Well, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 campaign has been playable for a weekend, and the reviews are worse than I expected. The COD MW3 campaign is so short. Virtually every Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 review is extremely negative and critical. Most of this centers around how short the campaign is, in addition to the open combat missions being incredibly bland and disappointing. My current COD MW3 review is nothing short of a disaster. It is clear now more than ever than Modern Warfare 3 is DLC and nothing more. The news about Bungie layoffs hit in waves, and now we have substantial information from sources at the company. We will likely see Destiny 2 The Final Shape delayed along with the Marathon release date landing in 2025. I had no plans on covering this but the story became too large to ignore. I haven't covered Destiny the game since early 2021 and this will be focused on what happened with the Destiny 2 layoffs and delays and not the gameplay or content. While initial theories were that PlayStation was the cause of this, it was primarily caused by missed revenue targets and lowered interest in Destiny 2 Final Shape. The latest Xbox news recently broke that we will see Xbox banning third party controllers in an effort to stop unlicensed controllers from being used. With Xbox banning third party accessories certain important accessibility controllers as well as fighting game controllers will stop working. Obviously this is probably aimed at Call of Duty cheaters now that the Xbox Activision deal is complete. With COD cheaters being a huge problem, Xbox may be taking aim them, but it is turning off well known adapters and controllers. Most notably the Brook Wingman XB 2 Converter and the Brook XB Fighting board won't work any longer which means other controllers like he Quadstick FPS game controller will stop working. This change is obviously well intended to stop cheating, but the unintended consequence is blocking legitimate controllers. What should Xbox do? Can every game be an RPG or is the term being over used? It is official, Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty changed my mind about the game as a whole. While Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 did a lot for the game, the expansion does even more. My Cyberpunk 2077 review 2023 is completely different than my previous impressions and opinion about the game. My Phantom Liberty review is almost entirely positive after over 10 hours of the content. Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty gameplay delivers a great experience and I plan to continue playing the entire game. Does this mean that CDPR has redeemed themselves? Is Baldur's Gate 3 the new standard for big games or even just RPG style games? My time with Starfield gameplay is slowly winning me over. I still feel that my Starfield review is in process and my criticisms haven't faded, but I now want to at least finish the Starfield campaign. If you are looking for a Starfield review from some outlets you will have to wait a bit longer. The Eurogamer Starfield review in particular will be late given how they didn't get a code but then did. The latest Diablo 4 news has me saying that the king is dead.
