The Waverider is flying us back to STAR Labs from Smallville.  Barry & Iris are sticking to cars and no superspeed during the pregnancy. They are off on a babymoon adventure. Cecile is trying to balance her work, superheroing, and family but it is not going well. She is sleeping at her office and work is causing her to miss important events. Allegra is there to help her get perspective.  Chuck is helping Mark to test Khione for powers. But they find none. Mark is living with regret for never telling Frost he lover her. He is projecting Frost on to Khione because he wants Frost to live on in her. She says Frost does live in him. Chuck sends the test results out for verficaiton. The Waverider is docked at STAR Labs in Central City. Red Death has speed hacked a satellite, and with the amplification of Gorilla Grodd's power, is creating her own global enforcers with the intent on wiping out crime. She sets a trap for Flash and his Rogues with Mark held as bait. Flash hasn't gained his speed back yet, and so feeling outgunned,  the Rogues abandon him. But after a talk with Joe, he goes to confront Grodd to gain his help by using the Speed Force spark to re-energize his own speed. Barry, the Rogues, and a sudden drop in by the real Batwoman, they manage to take down Red Death. Joe is taking Jenna to the country to raise her. Cecile will get to be a hero during the week and have dedicated family time on the weekends. Chuck and Allegra are moving forward with their relationship. The Waverider is docked at STAR Labs in Central City. Thank goodness Gideon and the Waverider are shielded from EMP's!  Red Death reveals that she is from a different timeline. She was adopted by the Wayne family and became Batwoman. Much like the Red Death in the comics, she got tired of criminals and wanted to prevent crime. Through studying other heros tech and meta powers, she was able to creat her own armor and Speed Force. Her timeline's Flash & Rogues didn't approve and fought back, starting a war that she couldn't win, so she tried to hide in the Speed Force but it rejected her artificial speed and threw her out into our world. She needs our Barry to open the portal to her timeline by using the Cosmic Treadmill as it needs organic speed force energy. Iris figures out her story, but before she can do anything, Red Death knocks her down and drags her to where Barry is held, forcing him to run or he loses her. After some convincing, Mark sneaks in to help Barry out and he chooses to switch sides. The Waverider is docked at STAR Labs in Central City, but we might need to take a trip to Gotham City. It seems that Team Flash has learned from Lucas Fox that Ryan Wilder a.k.a. Batwoman has been missing for a few weeks. The tech that Red Death's Rogues are using are based off of Wayne Enerprise designs but is way more advanced. Barry thinks Red Death (named by Goldface), is the new Negative Speedforce Avatar. But he has no clue yet that Red Death is Ryan. Red Death's Rogues have been gathering parts for a Cosmic Treadmill, but they need one more to finish it. Barry & Hartley bring together The Hotness, Chill-Blaine, and Goldface to steal the quantum vibration engine first. All is going according to plan, until Mark betrays them. It seems Red Death promised him a way to bring back Frost and he fell for it. We got to see Barry & Iris checking off another item on their babymoon list and they had good communication as a couple, whereas Chuck and Allegra need help in that department. The team was divided about who to bring back, Caitlyn or Frost. But Barry realized that Caitlyn made her choice and Snow deserved the same right. To Mark's dismay, Snow chose to live and took on her dad's name for her, Khione, which is the name of the greek goddess of snow. But we are wondering if Khione has the ability to control the weather... The new Fiddler was sent by Red Death to take Hartley's gauntlets. With Barry & Snow's help, Hartley made the right decision and saved his boyfriend and the club employees. But Captain Boomerang and Fiddler got away with the gauntlets. Red Death was stabilized and is now ready to take out revenge on the Flash. Kriss and Dpalm are back to review the latest episodes of Legends of Tomorrow and The Flash. On Legends, we see the trend continuing of the Legends being stuck in history and trying to keep a low profile but not pulling it off. The Legends are doing the thing that's always talked about in time travel. If you go back in time and see injustices happening, do you just sit back and not do anything because you need to "protect the timeline" or do you do the morally correct thing? We also see that evil Gideon has been busy and has created a team of evil robot Legends so that should be fun to deal with. On the Flash side our suspicious are confirmed. Joe West is dead. We're not the only ones just receiving that news as Barry is shocked to learn that Joe's been dead for 6 months. Of course for Despero this just just more evidence that Barry is going bad. Barry also lost his job because he's under investigation and Star Labs is condemned. To us, this all smells like Thawne. Thawne can't beat Barry one-on-one now and Thawne causing everything around Barry to collapse feels right up his alley. Smith made the announcement through a tweet on Monday afternoon, adding that he was in Vancouver, where the show films. Also featured in the tweet was a production draft for an episode from the show's upcoming season. The draft in his tweet shows that Smith will be directing the fifth episode of season three. Welcome to the DC TV Report for the week ending Saturday May 13th, 2017. As submitted by Edward O'Hare, nickname To Be Determined. 6 new episodes, only 7 and a half minutes! Almost all of our shows are in the home stretch now. Big reveals were dropped and storylines began to converge. Gotham: The Court of Owls covered up Uncle Frank's suicide and Kathryn asked Jim to prove his loyalty. Lee became suspicious of Jim after examining Frank's body. Babs told Ed she learned of a secret group running Gotham and Ed kidnapped the Mayor to try and find out. With some help from Tabitha, Jim convinced Ed to let the Mayor go and delivered Ed to the Court. Oswald and Ivy recruited Mr. Freeze and Firefly to join Pengy's crusade. Evil Bruce was having nosebleeds and Kathryn admitted to him that he's dying.  Evil Bruce then tracked down Selina and told her the truth. Selina told him he could never be a hero like real Bruce, was thrown through a window and surrounded by street cats. Last Minute Reveal: Kathryn introduced Jim to the Court and he put on an owl mask as their newest member!   Lucifer: Chloe and Lucifer investigated the murder of a private school admissions officer. Luci took Trixie along for recon and almost got her enrolled at the school. Chloe was happy Trixie opened up about her fears. Maze and Chloe crashed a parents gathering at the school and learned the murderer was a parent who slept with the gym teacher (I mean health and wellness mentor). Charlotte kept trying to scare and anger Lucifer into lighting the Flaming Sword of Eden. Lucifer spent the episode trying to learn to control his emotions and had a breakthrough when Dr. Laura got him to channel his pain. Unfortunately he was only able to light the sword for a brief moment. Charlotte was devastated but Amenadiel believed Luci just needs time. Last Minute Reveal: Charlotte stepped into the elevator, removed a bandage from her wrist and glowing light shot out of her wound! She is dying!    Supergirl: James was feeling guilty that the people he saved feared the Guardian. A shift in the atmosphere caused an alien woman's telekinetic powers to go out of control. The woman went into hiding but James found her son, Marcus, and bonded with him by talking about losing his dad and dealing with bullies. Marcus brought James and Winn to his mom and dozens of other aliens affected by the shift. With encouragement from James, Marcus was able to help everyone get control of their powers. The atmospheric shift was tracked to the trans-matter portal that Lena was building for Rhea. Kara, J'onn, and Mon-El confronted Rhea but got their asses kicked. The portal opened and a fleet of Daxamite ships came pouring in. Last Minute Reveal: Rhea teleported away with Mon-El and Lena as the skies of National City were swarmed by Daxamite ships!   The Flash: Turns out Savitar is a time remnant of Barry, who was abandoned by team Flash and committed himself to destroying Barry's life. To handicap Savitar, Barry let Cisco and Julian try to disable his short-term memory. Instead they accidentally wiped his entire memory. Barry screwed up court testimony, letting Heat Monger get released, but made Iris happy to see him so care-free and unburdened. When Savitar lost his memory too, Caitlin ran over to STAR Labs and helped fix Barry's brain. After Iris helped jumpstart his memory, Barry stopped Heat Monger from burning down an office building. The team begged Caitlin to stay, but she preferred the Killer Frost life. Meanwhile, Tracey continued her research and she and HR fell for each other. Last Minute Reveal: Tracey finished building the Speed Force bazooka, but the only energy source strong enough to power it is the Dominators' mind-control crystal, which is being protected by King Shark!   iZombie: Liv ate the brain of a hot mess who was offed by her neat freak roommate. After taking the cure, Major reveled in tasting food again, but slowly started to lose his memories, and got on a bus to Walla Walla to visit family. A rich guy offered Don a million bucks for a zombie cure. Don asked Ravi but got a no. Blaine and Peyton started living the happy couple's life, but when Blaine learned that Major took the cure, he admitted that his amnesia only lasted a few days and he has been lying for months. Ravi's cure works! Major regained his memories the moment he saw his mom. Liv was ecstatic but Ravi's office was ransacked and the cure was stolen. Last Minute Reveal: Major had to admit to Liv that he gave away the emergency dose of the cure Ravi gave him!   Arrow: Five years ago, Anatoly and Oliver arrived back on the island and planned Ollie's rescue and return home. Their plans were foiled by Kovar. In the present, a dead body encased in cement was delivered to Oliver's office. DNA and security video proved the body was a councilman that Oliver's father murdered 15 years ago. Thea returned to Star City. She and Oliver tried coming to terms with their father's legacy. Chase hired Derek Sampson to steal ingredients for a bio-weapon. The team took down Sampson and disarmed the weapon. Oliver dropped a bombshell about Chase's father and convinced him to surrender himself. Wild Dog got a hearing for custody of Zoe but, despite Quentin's begging, Rene got cold feet and did not show up. Last Minute Reveal: As Oliver gave a press conference about his father's culpability, Adrian Chase watched from his prison cell and smiled. What's up his sleeve?!

The DC TV Report for the week ending Saturday April 1st 2017, featuring recaps for Supergirl, The Flash, DC's Legends of Tomorrow, Arrow, Powerless, as submitted by Edward O'Hare (nickname To Be Determined): Supergirl: Someone put a contract out on Supergirl and alien bounty hunters started attacking Kara. Turns out Mon-El's mom, Rhea, put out the bounty. After Rhea attacked Kara with a Kryptonite sword, Mon-El agreed to rejoin the fam in exchange for Kara's safety. J'onn warned Kara and the gang not to go after Mon-El because President Marsdin said so. The team said “screw that”, used a Stargate (I mean… teleportal gate thingy) Winn souped up to attempt a rescue mission, and Mon-El's dad, Lar Gand, realized Earth makes Mon-El happy and let him go. Alex and Maggie bumped into one of Maggie's ex-girlfriends and Alex spent the whole episode forcing Maggie to re-open old relationship wounds. By the by, President Marsdin is actually an alien. Last Minute Reveal: Rhea stabbed Lar Gand in the heart and she is not done with planet Earth!   The Flash: Abra Kadabra was running around Central City stealing from tech companies. Gypsy came hungry to take down Magic Boy for killing her former partner. After being captured, Abra Kadabra offered info on how to defeat Savitar in exchange for freedom. Caitlin took some shrapnel to the stomach, and rather than using her Frost powers to heal, she stayed awake and talked Julian through surgery removing the shrapnel. Barry decided to let Gypsy take Ab Kabs away instead of getting the dish on Savitar. Cisco and Gypsy are not so hot an item anymore. HR was away with a new girlfriend all episode. Barry thinks he can learn how to beat Savitar by running to the future. Last Minute Reveal: Caitlin went into cardiac arrest and died! Julian removed her anti-meta necklace and she woke up, but now she's gone full Killer Frost!   DC's Legends of Tomorrow: It's Doomworld! The Legion of Doom controlled the world and all the Legends were scattered around with their minds wiped, working crummy jobs. Heat Wave was bored of constantly winning, saved Steel from getting killed for figuring out the truth, and used a multiplexer gun the Atom invented to restore all the Legends memories except for Dr. Stein. The Reverse Flash made Dr. Stein create a generator that could destroy the Spear of Destiny. The Legends and the other LoD members all tried to stop Reverse Flash from destroying the Spear but ultimately failed. The Legends now want to try a do-over in World War I. Rip was drunk, baking cakes on the Waverider until Gideon helped him figure out a way to send a distress signal. Last Minute Reveal: The Waverider is a small model ship on Reverse Flash's desk in STAR Labs!   Arrow: Five years ago, Anatoli convinced Oliver to pull a heist for pharmaceuticals to help a hospital before he left Russia for good. In the present, Ollie packed up HQ, told the team to get out, and hired Anatoli and the Bratva to kill Adrian Chase. Diggle wasn't having any of it, kept the team together, and slowly wore down Oliver until he decided to take up the good fight again. Ollie led the team on a mission to stop the Bratva from stealing drugs and Anatoli felt betrayed. Felicity continued working with Helix, and with a huge assist from Mister Terrific, she was able to decrypt video proof Adrian Chase is Prometheus. Last Minute Reveal: Chase killed the Feds protecting him, stole their car and drove right past the SCPD squad cars coming to arrest him!   Powerless: Crimson Fox announced that she was leaving Charm City and taking her talents to Metropolis (adjacent). Emily signed herself and Jackie up for a self-defense class. Jackie blew off the class because she was driving for Uber to get some extra cash to pay for her daughter's school trip, which Emily found out was bogus when she tried to give money to the teacher. Jackie was furious, but after Jack O'Lantern destroyed her car, she admitted that she's taking MBA classes and would still be Emily's friend as long as she turns the volume down on her excitement. Van interrogated everyone trying to figure out who used his private bathroom and left a magazine behind. Turns out no one used the bathroom. Jackie used the magazine to swat a bee that caused Van to squeal and hide. Last Minute Reveal: There was hours of footage showing everyone at the office using Van's bathroom but Peter the janitor deleted it all because Van kept calling him Pedro!

That all changed when Juliana Harkavy was added to the cast as Dinah Drake, otherwise known in the comics as the first Black Canary. That's something of interesting flaw in continuity, so will it be something that Supergirl will address? According to executive producer Andrew Kriesberg: it won't be. According to Kriesberg, “the problem with that is if we do that once, we're going to open the floodgates of insanity." According to Kriesberg, it would take “a really good story” for Supergirl to get alternate versions of Barry or Oliver on the show; or conversly, an alternate version of Kara on Earth 1. Makaro. The team has been in flux all season, with Diggle being out for certain periods of time, Artemis betraying the team, and the loss of Ragman. Curtis and Wild Dog have managed to stick around, though, and the team seems poised to finally get a new Black Canary full time. "I'm old, so what does this mean? It means that I grew up on St. Elsewhere and Picket Fences and LA Law. I grew up in a time where it was commonplace, like literally every week, for a one-hour drama to tackle the issues of the day. Somewhere along the line we got away from that -- like, the whole industry got away from that. And now you've got like Blackish and Carmichael Show, but as far as network dramas are concerned? Really not tackling current events, current issues. So we went into season 5 with the desire to. It's the fifth season; we've hopefully earned the freedom to, in 23 episodes of television, you can have 22 episodes of candy and one episode of vegetables. We sort of felt that gun violence felt like the right topic, because of its topicality but also because of the level of gun violence that's on Arrow. We could have done an episode on abortion, but that's not really where the show lives, so gun violence sort of felt like the right thing to tackle." Diggle was freed last week, and Oliver said to him 'You can go home and hug your wife and son.' So that's a real viable part of Diggle that we have always seen on camera, but it would be nice to see more because he's married to the leader of the Suicide Squad. What does that play out? How does that look? What are those conversations like? We have all the elements of it... I think we have the makings of it. ARGUS is a real viable part of our whole universe, of Legends, Flash, and Arrow. (Date: 16 Feb 2017) The CW has now released a new batch of photos from "Attack on Gorilla City," including the first two images of Solovar. As you can see, Solovar — who is being voiced by Keith David (The Thing, Community) — is being depicted as a giant, white gorilla. That's a noticeable departure from his comic book counterpart, who looks like a regular gorilla but wears a fancy red cape. Variety reports Greg Berlanti's “Black Lightning” just received an official pilot order from the network. This indicates that Diamond expect a certain amount of returnability, but not that much. Well, it seems that DC Comics seems to have overdone it this time. They made the first six issues of all the DC Rebirth twice-monthly launch comics returnable, more than ever before. Ostensibly to allow retailers to find a ceiling limit on sales to customers, to not have to order conservatively, and to be confident in ordering big. Which has allowed certain titles that had slipped away in recent years, specifically Superman and Flash, to find an appreciative audience.However, there is a cost for that kind of thing. And while sales of DC Comics are also up, so is the returnability, at record high levels, and something DC and Diamond didn't anticipate. Which is why those pallet photos are meant to be quite a revelation. Could this be why the Diamond 2016 end-of-year statistics have been so delayed? The last time we saw the city on Arrow was when Esrin Fortuna helped Oliver take on Damien Darhk...and of course, when Hub City started to show up in showrunner Marc Guggenheim's tweets this year, there was plenty of speculation that he was teasing The Question. Turns out, he was teasing the Black Canary! BIG BELLY BURGER - Big Belly Burger, a fictional fast-food restaurant in the DC Universe, is the fast food of choice for people who are in hiding, in jail, or otherwise cut off from the world on The Flash. Here, we saw Team Arrow hanging out there in Hub City while Felicity got it delivered to her in the Arrowcave during her side quest. FAMILY SECRET - When Talia refers to her agelessness as a "family secret," it's the kind of cutesy clue that Nyssa used to drop in her early appearances, where she didn't directly name-drop Ra's al Ghul or the Lazarus Pit, but made references that were pretty clear to people in the know. Back then, of course, we always wondered whether Ra's would ever make an appearance. Now, he's come and gone, and we know that this kind of vague dialogue is mostly to keep continuity tidy so that Oliver doesn't realize exactly who he's dealing with when Ra's and Nyssa come in later. THE FLASH & CAPTAIN SINGH - In what Marc Guggenheim tweeted was the quickest crossover Arrow has ever done with The Flash, we got to see Barry speed (in costume) into his boss's office to vouch for Green Arrow. What's nice to see is Captain Singh, Barry's boss, who hasn't been seen much this season. It felt a bit like last night, when the long-absent Miss Tessmacher from Supergirl had a quick cameo on The Flash. SONUS - Sean Sonus, alias Discord is a sonic villain who fights Green Arrow and Black Canary. He first appeared in Green Arrow and Black Canary #15, and was co-created by Arrow EP Andrew Kreisberg and artist Mike Norton. DINAH DRAKE - "Dinah Drake" is actually the name of the original/Earth-2 Black Canary, who existed in the comics before Dinah Lance did. ARROW NEWS:   New Arrow Episode Gets A Russian Title As It Begins Production (Date: 30 Jan 2017) Marc Guggenheim, the show's executive producer, shared a cover of the new episode's script, and let fans know that it was beginning production. Episode 17 will be titled 'Kapot', which is a Russian word meaning 'cowl' or 'hood'. This footage was seen in 2012, and it talked a lot about Oliver Queen's return to the real world, after he was thought to be dead. The trailer shows Oliver on the island, beard and all, as well as his assimilation back into society. If that sounds familiar, that's because Dinah Drake is the name of the original Black Canary. Dinah debuted in 1947's “Flash Comics” #86 as Black Canary. Later, she married a man named Larry Lance and subsequently changed her name to Dinah Lance. Inspired by Dinah, her daughter Dinah Laurel Lance would go on to become a founding member of the Justice League. When the New 52 restarted DC Comics' continuity, the Black Canary legacy was retconned, and Dinah Drake was restored as the one and only Black Canary. (Date: 01 Feb 2017) Helix was a supervillain group led by Dr. Benjamin Love, aka Mr. Bones. The members were six mutated children who had been experimented on and then kidnapped by Love. They grew up to be a rather bizarre cast of characters, including Kritter (a human/dog hybrid) and Baby Boom (a young child who can cause explosions with her mind). It's safe to assume that any future appearances of Helix will certainly be way more grounded in reality - with any mention of the original characters probably being used as online screennames. This is similar to the inclusion of the secret organization Shadowspire in Arrow, which was given a much more realistic makeover. When recently discussing the dynamic between Felicity and Diggle going forward, Arrow executive-producer Wendy Mericle mentioned that the events in 'Second Chances' will play into the rest of the season. "Part of what kicks [Felicity] off down this darker path is she's going to find evidence to exonerate him -- and [Diggle's] going to have to deal with the fallout of the fact that Felicity is now going down a questionable path in part because of him." With that in mind, there's a very good chance that tonight's episode will not be the last time we hear of Helix on Arrow. Heroes Unite.” In the episode, a White Martian arrives in National City to capture M'gann and return her to Mars, where she's to be punished as a traitor. Unwilling to allow that to happen, Hank Henshaw and Supergirl bring M'gann to the Department of Extra-Normal Operations for protection, only for circumstances to turn from bad to worse. So there's a fair amount of Flash-ness going on in Legends. I wish I could say that we were so smart to take advantage of the new timeslot and do that, but we weren't that smart. We just had already sort of been doing that organically anyway when we found out about the new timeslot. As for when we'll get to see the duo in action, it looks like episode twelve, titled "Untouchable," is a good bet as it'll feature a subplot with the Scarlet Speedster helping Kid Flash elevate his game to the next level. Details on his return are still scarce, but the actor gave EW a little tease of what to expect. “I was there last week,” he shared at Honda's “Hockey Goes Hollywood” event in Los Angeles. “I can tell you that my scenes are with Grant [Gustin] and Danielle [Panabaker]. And I may or may not be alive.” That last part is key, considering the last we saw of Ronnie, he died as a result of destroying the singularity that opened up the path to Earth-2, where that planet's Ronnie was a villain named Deathstorm. Being back on Flash is always a treat for Amell, who got to catch up with his TV wife and former superhero partner and have his first true Ronnie and Barry scene. The project comes from Greg Berlanti, king of the CW's DC universe. Fox brass ultimately decided that the superhero show was not a good fit. The CW is home of Berlanti Prods.'s four DC/WBTV superhero series —  Supergirl, Arrow, The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow, which Berlanti also co-created. That makes the network a suitable home for Black Lightning, which would give the CW's DC universe its first major African American superhero. Black Lightning would be the only black superhero toplining his own broadcast series and the second currently on TV, joining Marvel's Luke Cage on Netflix.
