This episode is brought to you by Audible, Ancient + Brave, Strong Coffee Company and Fatty15. Today we welcome relationship expert Amy Chan to break down the science of heartbreak, attachment patterns, and modern dating, revealing why breakups feel like addiction withdrawal and how high-performers often sabotage their healing by avoiding emotions instead of processing them. You'll learn how to stop ruminating on your ex, rebuild your identity after a breakup, and create new neural pathways through intentional action, as well as why strategies like "staying friends" or "winning the breakup" often backfire. Amy also shares her dating funnel framework, helping listeners understand how to move from casual dating to committed relationships while avoiding common pitfalls like confusing preferences with dealbreakers. This conversation is a powerful guide for anyone looking to move on faster, date smarter, and build healthier, more conscious relationships. ME ENCUENTRAS ENInstagramWeb AlkimiaWeb Marcela Hede  YouTube  Facebook

Most people get into things when they're not equipped for the journey or for what's on the other side! The mindset you have before the journey/quest, once you've made it, you still won't be equipped to stay. It's one major reason so many people are being labeled with many mental health issues. They were never equipped for the journey! Many people are put on pedestals mainly by those below them on the pole, but just because a person is on a pedelstal doesn't mean they're ready for it or can handle it, and it's clear many can't! We see this truth every day! All money isn't good! Many statuses and positions are not worth losing integrity and respect! Most people aren't mentally ready for what they're seeking, chasing, or have received and it's why they struggle even more. The lives of millions of people are far worse off because of their own mindsets and what they've allowed and accepted! Many people let money make them instead of them just making money! Most people will never have peace because they're mentally and spiritually broken and when it's the case they're affected mind, body, and soul!Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/relationships-and-relatable-life-chronicles--4126439/support.

In this week's episode of Source Clarity Podcast, we explore a powerful shift that can change what you attract into your life: taking people off the pedestal. When we elevate others, relationships, or outcomes above ourselves, we unknowingly give away our power and disrupt our natural magnetism. In this conversation, we talk about why this happens, how it shows up in everyday life, and what begins to change when you reclaim your inner authority. When the pedestal dissolves, your energy shifts — and the things you desire begin to move toward you in a completely different way.Questions on anything like next steps, on this episode or anything else? #339: All month long on The Business of You series, we've been talking about building, but what happens when you feel the pull to walk away? That's what we're covering in our final installment with Essence Iman, ex-founder, writer, and the voice behind Slutty Founder, one of the most honest and entertaining spaces on the internet for real talk about business.Essence built an award-winning, cult-favorite body care brand from just $200. She gained industry recognition, built a real community around it, and then did something most people couldn't wrap their heads around: she walked away, happily and on purpose. In this conversation, we get into what it really means to trust yourself enough to close a chapter — and why that decision doesn't have to come with a catastrophe attached to it. We talk about the founder mentality and what all of us, business owners or not, can learn from it. Essence breaks down why you should never take yourself off the pedestal, what it means to tell your story like you know how you got there, and why "you know what you're doing" might be the most underrated piece of advice. We also get into the beauty industry — why it's become so crowded, why it continues to be such a difficult place to build, and where Essence thinks the real opportunities are for women ready to build something different. This episode is for you if:You're questioning whether it's time to walk away from something — a job, a business, a chapter. You struggle with imposter syndrome or have a hard time owning your wins out loud. You've been thinking about starting a business but feel locked into the idea that it has to look a certain way.You want to understand what a portfolio career actually looks like in practice. You need someone to remind you that your success is not an accident. You're building something and want the kind of real, unfiltered founder perspective you're not going to find in a business book.Episode Links:Learn more about Essence & Slutty Founder, go to sluttyfounder.comFollow Essence on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/essenceiman/Follow Essence on TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@essenceiman?lang=enSubscribe to Slutty Founder on Substack: https://www.sluttyfounder.com/Sponsors:Free People Movement: Visit fpmovement.com to shop their full line of activewear.Rula: Rula makes it easier to find licensed therapists and psychiatrists who are actually in-network with your insurance. This week's episode is one I won't forget. Jeremy Schaaf reached out to me back in December with an idea—to build a custom pedestal base for my Iowa buck. What started as a simple message turned into something way bigger. Jeremy designed it, built it by hand, and then drove 13 hours from South Dakota to my house… just to surprise me with it. In a world where a lot of things feel transactional, this was the complete opposite. Jeremy is not only an elite woodworker, but he's the kind of guy you don't come across very often anymore—genuine, humble, and as real as it gets. We get into his background, his passion for woodworking, his love for hunting, and what drives him to do things at a different level. This one is about more than just a mount—it's about people. Chloe draws from her personal experiences—her journey of love, family, and healing—as the foundation of her music.Chloe's debut album, “Bloom in the Break”, has reached millions of streams across platforms. The creative process for the album began with over 70 songs, which were eventually curated into 12 tracks that best represent Chloe's emotional journey. The album reflects her past experiences: the wounds, the lessons, and the process of rising up that have gradually shaped who she is today. Through Bloom in the Break, Chloe demonstrates artistic maturity by addressing themes of love, trauma, anxiety, loss, and self-worth. What does it really mean to “build a platform” as a Christian writer—and why does the idea make so many of us uncomfortable? In this episode, I kick off a new season focused on building your platform without losing your soul. I lay the foundation by answering a fundamental question many writers wrestle with: Why can't I just write? You'll learn why a platform isn't about self-exaltation or chasing followers, but about creating a practical, faithful way for readers to actually find and benefit from your words. In This Episode, You'll Learn:* Why writing for readers means helping readers find you* The critical difference between a platform and a pedestal* How Christians often misunderstand platform-building—and why that matters* Why a platform is about logistics, not ego* What a writing platform actually is (and what it isn't)* Why your email list is the true hub of an effective platform* Practical next steps if you're starting from zero—or feeling overwhelmedKey Takeaway:Building a platform isn't about putting yourself above others. It's about stewarding your message well so the people who need your words can hear them.Simple Next Steps:If you're ready to begin (or refine) your platform, consider starting here:* Choose an email service provider (like Mailchimp, MailerLite, Kit, FloDesk, or Substack)* Decide how often you can realistically communicate with your readers* Create a helpful lead magnet that serves your audience and invites them onto your email listNeed Personal Guidance? If platform-building feels confusing or overwhelming, you don't have to figure it out alone. Book a coaching session with me to clarify your next steps and create a realistic, actionable plan that fits your life.I also have a new 3-session coaching package called “The Path to Purposeful Writing” that is on sale until January 15, 2026. It's a banner day here on the pod, Slushies. We welcome a very special guest, American Poetry Review's Elizabeth Scanlon to the table as we discuss three prose poems from Sara Burant. Dagne sends out birthday wishes to Canada's own Margaret Atwood while Lisa shows the team her Margaret Atwood-as-saint candle. We note the recent poetry trend towards raising the profile of female visual artists whose work has been overlooked during their lifetimes. Artists like Sonia Delaunay, mentioned in Burant's poem “Fields,” and Hilma af Kilmt, whose art inspired Didi Jackson's recent book “My Infinity.”  The mention of a clay pipe in one poem sends Marion running for a treasure her husband found while mudlarking. Kathy cops to her blue-collar resistance to a precious ars poetica and we discuss what it takes to win her over in the end. Elizabeth relates how John Ashbery likens waiting for a poem to a cat's finicky arrival. We note Frank O'Hara's notion of “deep gossip,” name checking his own friends along with celebrities in his poems, a gesture Burant employs in her poem “Heat wave.” And we come full circle with a shout out to American Poetry Review's own podcast where Elizabeth interviewed Margaret Atwood during the pandemic. As always, thanks for listening! At the table: Dagne Forrest, Samantha Neugebauer, Elizabeth Scanlon, Kathleen Volk Miller, Marion Wrenn, Lisa Zerkle, and Lillie Volpe (sound engineer) Bio: Sara Burant's poems, reviews, and collaborative translations of Paul Éluard's poems have appeared in journals such as OmniVerse, Pedestal, periodicities, Ruminate, and The Denver Quarterly. Her work has been honored with a fellowship from Oregon Literary Arts and a residency at Playa. At 55, she received an MFA in Poetry from Saint Mary's College of California. She's the author of a chapbook, Verge. Fields after Frank O'Hara And the truck driver I was made in the image of has a tattoo reminiscent of a Sonia Delaunay on her chest. And on her upper left arm, a nude torso of Apollo reminiscent not only of Rilke but of the male figure who loved her passionately in a dream—my god, he knew how to kiss and be kissed and knew her better than she'll ever know herself. Nobody sees these tattoos except her, looking in the mirror in a cheap motel's bathroom. At home she has no mirrors, just the phone she occasionally snaps a selfie with to make sure she has no spinach or gristle lodged between her teeth before heading to the bar. Actually, the truck driver I was made in the image of is undercover. She's really a Jungian analyst. Those cows in another dream, her heaviest self, chewing the cud of the past, farting, trampling the delicate vegetation, forming a tight circle around the calves when threatened, bellowing when all else fails. Hauling 30 tons in her 35-ton rig, she speeds past field after field which are all the same field. Oh field of dreams, why hasn't she built you? Instead she deletes photos to make room for more photos, wondering why this sunset, that face, this puddle's reflection, that abstract painting. She fished and caught and couldn't filet the tender meat that smelled too much like drowning. One rainy winter in Paris she nearly did drown. Creeping water-logged from museum to museum, finally she clung to Cézanne's misshapen fruit as if to a buoy. The apples and pears, just one man's apprehension of apples and pears, not thoughts inside thought-balloons, not some parable of ancient September. Just tilting tabletops, shapes, colors, the suggestion of shadows and light. Ars poetica For the chickens I save tidbits, potato skins, and the outer cabbage leaves which make me think of hats. The red wobble of the hens' combs and the smell of their fecal heat, unaccountably dear to me. Awaiting a match to warm me, I chew on a clay pipe's stem, contemplating the waning moon of its bowl and my pink lipstick past. The silence behind words spoken or thought clucks softly in my inner ear. Sitting inside, I can't help looking out, a lifting, carrying blue, the wind's little pull on the earlobe of my heart. Lately I've been cutting paper into shapes that mean Feed me or Take me to your leader, wishing I'd been taught to name feelings as they arise. Tenderness for the apple still hanging from winter's limb. Loneliness drunk down with morning's darjeeling. There are conspirators for beauty. Like rabbits, they leave tracks in the snow. Like geese, they arrow through hallways of night. Without sentiment or self-pity they gaze at certain slants of light. They chip away the ice with a pick to get at the lock. Then they pick the lock. And oh, what a view. I want to walk in the dark to get there, not following anyone's directions. To enter the fortune teller's crystal ball with bread in my pocket and a botanist's loupe. Though I don't know your name, I move forward only beside you, your imaginary hand in mine.  Heat wave The woman at the table next to mine gives up loud-talking in favor of song, but it's not looking for love, it's looking for FUN—& feeling groovy. Maybe I should warn her—today's theme isn't love or fun, it's submarine & skedaddle, it's danger-danger, hold your breath & sound. This avalanche of heat, these record-shattering days. See the breakage piling up on sidewalks so hot the barefoot babies weep as they learn to toddle. Maybe, as you like to point out, I'm catastrophizing, when what I really want is to feel groovy again. To butter my skin with baby oil & sizzle, walking barefoot along the burning sand, Bradford Beach where I fell in love unrequited for the umpteenth time. Back then, who was counting? Back then summer lasted for years & still wasn't long enough. 1978, despite Mother's reservations, I saved my babysitting money for a ticket to Fleetwood Mac at County Stadium. Eilleen, Maggie, Liz, Jean, Mary, me—& Stevie Nicks & Christine McVie, the elm trees & long summer dusk of those women's voices. A dusk so filled with the orange, violet & chartreuse silk of its immense flag flying above, beside & through you, you neglect to notice shadows splotching the periphery & forget your curfew. I didn't notice much, so stoned I was, we were, melting into the moment's spotlessness, our adolescent hips grooving, our tan arms waving, here, now, this, this, this—I mean there, then, that, that, that—no one yet suspended for drinking, no one yet strung out, dropping out, running off with boys to Oregon or Wyoming, limping home pregnant or in rags. The elms, gone. Mom, Vince, Rob & Christine McVie, too. I've had to swear off many things due to poor digestion—but oblivion, I'd still like to indulge in that sometimes, diving into it like a bee into a flower, a morning glory, its dumb, purple, one day only show.

Oh boy, it's that magical time of year when we all pretend we're super into shopping and saving money! Join me and Johnny as we dive headfirst into the chaos of Black Friday sales, where we sift through the endless deals and try to find the gems that won't end up collecting dust in your garage. Seriously, we've done the legwork so you don't have to, and we're spilling the tea on our top ten favorite finds from Amazon. Whether you're looking for a smart dimmer switch to impress your parents or a jump starter to save your car from the graveyard, we've got you covered. So grab a snack (or five) and tune in, because we're about to make your holiday shopping a whole lot easier—unless you're still considering that vacuum cleaner for your significant other. Spoiler: don't do it!Takeaways: Black Friday sales are the ultimate excuse to justify our impulse buying habits, especially for tools and home gadgets. Eric and John discovered some killer deals on Amazon, proving that procrastination pays off during holiday sales. We learned that buying gifts for family can be a minefield, especially if it involves appliances or tools – no one wants to end up in the doghouse for that! The guys shared their top Black Friday finds, including smart dimmers and jump starters that are perfect for holiday gifting, or just for self-indulgence. Eric's amusing anecdotes about messing with his kids using smart home devices left us in stitches, highlighting the absurdity of parenting. Gift cards might be the safest bet for holiday gifting, but don't be surprised if your family still expects the usual socks and gadgets! This conversation peels back the glossy veneer on modern church culture and asks what Jesus actually had in mind. We talk megachurch money, the “business model” of religion, and whether tithing-as-law was ever the point. Amy unpacks the influencer pastor era, the pressure-cooker system that breeds burnout, and why Acts-style fellowship (shared tables, rotating teachers, real accountability) still works. We compare Sunday stage shows to small, Spirit-led communities and ask if the apostles would even recognize our churches. From Laodicea warnings to Watchman Nee–style generosity, we press into discipleship over attendance. And so we meet someone, they're amazing, we're attracted to them, and we unconsciously project our ideal onto this person." - Jillian TureckiRelationship coach Jillian Turecki delves into one of the most confusing and painful relationship transitions: when a seemingly perfect partner begins showing concerning behaviors months into a relationship. She explains the psychological dilemma that makes walking away so difficult—after six months of connection, we're already emotionally entangled, living out our dreams of partnership, and dreading a return to the dating world. This attachment creates a devastating crossroads when red flags emerge, requiring tremendous strength to address them directly rather than ignoring them or immediately ending the relationship.Turecki reveals the unconscious patterns that set relationships up for disappointment, particularly our tendency to project an idealized blueprint onto new partners. She describes how we place them on pedestals, making their inevitable fall that much more jarring when reality sets in. The transition from honeymoon phase to committed relationship brings a mirror to our own unresolved issues, creating a critical juncture where communication becomes essential. The real test of relationship viability isn't finding someone perfect, but finding someone willing to have difficult conversations, while also examining our own unrealistic expectations and intolerance for the imperfections we ourselves possess.Sign up for the Greatness newsletter: http://www.greatness.com/newsletter
