Knapp eine Woche nach Remember Me erschien nämlich The Last Of Us - ebenfalls ein neues Franchise, das aber mit riesigen Marketingbudget all die Aufmerksamkeit auf sich zog, die Remember Me fehlte. Dazu kam ein knallhartes Suchmaschinenproblem, denn Remember Me teilte sich den Namen mit einer erfolgreichen Liebeskomödie. Glaubt ihr alles nicht? Wir können es beweisen - und zwar mit Insider-Infos! Denn Dom Schott, der diesen vergessenen Titel endlich nachholen will, hat sich Paul Kautz zur Seite gerufen, der zwar heute als Spielejournalist arbeitet, damals aber im Dienst von Capcom stand - und das Marketing für Remember Me übernehmen musste. Er hat miterlebt, wie aus dem vielversprechenden Titel ein Flop wurde und berichtet im Podcast von dieser heftigen Zeit.

Zum Beispiel mit Titeln wie POKÉMON MEISTERDETEKTIV PIKACHU oder DER SUPER MARIO BROS. FILM, wie der SONIC—Trilogie und ja, so viel Schmerz muss sein, auch wie BORDERLANDS. Dabei soll dann natürlich auch unter anderem geklärt werden, wie nah sich Adaptionen an die Vorlage halten sollen und ob nicht vielleicht die Serie doch das bessere Format für eine Spiel-Umsetzung ist. Dafür sprechen ja nun schon so einige gute Beispiele wie ARCANE, GANGS OF LONDON oder THE LAST OF US, denen Titel wie DER SUPER MARIO GALAXY FILM oder auch EIN MINECRAFT FILM vor allem nur Nostalgie und Fan-Service entgegensetzen. Ihr seht: ein umfangreiches Thema, bei dem sich richtig viel bequatschen lässt und bei dem wir Euch nun sehr viel Spaß und Anregung wünschen. In today's Daily Fix:The Last of Us live-service game was closer to release than was previously thought, with the game's former director saying it was about 80% completed before it was cancelled. The game had been worked on for years before Naughty Dog decided the company's resources would be better spent on another single-player game (which became Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet), than on multiplayer live-service title. In other news, Universal's The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is already breaking records, and it's only been out in the U.S. for a day. It's now the biggest Wednesday in April opening ever, beating out the previous record-holder, 2023's The Super Mario Bros. Movie. And finally, the original three Resident Evil titles (the 90s originals, not the remakes) are back on Steam, but with DRM.

In today's Daily Fix:Neil Druckmann shared some early concept art for The Last of Us Part 1, dating all the way back to 2003, ten years before the originally game debuted on PS3. But in the Instagram post, Druckmann mentioned the journey the franchise has been on, and "the few stops that remain," which has fans speculating that Part 3 could be in the works. Even if true, it may be a while, as developer Naughty Dog is working on Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, which has no release date. In other news, the popular Pokémon Pokopia is collabing with furniture giant IKEA, and Xbox is partnering with Fanta.
