Dans la famille Mordillat, après Gérard , voici Georges, le frère aîné, que treize années séparent du cadet. Deux parcours, deux vies très différentes : l'un a été ajusteur outilleur, ouvrier de pointe capable d'usiner des pièces au centième de millimètre près, qui a fini sa carrière comme chef de l'atelier de mécanique générale du centre de recherche de la CGE —  un centre extrêmement réputé  ; l'autre écrit des livres et fait les films… l'un et l'autre ont surtout des souvenirs incroyablement différents quant à leurs parents, Madeleine et Georges. Georges Mordillat a fêté ses 90 ans le 19 juin 2026. Quatre-vingt dix années de souvenirs mélangés, douloureux parfois, où une tante d'un côté, un oncle de l'autre, faisaient office de "parents bis".Quelques précisions "notes de bas de page" :• La ville de Blomar, où le jeune Jojo passe les années de guerre, est située dans l'Allier, à une cinquantaine de km de Moulins.• Le « 222 », c'est le 222 de la rue des Pyrénées, où habite la famille Mordillat• Le film Back Street, en français Histoire d'un amour, est l'adaptation d'un roman à succès américain de Fannie Hurst, porté à l'écran une première fois en 1932, puis en 1941, et enfin en 1961.• Un « bénard », c'est un pantalon, en argot ! (une limace c'est une chemise ; il n'en est pas question dans l'entretien, mais ça peut servir)• Le Cinéac était accolé à l'ancienne gare Montparnasse – il a été détruit dans les années 70, quand cette gare a été rasée pour laisser place à la merveille actuelle.
