Pjevač u noći je romansa s elementima sapunice, on the road i epistolarno-detektivskog romana, u kojoj se ljubav u doba kapitalizma i zaborava propituje, dekonstruira, a možda i ponovo izmišlja kroz imaginarni dijalog i citatne naklone slavnim i manje slavnim pretečama (pjesnicima, piscima velikih ljubavnih romana, performerima, uličnim umjetnicima, filozofima). Listen now on Apple, Spotify, and YouTube.—Filip Cicek is a seasoned researcher with a Master's degree in Sociology and over 15 years of diverse experience spanning academia, non-profit, and business realms. Proficient in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, Filip leads Ruthless Insights, a cutting-edge consultancy specializing in UX and market research. In our conversation, we discuss:* How physical product research forces rigor, patience, and multiple rounds of muddy discovery.* The invisible weight of decision-making when mistakes cost millions and can't be undone.* What it takes to manage client expectations and stop pretending research can always be fast.* Why Filip left academia and started Ruthless Insights after getting fired and how he made it work.* The real challenges of agency work and how bad recruiting, rushed timelines, and AI shortcuts create sloppy insights. Some takeaways:* Physical product research demands rigor, not speed. When mistakes cost millions and there's no going back post-launch, teams take research seriously. Filip explains how physical product work forces multiple rounds of exploratory studies, each more focused than the last, until real confidence is built. There's no skipping the mess of qualitative research, no rapid sprints, no quick pivots, no AB tests. The trade-off? You get to do real, strategic work that actually gets used if you're willing to sit in the mud for a while.* Filip and Nikki both agree: multiple rounds of generative research can feel like an existential crisis. You finish each round with more questions than answers, stuck in abstract insights your stakeholders don't always want to hear. But those vague, frustrating truths are the only path to real product clarity, especially in high-stakes spaces. Researchers need to get comfortable with uncertainty and help clients understand that clarity takes time.* Many stakeholders just don't know what good research actually takes. It's your job to tell them. Filip's advice: don't agree to three-week timelines just to be helpful, push back with clarity. Clients don't need speed, they need to not be wrong. And when researchers stop overpromising and start managing expectations, trust and repeat work follow.* Ruthless Insights was built on rejection and a bet on honesty. Filip started his agency after getting fired and being told to “bet on yourself” by a client. That same client helped him name Ruthless Insights, based on Filip's refusal to sugarcoat tough findings. His whole model is built around doing the job well without padding the process or the price, no fancy office, no fluff, just clean, useful insight. It's not glamorous, but it's what keeps clients coming back.* Most people don't understand how hard research is until they try it. From clients underestimating how long recruitment takes, to stakeholders clinging to a single quote from an interview, Filip has seen it all. He's learned to pre-empt confusion by overcommunicating upfront, bringing recruiters in early, and walking stakeholders through the analysis process. He doesn't try to move fast, he tries to be accurate. And that's what builds a reputation that outlasts a slide deck.Where to find Filip:* Ruthless Insights* Statis-fact* LinkedInStop piecing it together.

The evolution of tattooing has been profoundly shaped by artistic trends and public perception, particularly in recent years. As discussed in the podcast episode featuring one of the world's most prolific and respected tattoo artists, Filip Leu, there has been a significant shift towards realism in tattoo art, which has gained popularity among both artists and clients. Aaron Della Vedova and Filip reflect on their early careers, noting that while there were many skilled tattoo artists, the quality of art varied widely, with a considerable number of less experienced practitioners. Today, however, the standards have risen dramatically, making it increasingly challenging for newcomers to distinguish themselves. In this episode, sponsored by Bishop Tattoo Supply ( https://bishoptattoosupply.com/ ), we dive into Filip's inspiring journey, a groundbreaking figure in the tattoo world known for his large-format body suits. Aaron also shares a personal reflection on how discovering Filip's work transformed his approach to tattooing, shifting from traditional small designs to ambitious, expansive compositions that beautifully adorn the human body. The episode highlights Filip's influence on artists and enthusiasts alike, celebrating his role as a hero in the tattoo community. Additionally, the host discusses the Tattoo Heritage Project, founded by Good Time Charlie, which is dedicated to preserving American tattoo history. Listeners are encouraged to explore the project's initiatives, including a traveling tattoo museum and the newly debuted film "Dare to Dream." Tune in for an episode filled with passion, inspiration, and a deep appreciation for the art of tattooing. It's like we're spending our whole careers figuring out what we didn't need to do." “The public is steering where tattooing is going." "I was taken aback that I didn't have, until now, The fucking balls to do that to somebody's body, because it's so individual, so distinct, such a statement, artistically speaking." "It's all a way for me to, or a person to say, look at me. I'm a unique individual. I'm not just a number. I'm different." "That's the other side of tattooing, the big fuck you." "What's the point of worrying about shit you can't fucking change or control?" "I refuse to feel guilty for the way I want to waste my life. It's my life to waste." "I guess for each person would have to answer that question. I'm thinking about myself right now and being honest enough to admit a lot of it, I think it's my ego." "I walked out of that afternoon like, oh my god, I'm a meat puppet. I'm a meat bag. Like, wow, this is not permanent." "A very sensitive art student would never have made it. He couldn't survive that environment." "I went back and cried in the hotel that night, told my mom I couldn't go back the next day, because I realized how shit I was." "It's when it goes all wrong, right, it's all pear-shaped, and suddenly you realize just what a fucked up, job it is. It's so hard." "Let go of all these dragons and demons and skulls and samurais and all this shit and let's just get into the beauty of decorating." "You'll fucking blow a line out, like, on a shin bone or something, like, you know, quickly." The official story has always painted Alex Acosta as the man solely responsible for Jeffrey Epstein's non-prosecution agreement, but that version is designed to mislead. Acosta was a mid-level figure, a convenient scapegoat set up to absorb public outrage while the real decisions were made in Washington. Attorney General Michael Mukasey, Deputy Attorney General Mark Filip, and other senior DOJ brass were the ones who met with Epstein's powerful legal team, signed off on the immunity clause, and ensured the deal protected not only Epstein but his co-conspirators. Acosta merely carried out orders that had already been determined above him, and when the truth started to unravel, he was offered up as the fall guy to shield the institution. The failure to subpoena everyone involved—from state prosecutors to Main Justice leadership—reveals that Congress is more interested in theater than accountability. By focusing blame on Acosta, the system preserved itself, kept survivors from the truth, and avoided admitting the uncomfortable reality that DOJ itself bent the law to protect a billionaire predator. True justice requires putting every official who touched the deal under oath, including Mukasey and Filip, to expose how the NPA was engineered. Until that happens, the scandal remains unresolved and the cover-up intact, with Acosta remembered not as the architect of Epstein's freedom, but as the shield sacrificed to keep the powerful safe.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.com

The official story has always painted Alex Acosta as the man solely responsible for Jeffrey Epstein's non-prosecution agreement, but that version is designed to mislead. The congressional hearings surrounding Jeffrey Epstein are less about justice and more about optics. Behind the staged outrage, secret depositions, and selective leaks lies a carefully managed narrative meant to pacify the public while protecting the powerful. Key figures tied to the original Non-Prosecution Agreement—Acosta, Mukasey, Filip, Menschel, Villafaña—have never been subpoenaed, a glaring omission that reveals the process is not about uncovering truth but about burying it. Rather than transparency, we are handed redactions, secrecy, and closed-door questioning that serve only to shield institutions complicit in Epstein's protection. What the public is witnessing is a modern-day bread and circus. Instead of gladiators, we are given congressional theatrics designed to create the illusion of accountability while ensuring nothing of substance changes. Survivors remain sidelined, critical testimony is hidden, and the system that enabled Epstein continues untouched. The hearings are not a path to justice but a spectacle of distraction, meant to drain outrage, exhaust demands for truth, and keep the machinery of power intact. Until the curtain of secrecy is torn down, accountability will remain an illusion.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.com
