The Flash is now the longest-running active show in the superhero genre. Chester P. Runk joined the show as a guest star in Season 6 and then became a series regular in Seasons 7 & 8, played by Brandon McKnight. Recently renewed for Season 9, McKnight joined the podcast to talk about his run on The Flash. In this episode, McKnight explained that he had auditioned for all of the CW Arrowverse shows, but that the Flash was his favorite. When he was hired, he read all of the comics featuring Chester. In the comics, Chester was a heavyset character named Chunk, and McKnight explained how the similarities are in name only. He explained that Chester's character is similar to the comics in name only and that the name is an homage to the source material. He also spoke about the titular star, Grant Gustin, and the idea of the long run of the series. McKnight is also an avid gamer and recently started a Twitch channel. He also discussed his experience with social media. Follow Brandon on Instagram @MrMcKnight, and on Twitch at https://www.twitch.tv/mcknighttime.

Cisco and Chester P. Runk start creating devices to detect Fuerza and Psych. While setting one near Chester's hometown, they are trapped in a time loop of the day before Chester's dad, Quincy, died in a car crash. With Quincy's help, Chester and Cisco build a device to detect and protect themselves from the "time god", Deon Owens, a high school quarterback who is attempting to prevent an injury that ruined his football career. Chester convinces him to let go his past and that the future remains unwritten, causing Deon to realize he can change everyone's futures before vanishing, ending the time loop, and returning Chester and Cisco back to the present. The two fail to find Deon, though they believe he is unaware of the Speed Force's revival. Cisco later discovers three other "forces" and names them Still, Strength, and Sage. Meanwhile, Barry emerges from his cryo chamber and Iris bonds with the Speed Force before inviting it to stay with her and Barry. Elsewhere, Chester begins working on his father's old project while Joe warns Frost of Kramer, though Frost refuses to hide.
Barry has to ask himself why "Grodd Friended Me". Barry's been struggling to adapt to a post-Crisis world. It becomes frustrating when old friends have become enemies, your team is off doing their own thing, and you have to rely on Gideon to help you feel better. But when Chester P. Runk tries to help, Barry's consciousness gets transferred into his old gorilla nemesis, Grodd. The feisty ape has been trying to escape his mental prison and convince the Flash that he has changed. Barry doesn't buy it. With a little help from the backup team at STAR Labs, he discovers that the only way he's going to escape is by teaming up with Grodd. Nash does a very poor job of revealing his personal truths to Allegra. And Iris is still trapped in the Mirror Dimension with a very nervous Eva McCulloch. But this mysterious woman is hiding more than Iris could imagine. Jay and Josh may merge into a very bizarre hybrid on this week's episode of Scarlet Velocity: A Flash Podcast!
The Flash, season 6, episode 6. Ralph and Barry go undercover into a giant Bond parody, Allegra meets Nash and learns what's really going on, and Chester P. Runk, black hole dude, bonds with Cecille. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/one-more/message
Dibney, Ralph Dibney has a "License to Elongate". That doesn't always mean that he's going to use his powers though. Sometimes it takes a little finesse. He takes Barry along on a mission to find Sue Dearbon at a party run by weapons dealer, Remington Meister. But Barry isn't used to doing things so slowly. So when his impulses get them caught, Ralph comes up with a much more spy-like plan to stop Meister from destroying Central City; truly the mark of a primary hero. Back at STAR Labs, Chester P. Runk emerges from his recovery chamber and tries to get back to his day-to-day life with the help of Cecile. And Nash uses Allegra as his main resource to get into the Monitor's underground vault. Problem is, he spills the beans about the whole team to Allegra. Jay and Josh are gettin' stretchy wit' it on this week's episode of Scarlet Velocity: A Flash Podcast!
Barry turns his attention to prepping Elongated Man for life after Crisis and without the Flash. Meanwhile, Cecile faces her own moment of self-discovery while helping a recuperated Chester P. Runk reclaim his identity.
In this week's episode of The Flash Podcast, Andy and Lacy get together as they review the sixth episode of season six of The Flash. Meanwhile, Nash asks Allegra for help in his quest to take down the Monitor. In the news session, they discuss the casting of Natalie Dreyfuss as Sue Dearbon who will appear in the second half of Season 6.
