This episode is not as strict on terminology as other trick theory episodes due to the sheer infinity and informality of variations, which truly is a big part of what gives tricking its essence. Frank and Jason shift transitions to the sequential type in this episode. Sequential transitions are defined by transitions that use both feet, but never both of them at the same time (unified). Although these transitions are more technical, they are more simply defined than single leg transitions in that they use foot ordering as the determinant of what the transition is. Below are all of the sequential transitions and their respective foot patterns. Note that a 1 represents the first foot that touches down while a 2 represents the second foot that touches down, independent of whether it is the left or right foot. The boys start out with single leg transitions, which is exactly what it sounds like! Transitioning from one trick to another using only a single leg. There are three ways to divide types of single leg transitions; swings, non-swings, and carrythrough is in it's own category. These can be further subdivided to get to specific types of swings or non-swings.Swings: Front and Back Swings Wrap and GM SwingsNon-Swings: Rapid MisslegCompound: CarrythroughExamples: Ethan Turner doing "muggleslayer" 9: https://www.instagram.com/p/B9ysaJdHkg0/Credits: Frank Vazquez (Host): https://www.instagram.com/frank_vazquez_/ Jason Connor (Host): https://www.instagram.com/jasonc1260/ Steve Rogers (Music): https://soundcloud.com/og-juan-shinobi Steven French (Logo): https://www.instagram.com/covid.tohzt/ Alex Hunter (Logo): https://www.instagram.com/originalbeing1/

Frank and Jason are joined by their first guest Jeremy Price. The boys take a step away from trick theory to discuss what makes a trick perfect and whether that concept even exists. The conversation goes on many tangents; topics discussed include social pressures, aesthetics, utility of a trick, existentialism, the concept of awesomeness, pragmatism, and who would win in a battle between Plato and Aristotle. If you love philosophy and tricking, this is absolutely the episode for you! Jason and Frank explore the intricacies of landing stances which are more complicated than they may seem at first! Landing stance is always related to direction of momentum and where your foot is with respect to DOM determines what stance you are landing in. There are four single leg landing stances that each take up 90 degrees of rotation, which accounts for a full circle relative to DOM. The four stances and their respective rotations for left twisters are listed below: Hyper: Right leg facing directly away from DOM up until 90 degrees short of facing DOM Mega: Left leg facing 90 degrees short of DOM up until aligned with DOM Semi/Ultra: Right leg aligned with DOM up until 90 degrees past DOM Complete: Left leg 90 degrees past DOM up until facing directly away from DOMBeyond this, fake landing stances and other more nuanced topics are discussed!Credits: Frank Vazquez (Host): https://www.instagram.com/frank_vazquez_/ Jason Connor (Host): https://www.instagram.com/jasonc1260/ Steve Rogers (Music): https://soundcloud.com/og-juan-shinobi Steven French (Logo): https://www.instagram.com/covid.tohzt/ Alex Hunter (Logo): https://www.instagram.com/originalbeing1/
