Czy wycięcie współczesnego wątku i nowy silnik graficzny wystarczyły, by Edward Kenway znów nas zachwycił?

Supergirl or Super girl? We have a full review of Supergirl, does it deserve all the hate? Xbox just unleashed a culling, and really they need to squash the rumors, and stop raising prices. Physical media is king, and we just multiple reasons for that, as the finger can be pointed purely at Sony.
The gaming world is in mourning following the death of Ubisoft co-founder Claude Guillemot, who was killed in a plane crash in western France at the age of 69. Guillemot, a key figure in the family-led company behind the Assassin's Creed and Far Cry franchises, was piloting his twin-engine Cessna 421 when the accident occurred. In other news, Valve has officially unveiled the pricing for its highly anticipated Steam Machine, which departs from the traditional "loss leader" console model. Starting at $1,049 for a 512GB model and reaching up to $1,428 for a 2TB bundle with a controller, the device is positioned as a premium Linux-based gaming PC rather than a subsidized console.

We gaan ervoor. The Dukes are finally reunited and what a week to do that! In a massive writeup on the Xbox Wire, we are seeing Asha Sharma and Matt Booty practically walk back on everything that the old regime stood for. Exclusivity is back under consideration, the "Microsoft Gaming" label is being ditched, and Xbox is focusing on their console. Just like old times! Perhaps most surprising with this blog post is the clear addressing of pain points for this brand: High prices, lacking PC presence, poor discovery tools, and most notably, disenchanted, frustrated players. The focus now for Xbox is daily active players. What does all of this mean and is this enough word salad to buy into? The globetrotting Dukes have you fine folks covered, so let's dig in. 2014 års Game of the Year.

Zo is daar iets wat wij even gekscherend PlayStation DRM-gate noemen.
On this episode of Geek Freaks Headlines, we break down Noah Hawley's latest comments about the upcoming Far Cry TV series and why the show will not directly adapt one specific game. Instead of retelling Far Cry 3, Far Cry 5, or another fan-favorite entry, Hawley appears to be building a new story around the core identity of the franchise: ordinary people pushed into violent, extreme situations under the influence of a charismatic and dangerous leader. The discussion also touches on Rob Mac's involvement, how the series could use the franchise's rebel-versus-oppressor formula, and why setting, tone, and casting will matter just as much as the villain. We also briefly look at Hawley's other major projects, including Alien: Earth, and what fans may want to hear next from the Far Cry production.00:00 Far Cry TV Series Will Not Directly Adapt the Games00:18 What Makes a Far Cry Story Work00:38 Rob Mac's Role and the Rebel Formula00:51 Noah Hawley's Schedule and Fargo Questions01:03 Alien: Earth Production Update01:20 What Fans Need to Hear Next About Far CryNoah Hawley's Far Cry series is expected to follow the spirit of the games rather than directly adapt one specific title. The show's focus seems to be on civilized people being pushed into brutal, dangerous situations.A major part of the Far Cry identity is a charismatic leader creating a cult-like or oppressive environment.Rob Mac is already attached to the project, raising questions about whether he could play a rebel-style character or someone caught inside the chaos. The biggest unanswered questions are the full cast, directors, episode count, and setting.Hawley is also balancing Alien: Earth, which is expected to begin a larger production this summer.“One of the common threads in all the Far Cry games is an extremely charismatic leader.”“He wants to tell a story about ordinary or civilized people being pushed into extreme situations.”“I was hoping they were going to do number five, but he wants to keep it fresh.”“You have charismatic leaders, but also very distinct locations.”“The next thing I want to hear out of the Far Cry series is additional cast.”For more geek culture news, quick updates, and deeper conversations on the stories shaping movies, TV, gaming, and fandom, subscribe to Geek Freaks Headlines.

Join Here: https://ow.ly/msoH50WCu0KIn this segment of Notorious Mass Effect, Analytic Dreamz breaks down Ubisoft's 2026 major reset—a sweeping organizational, operational, and portfolio overhaul announced to reclaim creative leadership and restore sustainable growth under CEO Yves Guillemot.Ubisoft has restructured into five decentralized Creative Houses, each with full ownership over specific genres and brands: Vantage Studios (CH1) scales AAA franchises like Assassin's Creed, Far Cry, and Rainbow Six; CH2 focuses on competitive/co-op shooters including The Division, Ghost Recon, and Splinter Cell; CH3 handles live-service titles such as For Honor, The Crew, Riders Republic, Brawlhalla, and Skull & Bones; CH4 drives immersive fantasy and narrative games with Anno, Might & Magic, Rayman, Prince of Persia, and Beyond Good & Evil; CH5 targets casual/family-friendly experiences like Just Dance, mobile hits, and licensed titles. This shift addresses escalating AAA costs, market competition, and trends toward mobile and Games-as-a-Service, prioritizing open-world adventures and GaaS-native experiences while investing in player-facing generative AI.The reset includes significant cuts: employee count reduced to 17,097 (from 20,729 in 2022, a net loss of 3,633), selective studio closures (including Halifax and Stockholm), and a "final" €200 million savings push, with €234 million more planned over two years. Six games canceled (including Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake and unannounced titles), seven delayed (potentially impacting Assassin's Creed projects and Beyond Good & Evil 2), and four new IPs in development (including March of Giants).Financially, expect short-term hits in FY2026-2027: €386 million gross margin reduction, €650 million R&D depreciation, and €350 million net bookings drop. A mandatory five-day in-office policy has sparked internal unrest and backlash against leadership.Analytic Dreamz explores the implications for Ubisoft's future, from agile decision-making and long-term sustainability to employee sentiment and investor reactions in this in-depth analysis.Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/analytic-dreamz-notorious-mass-effect/donationsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy
