Tinnitus is typically described as the perception of noise or ringing in the ears. For some, it can be hissing, roaring, buzzing, clicking. It can even be in tune with one's heartbeat. In Australia, it affects about 15 to 20% of people. About 1 in 3 people in Australia suffer from tinnitus at some point in their life. About 1 in 6 have constant tinnitus symptoms. In this episode, three guests share their varied experiences of chronic tinnitus: what it sounds like, how it came about, and what they do to manage it.
