This week, Leonard Ouzts comes out to the NNFA turtle lair as we dive into sports, dating, pop culture, and some truly outrageous stories. In this episode, we talk why New Yorkers might never stop talking about the Knicks, the World Cup's billion-dollar success and global sports, including prostitution. Dave reviews Quan Millz's This Hoe Got Roaches in Her Crib, the ultimate dealbreaker: could you date someone with roaches? Plus the viral KTLA reporter roach incident, why Harry Potter should've been the biggest heartthrob at Hogwarts, and of course another week of “Brandy Get Your Brother”, Ray J's latest viral performance and why he's trying to jump into streaming. There's a version of "authentic" that's just an excuse to be obnoxious. Amy Houk isn't that version.Amy is the president of National Lien Services and RSC Preliminary Lien Services and joins Jesse to talk about turning 50 and how that moment changed everything: she stopped caring about most things and started caring a lot more about the things that mattered. She gets real about the line between authenticity and being difficult, why she owns her role in conflict instead of playing the victim, and the apology she almost didn't give (but did). They also dig into saying the quiet part out loud, why boundaries beat manipulation every time, and how to spot a narcissistic dynamic before it costs you. Then Amy pulls back the curtain on the side of construction most people ignore until it's too late — protecting your payments and mitigating risk before a project turns into a collections nightmare.Listen now, and find Amy online for more on risk, contracts, and getting paid what you're owed.https://www.linkedin.com/in/amyhouk/ 00:00 Not Too Much00:18 Meet Amy Houck02:59 Desert Whales Icebreaker04:49 Writing Like Yourself06:23 Authenticity As Brand09:20 Finding Courage At Fifty09:54 Mom The Powerhouse12:19 Shout Out Segment13:13 Authentic Not Obnoxious18:01 Men Versus Boys18:19 Gen X Follow Up Email22:24 Truth With Kindness25:16 Narcissism Talk29:41 What Lien Services Do32:31 Leading By Educating34:32 Monthly Live Webinars35:24 Respecting Construction Risk37:37 Ranch Roots Work Ethic39:07 Service Driven Leadership42:10 Authenticity And Influence45:02 Posers And Being Enough47:37 Honesty With Responsibility49:06 Narcissist Fallout Lesson53:29 How To Start Authentic58:31 Promise To Stay Open01:02:32 Where To Find AmyLets leave the Construction Industry Better than We Found It https://www.depthbuilder.com/construction-leadership-lab Download the free PDF copy of Becoming the Promise You are Intended to Be

In SheThePeople's signature style, this is a session of wit and grace. Bangalore Raani is a vibrant celebration placing female voices precisely where they've always belonged: centerstage. Unapologetic and electric, this dialogue brings together women whose presence, choices, and courage bring Bengaluru to life. In this edition, Shaili Chopra is joined by mother and daughter, Yasmin and Kubbra Sait. Through candid storytelling that moves from ambition to reinvention, relationships to those small everyday rebellions that shift culture, the conversation flows freely: sometimes hilarious, always real. Relatable yet aspirational, intimate yet energizing, this is the rare space where women's stories don't just resonate, but reverberate through lingering conversations, lasting inspiration and undeniable connection as a result of being deeply, and truly, seen. In collaboration with: Shethepeople In this episode of BIC Talks, Kubbra Sait and Yasmin Sait will be in conversation with Shaili Chopra. **Caitlin Clark Gets Choked on the Court: Clay's WNBA Rant | Clay Edwards Show** Clay goes off on the WNBA after a Black player was caught on video appearing to try and choke the life out of Caitlin Clark. He's fired up, calling it an outrageous attack on the woman who single-handedly saved the league. Clay points out that before Caitlin Clark arrived, the WNBA was a failing, unwatchable product that nobody cared about for over 20 years. Now the players have private planes, big pay raises, and mainstream attention — all because of her. Clay questions whether the hostility toward Clark is because she doesn't fit the league's “rainbow supremacy” vibe, and he's not subtle about it. He gives props to Sophie Cunningham and says the player who went after Clark should be facing aggravated assault charges. This is Clay at his most direct: defending the golden goose of women's basketball while calling out what he sees as toxic, entitled behavior in the league. He ends the rant with a simple message — “Stop the violence.” If you're tired of watching the WNBA bite the hand that fed it, this segment hits hard. **Unfiltered. Unapologetic. Classic Clay Edwards.**
**FAFO Friday: Simon City Royals Get Busted | Clay Edwards Show** Clay takes a deep dive into the recent arrests tied to the break-in at the Jackson City impound lot — and he doesn't hold back. He breaks down the fourth arrest: James Brandon Yelverton of Terry, an alleged Simon City Royal with prior prison time for shooting into an occupied dwelling. Yelverton caught a **$500,000 bond** from Judge Jeffrey Reynolds after being taken down with the help of **two SWAT teams**. Clay also covers the other three arrested: Marshall Fox, Gary Burnside, and Jonathan Brooks. Clay uses the story to make a bigger point: how conservative areas like Rankin County actually handle their own trash versus how Jackson enables it. He calls the Simon City Royals exactly what they are — a 25-year nuisance and net negative on society, no different than the black gangs terrorizing the city. He's blunt: white trash gets no pass on this show either. From the revolving door of justice (Yelverton was released on his own recognizance in January after felony fleeing) to the cultural rot on both sides of the racial line, Clay lays out why real communities police themselves while Jackson continues to rot. This segment is classic FAFO Friday — no sacred cows, no double standards, just straight talk about accountability and consequences. **Unfiltered. Unapologetic. Exactly what you expect from The Clay Edwards Show.**
**“They Look Like Voodoo Witch Doctors”: Clay on the Generational Curse | Clay Edwards Show** Clay delivers one of the most raw and controversial segments of the episode, quoting a Black preacher from Jason Whitlock's show who described a troubling segment of young Black men as looking like “voodoo witch doctors.” The preacher called it a generational curse — pointing to the tarantula hair, face tattoos, skinny builds, and uniform look that many of these young men now carry. Clay stops what he's doing in the studio and says once you hear it, you can't unsee it. He repeats it multiple times on air: “They all look like witch doctors… Little voodoo witch doctors.” He connects this directly to the violence and culture rot in places like South Jackson, arguing that an evil spirit has been cast over certain communities. Clay is clear he's not talking about all Black people, but he refuses to pretend the pattern doesn't exist or that it's racist to point it out. This segment is Clay at full throttle — using a Black preacher's own words to say what most media figures won't touch: that decades of cultural decay have left a visible and spiritual mark on parts of the Black community, and ignoring it only makes the problem worse. **Unfiltered. Uncomfortable. Unapologetic.** This is the kind of conversation you only get on The Clay Edwards Show.

With so many conflicting and contradictory nutrition claims dominating headlines and social media, deciding what to eat has become unnecessarily complicated. Stanford nutrition scientist Christopher Gardner, Ph.D., has spent more than three decades conducting evidence-based research to bring clarity to the conversation. In this program, Gardner shares what decades of human nutrition trials reveal about where true scientific consensus exists, and where it does not. From his landmark “A to Z” and “DIETFITS” studies to ongoing research on plant-rich alternatives, ketogenic diets, the gut microbiome, and inflammation, Gardner has worked to move the field beyond diet myths and toward practical, evidence-based guidance. At the center of his message is a powerful idea: healthy eating can be “unapologetically delicious,” built around whole, minimally processed, plant-rich foods aligned with personal values around culture, sustainability and social responsibility. He will address pressing questions about different diets, cholesterol, seed oils, ultra-processed foods, protein, plant-based meats, fiber, fermented foods and more, offering a framework that helps individuals make informed, flexible, and lasting food choices. This conversation invites us to reconsider not only what we eat, but how we think about food: as nourishment, pleasure, culture and a powerful tool for long-term personal and planetary health. About the Speakers Christopher Gardner, Ph.D., is a professor of medicine at Stanford Prevention Research Center who has led more than 20 years of NIH-funded, randomized controlled trials on nutrition. His work focuses on diet patterns, weight loss and cardiometabolic health. A Nutrition, Food & Wellness Member-led Forum program. What would change in your life if you stopped waiting for permission and finally trusted yourself? In this episode, Lacy, Jessica, and Janelle explore one of the most transformative energies in manifestation: the unapologetic self-worth that comes from fully being yourself. As the community moves through the Be Seen Challenge, they unpack the collective themes emerging right now: navigating uncertainty in a rapidly changing world, releasing outdated beliefs around success, hustle, relationships, visibility, and identity. They dive into the fears that keep us hidden and cover nervous system regulation, shadow work, authenticity, burnout, and manifestation. Plus, they break down why "fuck it" energy isn't about recklessness — it's about arriving at a place where your worth is no longer up for debate. Your authenticity is your greatest signal to the universe. The life, love, opportunities, and freedom you're after often begin the moment you stop abandoning yourself and allow yourself to truly be seen. The episode's Deep Cut reviews the documentary "Patrice: The Movie," about Patrice Jetter and Garry Wickham facing benefits rules that penalize marriage and cohabitation, including the SSI $2,000 savings limit, loss of benefits tied to fundraising, accessible transportation barriers, and the looming threat of institutionalization. The hosts connect the story to policy efforts like the Marriage Equality for Disabled Adults Act and related SSI reforms. Find Nila online: https://linktr.ee/NilaNMorton

Growth sounds exciting—until it starts costing you people. In this solo episode, Caroline opens up about one of the hardest truths of personal growth: not everyone is meant to come with you. As you evolve, set stronger boundaries, chase bigger goals, and become more confident in who you are, some friendships naturally change—and others end altogether. Why do people drift away when you're doing better? How do you know whether a friendship has simply run its course? And how do you stop feeling guilty for outgrowing relationships that no longer align with the person you're becoming?Caroline shares her own experiences of reinvention, friendship breakups, loyalty, loneliness, and the unexpected price of becoming the woman you were always meant to be.Because sometimes growth isn't about finding new people—it's about having the courage to let go of the old ones.Unfiltered. What happens when loyalty gets louder than truth? In this episode of Hot Take Court, we're putting selective silence, blind loyalty, and internet hypocrisy on trial. Because let's be honest… some people don't stand on truth. They stand on who the truth is about. We break down the controversy surrounding Usher defending Sean "Diddy" Combs with "I didn't experience that"… and ask the question nobody wants to answer: If you didn't see it… does that mean it didn't happen? Then we step into the chaos of rap culture, where J. Cole calls out the pile-on against Drake during the Kendrick Lamar beef… …but is the internet wrong? Or is this exactly what the game has always been? This episode isn't about celebrities. It's about how we think, who we protect, and why the truth suddenly becomes optional when it's inconvenient. IN THIS EPISODE: The danger of "I didn't experience it" as a defense Why proximity doesn't equal truth The psychology behind internet pile-ons When loyalty turns into denial Why rap beef isn't about bars anymore… it's about narrative control The uncomfortable truth about who we defend and why CORE TRUTHS YOU'RE NOT READY FOR: "Not experiencing harm doesn't make you a witness… it makes you lucky." "You don't get to live in competition… then ask for compassion when you're losing." "We don't cancel behavior… we cancel people we were already tired of." "The truth doesn't change. Only your loyalty does." THE REAL QUESTION: Are you loyal to the truth… or loyal to who you like? JOIN THE CONVERSATION: Drop your verdict in the comments: Was Usher right to speak from his experience? Is J. Cole right about the Drake pile-on… or is that just the nature of the game? Some truths don't come out quietly… they show up and change everything. This week on The John Cash Show Podcast, we're breaking down the stories that prove one thing: The truth doesn't whisper—it SCREEN RECORDS. From shocking revelations to uncomfortable conversations, this episode dives into the moments where secrets expired, narratives got challenged, and the internet did what it always does—react first, verify later. IN THIS EPISODE: Honoring a Cultural Icon A powerful tribute to Kiki Shepard—an undeniable force behind Showtime at the Apollo and a symbol of grace, authority, and Black cultural excellence. This is more than remembrance… this is legacy. Studio Setup or Self-Sabotage? Pooh Shiesty, Big30, and explosive allegations involving Gucci Mane. When the studio turns into something else entirely, we have to ask: Is this bad luck… or bad decisions catching up? Confession or Context? Brandy finally reveals a long-denied relationship with Wanya Morris—and the timeline raises serious questions. Does time change the truth… or just delay accountability? Perception vs Reality Chilli from TLC trends for political controversy—and the internet does what it does best. When perception moves faster than facts… what actually matters? Final Verdict: Public Audit This week wasn't just messy—it was a full-blown audit. Who took the biggest L… and why? THIS EPISODE WILL MAKE YOU QUESTION: Are we reacting to facts… or feelings? Does time change accountability? Can you separate the artist from the narrative? And most importantly… Are we judging others for things we've done—just without an audience? DISCLAIMER Everything discussed is public, alleged, and already online. We are commentators—not investigators. The facts are public. The reactions? That's where it gets dangerous. This week we've got Gordon Baker-Bone in the turtle lair, talking crazy! We're talking Black male role models and if there are any, why certain video game characters made NO sense, Loc hair journeys, dreads, and stealing your girls bonnet, Dave inspiring the guys to take their women to Red Lobster and then we discover Black Bike Week! It's splendiferously funny so there's no need for apologies! Join me for The Spring Edit, a month-long experience inside the School of Self-Image that I'm doing right alongside you. One room, one honest look, and one woman deciding who she is now – and creating a space that says so. https://www.schoolofselfimage.com/go There's a room in my house that I've called my studio for nearly two years. I've never once recorded a podcast in it. Two walls painted black, two white. Not a decision. A series of half-starts that never became anything. Every time I walk past it, it whispers: "You're a woman with beautiful ideas who doesn't follow through." But I know who does follow through. I've been her. The one who sailed through St. Barts in silk, spent a summer in the South of France, walked into rooms and felt like herself. Alive. Creative. Unapologetic. I set her down somewhere along the way. And maybe you did, too. You don't lose that version of yourself all at once. Life fills in around her, and one day you realize the door has been closed for a long time. In this episode, I'm making it public: I'm building that studio. And I want you to do this with me – because your environment is your identity made visible, and the woman you're becoming doesn't live in someday. She lives right now. Here's what we cover: The room in my house I've been avoiding, and the self-image conversation it's been having with me for years Why an empty room is still a mirror, and what yours might be saying about you The woman I've been outgrowing and the one I'm returning to What space you've been walking past every day (and what it's costing you) Why a weekend blitz can clean a room but cannot shift your self-image How 30 days of intentional choices build unmistakable evidence for who you're becoming My public commitment – and the invitation to join me Did you enjoy this episode?
