke about the WNBA LA Sparks allowing men to practice with them to prepare for the upcoming season. Finally, he discussed his relationship with Say Cheese TV and his vision for the future of Charleston White. https://www.youtube.com/c/BadSpeakersTV https://www.instagram.com/badspeakerspodcast https://www.tiktok.com/@badspeakerspodcast https://twitter.com/BadSpeakers https://www.facebook.com/badspeakerspodcast

When are we going to start taking black quarterbacks seriously? Yes, Jalen Hurts has become the fourth-ever black quarterback to win a Super Bowl. However, four of the last six Super Bowls were won by black quarterbacks. Jason asks the question: When do we stop acting like the special-needs kids did something remarkable? Even though this Super Bowl was a clunker and borderline unwatchable, Fox, ESPN, and the NFL are reporting that TV ratings indicate this was the most-watched Super Bowl ever. Lies, lies, and more lies. Did you truly think the halftime show was entertaining? No? Deion and Ryan Clark did. They loved it. It all seems like a bad dream. This year's Super Bowl will be remembered as the day the NFL began its decline to NBA-level relevance. Steve Kim joins "Fearless" to discuss the NBA's most relevant story of the past five years. The NBA rebellion has begun. Dallas Mavericks fans are irate over the trade of Luka Dončić. Mavs loyalists are starting to realize how terribly they have been slighted. Mark Cuban is getting cussed out by fans, and the fans are storming the gates. Will we see an NBA revolution? Last but certainly not least, Shemeka Michelle joins the show to address Dank “The Tank” DeMoss' most recent interview on "The Breakfast Club," where she claims that we should all pander to fat people the way we do to the LGBTQ community. The NBA is so bad that not even Caitlin Clark wants to be associated with it. As the National Basketball Association continues to decline, more and more people are distancing themselves from the once-heralded association. Whitlock points out that poor leadership has led to the plateau in viewership the NBA has seen recently. Adam Silver has no idea how to get the train back on the tracks, as he even suggests that teams should play only 10-minute quarters, just like the WNBA. Even worse, Caitlin Clark turned down the NBA's offer to participate in a three-point shooting contest during All-Star Weekend. Someone better grab a life raft, because this ship is sinking. Steve Kim joins Jason to weigh in on the NBA's decline while also covering the unrivaled league's surprising ratings, Bill Belichick wanting to rename the Lombardi Trophy after Tom Brady, Joe Montana saying Dan Marino is the best quarterback of all time, Cam Newton stirring the pot and framing Dwight Howard as gay, and the new movement to boycott the Super Bowl. Later, T.J. Moe joins "Fearless" to debate whether Tony Dungy running for Senate in Michigan is a good idea. The former Super Bowl-winning coach is currently part of NBC's "Football Night in America." Assuming Dungy's Christian faith aligns him with the Republican MAGA movement, a career in politics would almost certainly end his TV career, especially at NBC.
