Where this weeks topic is video games.
After a lengthy break we are here to share our thoughts on which games made it to our top 5's from 2020. There are some surprises contenders and some obvious choices but all in all 2020 was OK. Bring on the next gen and let's win the game of buying games!!! Come and join our Discord Click Me!!
Ash has bought something new as discussed in the previous episode, Alex has been enjoying the addition on EA Play to Gamepass, and we discuss the near future of buying games with the new consoles out now. Why not tell your friends or enemies about us.
Twas the night before lockdown and what else is there to do but podcast, so we did. More of a chat than anything else this week buddies. Let us know how you're getting on in the discord. Hope all is well.
Well my computer didn't crap out, so we got a full podcast in. We pick up where we left off last week with the addition of JfG Ash finishing off The Last Of Us 2 which was fine. There's talk of Fifa 21, a Dreamcast Mini and quite the debate over the next generation and its lack of excitement. Let us know your thoughts on the next gen buddies. Are you excited?
Bit of a short one this week due to Ash updating something on his PC and that's always a bad idea. Either way we hope you enjoy buddies and hopefully should be back to normal next week.
Yeah, it's a bit late because I forgot about it buddies but hey we finally talk about the PS5 and Tony Hawks Pro Skater.
We finally get some information about one of Microsoft's next gen consoles and it's looking good as some sort of ultimate game pass machine. Ash has played The Last Campfire and fails to described what it's like. Not much else buddies.
After another Summer break we're here to talk about games games games. It's the same old thing, have a chat, talk about games and then complain about the games' industry. It's good to get back in the seat again buddies.
After a couple of weeks off, we are back and we've been playing two games a fair bit. We talk about Ghost of Tsushima and how lovely that game is and the awesomeness that is F1 2020 career mode thing. There's other stuff too.
Racing, conspiracies and other shit. That's it this week but mainly racing as we both have been tucking into F1 2020 as the title suggests. Sorry if it's not your bag but we seem to like it a lot. Let us know about you conspiracies in the discord. The Truth Is Out There?
After a week off due to health reasons we are back and don't have a lot to talk about. Ash gives his two cents about the last of us part 2 and Alex has completed a little puzzler on game pass. F1 is back, which excites us and is the perfect time for the release of F1 2020 game and as we are not twats we wait for the official release and not pay £10 to get it 4 days early. Peace Out.
This week is mainly about the last of us part 2 buddies, there are no spoilers about the story, but we do go into the gameplay quite a bit. Other things like cyberpunk get delayed, we're back on stitcher and Alex watched that EA press thing where apparently they are going to make Skate 4 now. Just like buses those skateboarding games. Stay Safe.
In this week's episode, we have our usual stuff, Ash is angry at Argos, Alex stays at home, we've played some games like battlefront 2 and ticket to ride and then finally we've all seen the Playstation 5 so we have a big old talk about what we saw. Let us know what you think about it all.
It's season 12 of the jfg podcast and we've played some games all of which are old. Alex plays one of my favorite games ever, Firewatch. I get tucked into Jurassic Park Evolution thanks to JJ and his donations in our discord. There's a PS5 event on the horizon that we are looking forward to and the question do we like simulations because we are old pops up? Be excellent to each other!
It is now June and the world is even more messed up than it was before. Now is the time to stay in and play games. We've been doing just that. Trying out some of this month's PS Plus games so you don't have to and also the latest offerings from Microsofts Game Pass. The PS5 is still a mystery, Take Two and massive cunts and Konami has released a game. Like I said crazy times. Hope you enjoy the show.
On holiday so got to get back to the paddling pool. Enjoy this week's podcast.
So it's nice and hot and we are stuck inside, the best time to drink and do a podcast. We get tucked into some old games like the greatest puzzle game ever Portal 2, Alex has found an old Far Cry game in his sofa and we have both won the game of buying games. We talk about other gaming stuff which I can't remember right now but hopefully, it will help you escape the on-going lockdown for an hour or so. Stay Safe, Wash Your Balls, Dip Your Wick!
Number 249, the most important number or so I've been told. Ash has been jacking it all weekend in the garden whereas Alex has been working from his bedroom again. Gears Tactics continues to feature but we're not sure for how much longer, Far Cry 5 gets a bashing again but for some reason, we keep going back. There's some sort of taxi game but not the crazy one and why are they still making remasters?
The lockdown continues so obviously we win the game of buying games with Far Cry 5 as Alex can't get enough of open-world games at the moment for some reason? Gamepass comes into its element with additions of Streets of Rage 4, Moving Out, and Gears Tactics with we've played them all. Finally, we get a lovely update about Cyberpunk 2077 and its character customisation. Keep on Truckin (Toot Toot)!!!
This week's podcast has a special guest for about a minute and he tells us all about Fortnite's latest event, luckily we're too old to know who the event guy is. Ash continues to play a kid's game and now it seems he is learning to make levels within it thanks to one of our listeners. Alex finishes of Sleeping Dogs and is now looking at what's next. He's also gone back in time to remember when football games were good. Other stuff happens and then we say goodbye. Give us a shout on the discord if you're bored or lonely.
Another week inside, another podcast to brighten your day. This week we have a great tip on how to dissolve hours of lockdown boredom aka Civilisation. We've been heavy on the wheels in Project Cars 2, GT Sport, and Assetto Corsa with some checky tips on how to get more out of your budget sim-racing setup. We go to where no man has gone before in Star Trek Bridge Crew and Sony patent something we all wish we had. Hope your all good buddies.
We did it, two weeks in a row and with a bank holiday weekend we managed to get a bit more gaming in than usual. Ash gets to play all the latest kids games apart from Disney's Brave where Alex gets tucked into PS Now and gives us a breakdown and comparison to the ever so excellent Xbox Game Pass. He's played all the games from the last 20 years but how do they run on Sony's game streaming service? Stay safe everyone and whatever you do, don't stop moving.
After a crazy two week absence where it looks like the world has gone to shit we are back and ready to podcast. Alex is in full lockdown and is some sort of insider trader while Ash has a free pass thanks to prison and is treating the outside like the apocalypse. We hope to take your minds off of whatever is going on in your life for an hour or so buddies and we hope that you are all staying safe. Much Love, The JfG Boys
In the midst of eternal doom, we prove that we are very British and carry on with what we do best but obviously safe from the outside world isolated in our homes. In our isolation, we get tucked into a couple of newish titles and have a great discussion about the specs and details released this week about the PS5 and Xbox Series X. Its a doozy.
In this week's episode, there are two Star Wars games as Alex drops some cash on an old favorite, Ash finds some time to ignore people and play Pokémon Sword, we both agree on Wolfenstein and GT Sport comes back for a hot lap or two. Well, it looks like we're all gonna be ill at some point so we hope our pod will brighten your day. Enjoy…
In this week's episode, we go back to star wars as the other half has now plowed a good few hours into it and seems to have had a mixed bag of emotions. Trails Rising gets back on the scene as it pops in a cheeky PlayStation sale and can now be played not on the switch. Alex needs more racing with GRID and yeah that's about it…
It's been a while and we are both another year older, there's been trips away and presents for all. Luckily we've been playing games as well with Ash getting into Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Celeste and Alex begrudgingly finishing of Rat Game (yes that one not the other) and we both have a go at Two Point Hospital. You guys have been busy in the Discord and the funk is about for his say on The Outer Worlds. Check it…
Alex has been playing a couple of Rat Games, there a bit ratty. There's a juicy dangler knocking about till the end. We talk game streaming services once again as Alex thinks PlayStation Now might be getting close to a decent price but I'm not so sure. JJ gives us some more treats, one of which I have nabbed up (sorry buddies) as I've wanted it for quite some time now. All in all, it's a corker!
It's all about you guys this week, well most of it. We talk about The Witcher 3 in 2020 and why it's still a cracker of a game, Alex continues his venture into Game Pass and we both have a stab at Plague Tale: Innocence. Then it's about you, we have the Funk going hunting, CozmicDad with his top games of last Year and JJ who just can't wait for Doom Eternal. You guys are the best.
It's another one and in this one, we look to the near future of gaming discussing the year ahead with talk of Cyberpunk, The Last Of Us 2, 12 minutes and Doom Eternal. Alex gets his hunting boots on with the Funk and also plays one of his top games of the last decade. PS5 and Xbox Series X aka the Xbox SeX turn up at the end and we ask the question can we wait?
It's a bit late but it's time for the game of the year show. We discuss in super-duper in-depth detail the games and lack thereof that has come out this year. We also delve deeper and further back and look at the most influential games of the decade which in hindsight is hard than it should be, there's been some great games and next week we will be looking to the future. Happy New Year buddies.
It's the week before Christmas so we make our lists and send them up the chimney with the hope of a wonderful Christmas. But we know already that this will not be the case. Enjoy the show buddies it's the last for this year. Have a good one. The JfG Podcast.
Much like this week's podcast, this is a bit slapdash. Listen and Enjoy buddies.
There is a bit of a mix up with the pod notes at the beginning and Ash looks like a right plumb but regains some sort of credibility when talking about the actual week that he's had. Alex is all good now and back to full form with his usual wit and charm. Valve, Google and Xbox get involved in the news and I believe level 193 is quite a big deal. Enjoy. 0:01:02 Intro 0:27:19 What we've been playing 0:49:21 The News 1:27:26 Street Beat
Cause baby you're a firework, come and show 'em what's in your pants or something like that… This week we've seen firework thanks to Guy Fawkes and his failed plot. We play the same games as last week's bar one and that one isn't that great. Death Stranding is finding a path to its way out and we want to play it because it's a bit odd. Bethesda continues to be slated by us and we get some cheeky tips on how to surf the web without ads.
We get all involved in the latest and greatest game releases in this week's podcast, The Outer Worlds, Call of Duty, Concrete Genie we've played them all and more!!! Which is not like us at all. JfG Ash rambles as is tradition, Alex has been going crazy playing all the games, Bethesda gets a kickin and we have a winner. Enjoy.
He's back from the states and full of joy and news of his latest adventure which features. A gaping arsehole, playing the drums, asking a special question and playing a bat and ball game. Which means we're back together and as sarcastic as always with our overwhelming morbid outlook on the video games industry. We discuss the stupidity of humanity, if we are lazy and also video games are in there I think. Enjoy Buddies!
Sorry for missing a week buddies but I was busy playing the Destiny 2. This episode is the same but different, different being the fact I'm flying solo and I change the flow a bit and the same as it's not very good! The first 40 minutes you will all enjoy but after that its all Destiny. I get it all out of my system in a half hour breakdown and ramble about the latest expansion. Enjoy!
Well it's the last time we will hear from one half of the jfg podcast for a couple of weeks and things won't be the same without him. He has given us a cracking send off as he's been on the source pre podcast and continues to pound booze while struggling to talk about the new call of duty. We have questions from the discord about game subscriptions that may or may not work and finally the inevitable zombie apocalypse. Good luck with that.
For some reason I think this is one of the greats. We smashed it this week with all our rants about how toilet triple A games are and why they can't get any better. The are some possitive notes though as I go on about Gears 5 to long and we both love the wounderlust that is Celeste. Lastley we drink some quality beers. Don't forget about the Discord buddies!!!
Podcast Away!!! This week we've been playing some games. New ones, old ones, some games with balls. Gears 5 gets the treatment thanks to Game Pass and Alex's favourite game returns with some new DLC. News on Borderlands review shenanigans and there's stuff goning on in the discord so check it out. Here's a link just click the image!!!
What what!!! We are back after a couple of weeks off enjoying life and getting fucked up as tradition. Ash has managed to crame soon gaming in his few days back, Alex can't stop playing my cricket even though it looks crap. We've got the news, the news, the news, f**king news and for some reason I love episode 100. Jagtrad!
Sup buddies, hope y'all good. This week I've got my new pc so obviously get straight back on the pirating. Alex has a crack at the latest cricketing experience and it seems like it's hit a six. Nothing much in the news as it is the season for it and finally I'm not around for a week, off to the west country for pasties and ice cream but don't worry Alex should be about next week to keep you company. Enjoy the pod.
Not much time so….. Here's the podcast. Things in it. Mel Gibson and his soul. Mario Maker 2 and games Alex has played. There's a news section and an end. Peace out.
It's been awhile since I couldn't look at myself straight and it's been awhile since I said, “I'm sorry” and it's been awhile since I've seen the way the candles light your face and it's been awhile but I can still remember just the way you taste. Yummy!!!!
It's F-in hot buddies but as always we are here. Its the usual format this week as we stuggle to find anything to talk about as both of us have done nothing and there is little to no news. Either way we hope you enjoy.
Another week another podcast. Game pass takes center stage as Ash tries to solve a terorist attack and Alex plays Perfect Dark. We win the game of buying games with Crash Team Racing. Konami are in the news and we compare Formula 1 to vacuuming.
In this here episode we look to the near future for excitement with a list of all the games we are going to buy this year and its quite a list. Alex doesn't play an 8 year old game but Ash does. Nintendo are a bit of a joke to be honest as they continue to “not follow trends” and I wounder if anyone actually reads this. The code word is “Banana Pancake”. Let us know. Don't forget about our website The JfG Podcast.co.uk Or Join our discord channel The JfG Podcast
Soul Train! How can you not like it. We go karting and win the world cup. There's a new F1 out and someone couldn't wait and the other thinks God of War is the best single player game EVER!!! So there…
Oh looky here, we're back with a bang this week, as Alex returns from his weird Welsh holishlay in which he flew over a quarry and lugged his fat arse up a mountain, complaining all the way, and Ash buys beer birthing equipment and RAM for a computer he doesn't have yet. Elsewhere, you'll be pleased to hear, some video games.
It's E3 buddies, and despite the fact that Sony, EA and Nintendo don't fancy rocking up at a giant arena in Los Angeles for basically no reason because the internet, we're still ULTRA SUPER PUMPED. Prepare for a (lengthy) rundown of all the things we thought were interesting, good, or terrible at this year's E3!
