This week we look at the 3rd chapter and the call of Samuel. This chapter begins and ends with the language of the “word of the Lord”. Through this chapter we will see the importance and centrality of the word of God for life and faith. But we will also see how Jesus is this final Word, and the full revelation of God to us.
Last time we saw the sins of Eli's sons. This week the focus shifts to Eli, and the picture still remains a sinful and unfaithful one. Through God's prophecy to Eli we will learn of things that dishonour God and provoke Him to anger. But through the ugliness of sin we will also see God's faithfulness to His promises and to His people.

This week our attention is turned to Eli's family and to his wicked sons. This was a family that was serving God and yet was deeply wicked. Through their story and God's interaction with them we will learn important lessons on the importance of really knowing God and fearing Him.
So far we have zoomed in and looked at the details of Hannah's story. This week we will step back a bit to look at the narrative over chapter 1 and 2 together and see what it meant to be chosen by God, and to learn about God's greater narrative.

This Good Friday we will meditate on the familiar yet powerful narrative of when Jesus says it is finished. We will meditate on what was finished in Jesus' work on the cross.
This week as we look at the events around Palm Sunday we will look at a biblical answer to the question asked by those in Jerusalem – who is this? We will meditate upon the importance of Jesus as both saviour and Lord. Please consider joining in person if you can, we long to see you present with us.
