In today's Daily Fix:After Sony's bombshell anouncement that they would no longer release first-party titles on physical discs, many gamers took to the PlayStation Network webpage to unsubscribe from PlayStation Plus. But analysts say that even if hundreds of thousands of gamers unsubbed from PS Plus, it's a drop in the bucket to PlayStation's overall business model and would likely not persuade them to keep supporting physical media. In other gaming news, Bernie Sanders has taken aim at Xbox, posting on social media that the company's mass layoffs and hardware price troubles are more evidence that corporate tax breaks do nothing to create or even save jobs. And on a bittersweet note, Bungie offered a farewell gift for their Destiny 2 fans as a 'thank you' for years of support before formally ending major updates for the game.

Kenny Albanese and Brady (FatePrime) join Kevin To talk about Metal Eden, a stylish and fast boomer shooter that came out just last year. First they talk about what they love about the core gameplay loop of shooting, running, and punching their way through hoards of enemies. They recognize how it features so many different aspects of some of the best shooters in the past few years, but it shows that the small team at Reikon Games knew what made all of those parts special. The three of them take a few minutes to try to make sense of the story, but even after a few playthroughs they still have a hard time piecing it together. That's not important though because what really matters is the gameplay and how much fun they had, even if there were a few bugs. They each have their own glitchy stories and some are much worse than others. Looking past those bugs is very easy though because they all agree that almost every weapon in the game is arguably a favorite and has a place in the regular rotation. There is a lot they all have to say about Metal Eden and if you haven't played it, we hope their enthusiastic discussion spurs you to try it. Give ‘em hell, Hyper.

Data from Circana shows a spike in PS5 hardware sales up until the first week of April (when prices went up in the U.S.), giving Sony their best hardware sales week in their gaming division this year. In other news, a new leak suggests the next God of War game will not only have a different character to focus on, but also feature multiple mythologies from Asia. According to the leak, Kratos' wife, Faye, will be the main character. And to round out our PlayStation-centric episode, new PS Plus games for May have been leaked, bringing Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered and more to the service.
