“If you are already insecure with your body, the Summertime can really amplify those feelings and make you feel even more self-aware.” For lots of people, Summertime is a favorite time of the year. Maybe it gives you a chance to wear your favorite dresses again. But for others, it can bring the blues-a feeling of pressure to participate in certain activities, or even dress in a certain way that you may not be comfortable with. So how can we overcome these pressures and enjoy our Summer? Be yourself year-round and try to not compare yourself (or your body) to others. When we're in comparison, we're in ego. When you're being yourself, you're in soul. You can learn to work through negative feelings and accept yourself. Wear the shorts! Wear the suit!

You might first learn about boundaries by going through a tough relationship where your needs aren't being met. You may have had your boundaries broken at work by not being allowed to take time off. Your family may be violating your boundaries by judging you and your lifestyle.. ..We appreciate your support! Luckily, it is a learnable skill.Harvard psychologist Christopher Germer, in his book The Mindful Path to Self-Compassion, suggests that there are five ways to bring self-compassion into your life: via physical, mental, emotional, relational, and spiritual methods.
