Every person has a story, every person is a key, an answer to a problem in our families, communities, country - even the world! Our healing and our deliverance is not only for us, but for others. When YOUR chains are broken you can, in turn, help break someone else's chains - even the chains of many…
"Consequences are essential when someone refuses to take responsibility" ~ Henry Cloud. Have you ever been on a merry go round of behavior, relationships or mindsets that have proven detrimental to your mental, physical or emotional health and peace. A lot of times we expect the situation or person on the other end to change but what if we took the position that we too are responsible for the consequences we bear AND that we have the power to change the dynamic even if externally nothing changes?

Sometimes we as human beings can be so shady and judgy. What if we practiced intentionally approaching (a person, situation, circumstance) from another perspective? #beingananswer #mentalhealth #disability #neurodiversity #trauma #atypical #vialue #intentionalliving #purposedriven
I love how God places things in our path that are not obvious at all and how a simple decision to stop, inquire, investigate, or even enjoy, leads us to the answers we've been after.
Change is hard, and change after a storm, traumatic event or season is even more challenging. I'm going to do a series about different after effects or aftershocks following such a time period or season in one's life.
Have you ever been in a place where you wish everything would just freeze and give you a minute, a day, a week? What do we do when life doesn't give you time - time to grieve, time to rest, time to deal, time to heal...
Have you ever sat and pondered the difference between having freedom and being free? Did you know that we can have freedom and still not be truly free?

On the other side of why me, homeschooling, home life, etc. - I'm on all sort of topics today!
Have you ever asked God this question? I'm sharing a taping I did for another organization on Exodus 5:22-6:12.
It's great when you can walk into a new year feeling good, feeling happy, feeling like 'yes I'm in the place I wanted to be'. And even if you don't feel it, you can always choose to feel that even if it is just based on a vision that you have written and made plain.
This Christmas season has been a breathe of fresh air! Have you ever finally started to burst forth and it's like oxygen to your lungs?
The new year means different things for different people. Some are excited, anticipatory with a bring it on spirit and others are full of dread, disappointment, fear and anxiety. Yet others are complacent - it's just another day. I am one who looks forward to the cross over with anticipation how I will see God moving, uncovering more of who He has made me and what our journey together will unfold as well as looking back on all those same things for the past year and previous years. I don't feel disappointment necessarily of what I hadn't accomplished but how can I change or adjust for what needs to be accomplished. I bask in His grace but also make a plan to do my part. I look at the progress that I have made and far He and I have come together. It's like a time of stone markers and internal stillness so I can hear the nuggets and direction I am to take in different areas. How about you?
Have you ever been in a season where you say 'haven't I been here before' and you ask of God the same prayer that did not get you the desired results in the many times you've walked that path? Our inclination is to then be angry, yes I said angry, or disappointed with God but what I have learned...painfully, is my favorite statement 'ask a different question' and after the initial 'ugh!'...'what are you here to teach me this time?'. Submit, embrace, peace - these are words that you do not pair up with 'The Process' or 'The Valley' but God is never changing and what we can be sure of is that His plans and end result is always good - and that is not written 'feel good'. So what do you do when you are faced with the same doggone road again? Respect the process, learn how to walk and extract the lessons you are to learn so that when you appear there again - because you will - you can walk forward confidently instead of kicking and fighting to no good end.
Have you ever been waiting for God to change a situation, habit, circumstance...ahem, feelings before you can move? Sometimes He does but what I have experienced more so is Him moving after I already have committed to and taken the steps in moving in spite of whether or not He changes it, or them.
Taking time to reflect on where God has brought me from is a favorite pastime of mine!
Follow your heart is a cliche or saying that we all know so very well; but when it comes to living the life and being the version of you that God created, it is the worst advice that you can follow.
Why do you keep giving me kids with needs beyond the typical?! I had asked for the little ones that He purposed for me, that needed specifically who He made me to be as a mom but it wasn't what I expected. One day I lay aside my tears of confusion and frustration and instead asked in a moment of surrender...is this who you made me to be? #vialue #vialogue
We all usually have a map of how our lives are supposed to go but what happens when God is completely rewriting the script?
The words Happy Mother's Day can bring many different thoughts and emotions - happy, sad, angry, painful, ambivalent, numb - our feelings are as valid as each of our different life stories. #vialue
Divorce can be devastating but it can also be an opportunity to learn, grow and apply the wisdom gained the next time around. This episode of Vialogue welcomes Akebo Pugh for a whole meal on the lessons he learned Healing After Divorce! #vialue #vialogue #connectingthroughconversation
It is so amazing (and disturbing almost) how we put down or set aside what is within us because of...life and all the things, and then you come upon a THAT came from within ME?! The question then becomes: 'Now that I have been reminded, what do I do with it?' #vialogue #vialue
Easter Sunday is a celebration that Jesus rose up out of the grave! It was, and continues to be, a great gift to us but this Easter I wanted to look at things from a different perspective. I hope it connects you even more personally with just how much of a gift this really was... #vialogue #vialue
How you doin'? We are heading into the last month of the first quarter of the year and some of us may be beating ourselves up about what we haven't gotten done but let me ask you this: have you progressed even if it's just a little? It's okay to give yourself a little space and a little grace to figure things out. And don't be afraid to ask yourself the hard questions if need be such as, what is really preventing me from progressing in the way I would like? Part of giving ourselves grace is taking the time to figure out what we truly need to support our efforts toward our desired goals.
The stigma regarding mental illness is slowly being erased but there is still much to do! On this episode of Vialogue Accra speaks with Natasha Pierre regarding her personal journey of discovering/uncovering her diagnoses and how she has chosen not to hide it but use it as a lighthouse for others that are suffering. #vialogue #vialue #connectingthroughconversation
Your yes to God comes with provision but how will you react if it doesn't look the way you expect...or prefer. #Vialogue #Vialue
Like Mary, have you ever said yes to God - 'be it onto me!' - not many details required? Then reality hit and you are sitting in the gravity of your yes and what it entails? What did you do? Was your yes still yes - with the same vigor and enthusiasm - or did you start to look back toward the shore of familiar? Our yes to God a lot of times comes with #MoreRoomRequired. #vialue #vialogue
Divorce can be heartbreaking, messy - all the things. But do you know what else it can be? An opportunity to learn, grow and become a more empowered you! This episode of Vialogue welcomes author and life coach, Shanay Pugh, for a snack on the lessons she learned Rebuilding After Divorce! #vialue #vialogue #connectingthroughconversation
If you're like me you are all about getting things done but what happens when life, circumstances, etc. slow you down? It isn't always a bad thing to progress little by little...
What happens when life deals you a less than favorable hand before you even start? You write your own story! Join Vialogue as we talk with awesome young author, Dene Dessuit, and what she learned 'Through It All'... #vialue #vialogue
Waiting can be a word that we do not want to hear but waiting doesn't necessarily mean stagnation, boredom or unproductive. You can still make moves in the waiting.
Have you ever wanted to grow/change in an area but you just keep following the same old pattern of behavior? It may feel that this is just who you are but don't stop - wrestle with yourself if you have to but keep pursuing the you that YOU know you are meant to be. As with all things of value, it is a process but once you get there it will have been worth it.
To be or not to be? This question can be so black and white...either you're here or there - on this side or that - for or against. Make a decision! Make a choice! But what if the solution is...why not be both?
What if the very thing you are waiting on God to fix, He has already presented the answer...and it's you.
Many times we seek answers, solutions or direction but have we given an invitation for that which we seek. Walking with God is a continuous posture of connection, partnership and communication. I love walking with the Holy Spirit as my constant partner and love the many ways He communicates to me. What areas do you need to invite Him into today?
We had a great conversation with Rochelle Olibrice - owner and product developer of Amalise.com all natural hair and skincare products. Sometimes in new seasons of life we don't recognize ourselves. This can be good but what about when you don't recognize yourself in a way that you don't like?
We've reached out to teachers to have a conversation to assist in alleviating the additional stress of crisis schooling in this season. They have offered some helpful tips and perspectives to help parents facilitate an environment of peace and productivity. We hope you find it helpful! This time we had such a fun conversation with 13-year veteran teacher, Terisha Fahie (St. Thomas, VI - residing in VA) -
In this episode we are talking about the line between faith and acceptance...along with surrender to what God has in mind. Sometimes we are so bent on praying away the very things that are, in God's hands, actually a tool - a bridge - of hope, healing & deliverance for others...even if that healing doesn't come to you...in the way you desired.
A conversation with LaToya Robles (owner of The Salted Crust).

Have you ever had an encounter so powerful that it changed the path, direction and purpose of your life as you knew it?
Sometimes what we see as failure is preparation... In failure there are lessons, wisdom and experience but it can also produce fear. Fear to try again, fear that we're aren't good enough...that maybe we really didn't hear from God - many fears can arise out of failure. But if you purpose to not make fail-yours then you can extract the lesson and apply it the next time...because in whatever form it may be, there will be a next time.
Sometimes we are so busy standing still...trying to see around the corner. Trying to foresee dips in the road, roadblocks, and how we would overcome them, that we don't walk forward. It's in the walking forward unable to see beyond a certain point - beyond our strength, beyond our provision, beyond our knowledge...that we encounter God in a deeper way. We start to see HIS provision, HIS strength, HIS knowledge to guide us in the journey that He intended where we can look back and say that HE was the one that made it good.
Not everyone has strength like a lion...but strength is still strength. My fire may rise at the slightest improvication, yours may take a while. (and maybe some convincing) but we each have fire and strength for something. #dontcompare #Heknowsyouandlovesyou #youareenough #Hecanuseyouasyouare #vialue
