In this message, we begin our journey through the Beatitudes by exploring the first four Kingdom postures: poverty of spirit, mourning, meekness, and hunger for righteousness. Jesus shows us that true blessing begins with brokenness — when we come to the end of ourselves, we find the beginning of the Kingdom. This sermon will challenge how you define success and help you reimagine what it means to live a truly blessed life.

In this new collection of talks, we take a look at what the Bible has to say about this particular idea. Pastor Mark kicks us off with part 1!**********
One of the best things about the White Album is seeing so many different sides of each Beatle. To close out the first disc, we get a rare glimpse of the really vulnerable and sensitive John, a side we really haven't seen laid bare prior to this. It's a gorgeous track, lead by an almost hypnotic finger picking pattern, with a single note, bare lead vocal practically forcing you to listen to what he's singing about. Of course Julia was his mother, but is this just a song to/about her? I'd always thought so, until this conversation.Joining us this week is the always wonderful Jude Southerland Kessler, the author of The John Lennon series. Jude always seems to know just how to blow our minds with her knowledge and telling of John's story, and this episode is no different. The newest book in the series, Volume 5.2, which is called Some Forever ,Shades of Life Pt 2 covers August of 1965-1966 and contrary to what we discuss in the episode, will be out around August of this year (darn printing delays!). These books are fantastic, we can't wait to dive it and suggest you do the same as well! Check it out at johnlennonseries.com.What do you think about "Julia" at #74? Too high? Too low? CrossLife elder and lead paster, Ricky Massengale, preaches from Ecclesiastes 4 on Sunday, 4/6. In this part 2 of 2, Ricky focuses on the remaining 3 observations from the text: that greed is an unsatisfying, self-fulfilling desire; that companionship is a good thing for us to have; and that fame and prestige fade because people are fickle.
Listen as CrossLife elder and lead pastor, Ricky Massengale, teaches from Ecclesiastes 4 on Sunday, 3/30. In this part 1 of a 2 part message, Ricky focuses on the first two observations on life that we read in today's passage: that evil and oppression are present and very often left unchecked, and that we are very often motivated by the wrong things.
Before we wrap up our spring cleaning series, we have an important request—go watch White Lotus and Severance so we can talk about them! After that, it's time to clean up our mental space. In this final installment, we talk about the impact of media consumption on our moods, relationships, and productivity. Social media can be an incredible tool, but when overused, it drains our mental capacity and balance. We'll discuss how to set boundaries, model healthy habits for those around us, and invest our energy in relationships that truly serve us. Join us as we explore ways to declutter our minds and make space for more meaningful connections in our lives! Links mentioned: Our fave news podcast: The Daily by NY Times Jonathan Haidt: https://jonathanhaidt.com/ Some key takeaways from this episode include: Introduce mindful consumption to your daily routine. Be intentional with what, when, and how you consume media—overloading on even “healthy” content can be just as harmful as doom-scrolling. Creating boundaries with friends, family, and work is important, but so are boundaries with yourself. Whether for personal well-being or business growth, setting limits on screen time and social media use can help protect your mental health. Let's put quality over quantity. Strong, supportive relationships matter more than having a large circle—invest in those who uplift and energize you. Today we're diving into how Hilliard Studio Method prioritizes fun in fitness—because if you're not enjoying it, you won't stick with it. Liz shares how she designed Hilliard Studio Method as a constantly evolving challenge that keeps workouts engaging so the time flies by. Plus, we'll explore the mental and physical benefits of daily movement, from strength training to walking with weighted vests. Whether you're a fitness enthusiast or just getting started, we've got practical tips—including four exercises you can do at home—to help you build strength, boost endorphins, and create a positive cycle of movement in your life. Let's get moving! Some key takeaways from this episode include: To make fitness sustainable, it needs to be fun. If you don't enjoy your workouts, they won't last. Find movement that excites you, whether it's a dynamic group class, walking, or a fun hobby like pickleball. Prioritize consistency over intensity. Aim for 3-4 workout sessions per week, but keep moving even on rest days. Simple activities like walking, yoga, or stretching help maintain fitness and overall well-being. Movement trains both body and mind. Exercise isn't just about muscles—it's about mindset. Creating a positive cycle of movement can help combat negativity and build resilience in everyday life. Preacher: Andy BauerDate: 3/16/25Series: The Good LifeKey Scriptures: Matthew 5:1–12 (CSB)1 When he saw the crowds, he went up on the mountain, and after he sat down, his disciples came to him. 2 Then he began to teach them, saying: 3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for the kingdom of heaven is theirs. 4 Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. 5 Blessed are the humble, for they will inherit the earth. 6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. 7 Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. 8 Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. 9 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God. 10 Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for the kingdom of heaven is theirs. 11 “You are blessed when they insult you and persecute you and falsely say every kind of evil against you because of me. 12 Be glad and rejoice, because your reward is great in heaven. For that is how they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Could the right form of a single vitamin be the difference between thriving and barely surviving? In this Part 2 conversation, human biologist and longevity expert Gary Brecka reveals the #1 overlooked factor that's wrecking your health: methylation—your body's ability to convert nutrients into fuel. If this process fails, your hormones, energy, and even mental health take a nosedive. Gary and Dave dive deep into the real cause of anxiety, ADHD, and mood disorders, the hidden genetic reason why diets fail, and why Big Pharma isn't talking about this critical health breakthrough. Are you unknowingly setting yourself up for disease? What's the simple fix that can reverse anxiety, gut problems, and even prevent genetic disease? And why is your doctor ignoring one of the biggest markers of longevity?
