Welcome to Multiverse News, Your source for Information about all your favorite fictional universesMoviegoers were in their showgirl era this weekend as Taylor Swift's album release party for her 12th album, The Life of a Showgirl, took the top spot at the box office with an estimated $34 million. The one-weekend show is over, though, and Tron: Ares is coming through to open this weekend with estimates hoping it rakes in more than $40 million. Meanwhile the Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt headlined movie The Smashing Machine from A24 barely even slapped anyone across the face, opening to just $5.9 million. Paul Thomas Anderon's One Battle After Another continues to bring in dollars as well,43 million so far Domestic,  though it had a 50% drop weekend-over-weekend.If you thought that film and tv universes were becoming passe, Peaky Blinders is here to prove you wrong. Star Cillian Murphy already had fans excited about returning to the Shelby family with the news of a feature film that is wrapped and will release next year. Now, the BBC and Netflix are sharing an expansion of the universe with a new six episode sequel series that will focus on a new generation of Shelbys. Murphy and original creator/writer Steven Knight are executive producers for the series, which will take place post-World War II. In lieu of much else to report on for features this week, we thought we'd look ahead to the films and television series we can look forward to for the rest of the year that we maybe have or haven't discussed yet.New Line's follow up to Final Destination: Bloodlines has found its director - Belgian filmmaker Michiel Blanchart, who will be making his English-language debut with the feature.DC and Marvel Comics will continue their crossover series with a Superman and Spider-Man crossover that will debut early next year.Severance breakout Zach Cherry, True Detective co-star Kali Reis, and Johnno Wilson, from I Love That for You, have joined the cast of Resident Evil, Sony Pictures and Zach Cregger's reboot of the horror franchise, according to The Hollywood Reporter.Netflix has released the first official trailer for season four of The Witcher, which sees Liam Hemsworth taking over the role of Geralt from former star Henry Cavill. Netflix has previously announced the show will end with season five.In a deal worth a substantial seven figures, Walt Disney Studios won an auction to acquire rights to Impossible Creatures, the fantasy series by acclaimed British author Katherine Rundell. She will adapt the first two books in the series into screenplays.Michael Mann's “Heat 2,” the long-awaited sequel to his 1995 crime drama starring Al Pacino and Robert De Niro, is finally gaining traction. Amazon MGM and producers Scott Stuber and Jerry Bruckheimer are in final negotiations to secure the rights. Although no deals are official, The Hollywood Reporter has connected Leonardo Dicaprio to the project, and other names have also surfaced including Austin Butler, Adam Driver and Bradley Cooper.

Frank and Jonathan catch up after a busy con season and dig into the biggest geek stories they've missed. We react to the Mandalorian & Grogu trailer and its old-school adventure vibe, talk through why a Game of Thrones one-two punch in 2026 could work (and where House of the Dragon still needs to land), and break down the first real look at the Wolverine game from Insomniac. We also map out what the Peaky Blinders movie and sequel series might cover, debate the point of The Simpsons Movie 2, and line up a sharp October watchlist. Plus: Jordan Peele's Him hits digital with bonus content, and we're giving away copies today. Timestamps & Topics 00:00–02:24 • Catch-up and con season recap (Crocker Con, LA Comic Con, highlight video) 02:24–11:08 • Mandalorian & Grogu poster + trailer reactions, practical effects, scale, IMAX plans 11:08–19:12 • Game of Thrones 2026: House of the Dragon S3 expectations, big battles, “movie-episode” idea; A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms tone and Dorne 19:12–23:21 • The Simpsons Movie 2: why now, scope, and what would make it worth theaters 23:21–29:19 • Wolverine (Insomniac) gameplay: combat feel, Omega Red stakes, Mystique story tricks, scent-tracking 29:19–39:51 • Peaky Blinders: WWII film setup, Tommy vs. fascism, the 1953 sequel series and what shifts after the war 39:51–40:23 • What we're rewatching: Invincible 40:23–40:51 • Ad: Jordan Peele's Him now on digital + bonus content 40:49–40:51 • Giveaway: Free copies of Him dropping on our socials today 40:51–48:14 • October Watchlist: Solar Opposites, Hazbin Hotel, Star Wars: Visions, It: Welcome to Derry, The Witcher's final season 48:14–52:18 • Horror picks, Tron rewatch plans, final recs (Reading Rainbow with Mychol the Librarian) Key Takeaways Mandalorian & Grogu looks like classic adventure cinema with modern polish, and the scale finally feels “Star Wars movie” again. House of the Dragon S3 needs payoff right away; A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms works best if it stays grounded and character-driven. Wolverine aims for weighty, tactile combat; villains like Omega Red can raise stakes by limiting healing. Peaky Blinders is set up for a strong WWII film handoff to a 1953 sequel series that explores post-war power shifts. The Simpsons Movie 2 needs a big, timely hook to justify the leap back to theaters. October TV is stacked, and It: Welcome to Derry has room to dig into the town-wide effects of Pennywise. Memorable Quotes “There's something about a Star Wars movie where the budget is just whatever they wanted to do.” “Make the season climb, then drop a theater-only battle movie the very next weekend.” “Star Wars tech feels bolted together in the best way. You can almost hear the click of every panel.” “He operates perfectly in the gray area where politics can't see.” “The best horror makes you think about it long after the scare.” Call to Action If you enjoyed this episode, follow and subscribe, rate us 5 stars, and share the show with a friend.

We're diving headfirst into Sapkowski's gritty short stories, the rise of Geralt, the fall of Cintra, the chaos of Yennefer, and Jaskier's career as the most emotionally damaged bard in the realm. We're talking choices, lore accuracy, and how a cult classic Polish fantasy became a global phenomenon. This is just the beginning. Games, spin-offs, and bathtub memes come later.

In today's Daily Fix:CD Projekt RED is staffing up for Cyberpunk 2 with a job post looking for a lead network engineer. Responsibilities would include developing and optimizing "multiplayer systems, including matchmaking." So it sounds like Cyberpunk 2 is going to include a multiplayer mode, possibly similar to the scrapped mode that was supposed to be post-launch content for Cyberpunk 2077. Cyberpunk 2 isn't supposed to go into full development until after The Witcher 4 is out the door, so it may be a long while before we hear more. In other news, Fortnite is going head-to-head with Roblox in the creator economy space, with Epic revealing plans to allow players to sell user-generated content. The real kicker: Epic is pushing incentives for creators to earn quite a bit more than they would with Roblox. And finally, more DLC content for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds has leaked, thanks to some retailers selling copies early.

007 First Light had it's first gameplay reveal. This is the new Bond game from IO Interactive, the creators of Hitman. It's looking good in some areas and not so much in others. How will it turn out when it releases next year?Brett revisits some older games. He dives back into No Man's Sky Voyagers update with the new build-your-own Corvette's. It's an awesome update and No Man's Sky is a technical marvel, but it's daunting and Brett keeps realizing that every time he jumps back in.Brett also went to see The Witcher in Concert and that brought him into The Witcher 3. He may have also convinced everyone else to jump back into it. The Witcher 3 came out 10 years ago and it surprisingly still holds up!We also finished Mafia The Old Country and take a look back at the Mafia games of the past and what they could do in the future. We were a little let down by the overall package provided in The Old Country and Mafia 3 and 2 definitely showed us they can make amazing stories with fun gameplay.Lastly, we're 10 years old! Tonight's Triple Feature takes us across three very different animated landscapes: Predator: Killer of Killers, The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep, and Love Me. At first glance, they don't seem to belong together—sci-fi bloodsport, dark fantasy folklore, and surreal romance. But when you strip them down, they share a common pulse. Each film uses animation not just as a style but as a weapon. Predator turns combat into operatic spectacle, the Witcher refracts violence through moral ambiguity, and Love Me translates intimacy into something jagged and strange. They're all asking the same question: how do you capture the extremes of human experience when realism isn't enough? These stories lean on mythology and the superhuman—hunters, monsters, and lovers blown up into archetypes. And they all circle around alienation. The Predator is literally alien, Geralt is permanently the outsider, and Love Me lingers on the alienation baked into desire itself. What unites them is the uncanny, the surreal, the sense that the only way to tell the truth about violence and intimacy is to exaggerate it until it breaks. So that's the throughline tonight: three animated visions that turn estrangement, myth, and brutality into something bigger than life—and maybe, because of that, closer to the truth.Disclaimer: The following may contain offensive language, adult humor, and/or content that some viewers may find offensive – The views and opinions expressed by any one speaker does not explicitly or necessarily reflect or represent those of Mark Radulich or W2M Network.Mark Radulich and his wacky podcast on all the things:https://linktr.ee/markkind76alsohttps://www.teepublic.com/user/radulich-in-broadcasting-networkFB Messenger: Mark Radulich LCSWTiktok: @markradulichtwitter: @MarkRadulichInstagram: markkind76RIBN Album Playlist: https://suno.com/playlist/91d704c9-d1ea-45a0-9ffe-5069497bad59
