TECH CLUBBERS PODCAST W/ MAL_HOMBRE Mark Sweeney AKA MAL_HOMBRE has been DJ'ing since the early 90's and has been a Techno producer since 2015. Djing under his own name for most of his musical career, the name change came after living in Central America for 5 years and building up a passion for music production, once back in the UK it was then take to learn to produce and using the MAL_HOMBRE moniker from his time abroad. Mark has released on labels such as SLEAZE, Selected, Seclusion, Wunderblock and twice on Edit Select. The pinnacle was to signed up by Jeff Mills for his debut album on Axis Records. Regular on the playlist of DJ's such as Ben Sims and Dave Clarke, Mark also has an EP out illegal Alien Records. Our guests for this episode are Loch and Filip, AKA Dimibo. I've known Loch for around 7 years now, and I have an insane amount of respect for the dude. Filip on the other hand....haha just kidding, Fil is an absolute WIZARD on the production end of things, and it was so great to pick the brains of these two up and coming artists. I really believe these two are the next big thing, and I can't wait to see what the future holds for them. Both hailing from the Pacific Northwest, it wasn’t long before they sat down in the studio and started making music together. Their first song, ‘Shangri La,’ won them a trip to Las Vegas to perform at Electric Daisy Carnival as winners of Insomniac’s Discovery Project. However, this early success had to be put on hold. Not completely satisfied with their final product, they spent the next two years honing their production capabilities as well as their overall sound, and it is during this period that they discovered their mutual passion for psytrance. Their performance at a few select festivals followed by a release on the respected Brazilian psy label Alien Records caught the attention of a fellow producer who calls the Northwest home. Sharing a love of psytrance with Seven Lions, they collaborated on a massive remix of Excision’s 2016 dubstep monster ‘The Paradox.’ Deftly blending two seemingly incompatible genres, their Paradox remix immediately grabbed the attention of a wide range of listeners. With multiple tracks slated for upcoming release on Armada Music as well as Iono Music, it's safe to say that Dimibo is just getting started.

Tripo is Matan Shkalim, a Psytrance music producer born in Israel in 1991. Shkalim discovered the world of psychedelic music when he was 10 years old, and two years later he started to produce his own electronic music. By the time he was 19, he built his own studio and dove deeper into the world of Psytrance. His music has a unique and original sound, a mixture of various genres including uplifting trance, trap, techno and more. Each one of his tracks stays true to his personal musical style, but has a story of its own. In January 2017, Tripo released his first EP, Middle Eastern Nights, on German label SolarTech Records. After the EP went viral on social media, he dropped "The Anthem" that April on popular Brazilian label Alien Records. The single garnered support and recognition from many in the Psytrance community, including artists such as Azax, Belik Boom, and Vagus. A month later, he released his second EP, Unique Mode, on Alien Records to significant commercial success. In October, Tripo released his remix with Von Zeus for "Bazzar" (KSHMR and Marnik), receiving support from Vini Vici, Upgrade and KSHMR, and in December, he collaborated with Samra to produce another viral hit, “Selfie”.
