Ce lundi 7 juillet, l'autorité a confirmé avoir délivré six licences, dont celle de Vicky Ruhee. Contacté par téléphone, le propriétaire de la casaque vert‑émeraude affirme que son établissement a coché toutes les cases pour être éligible à la licence et se réjouit de cette nouvelle. Le jeune entraîneur dit pouvoir compter sur un effectif de 17 à 18 chevaux pour tirer son épingle du jeu.

Futureproof Clare (FPC), a grassroots environmental group active in Clare and the Shannon region, recently made a submission to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to object to the renewal of the Aughinish Alumina (AAL) dredging and dumping at sea licence. The EPA has granted a new licence to Russian-owned alumina refinery to extend its dredging operations around Foynes port and to dump dredged materials at a new dredging site near Foynes Island. The 10-year dredging and dumping at sea licence was granted by the EPA despite local objections from individuals and groups expressing concerns for the wellbeing of the Shannon Estuary. In early June 1994, 23-year-old Christene Skubish and her 3-year-old son, Nick, vanished near Bullion Bend on U.S. Route 50 in the Sierra Nevada. After days of searching turned up nothing, a local motorist, Deborah Hoyt, reported seeing a naked young woman lying on the roadside in the dead of night. Trade and Industry Minister Parks Tau was “surprised” by the links of Deputy President Paul Mashatile to the new Lotto licensee appointed by him at the end of May. So says Toby Chance, the Democratic Alliance (DA) spokesperson on Trade, Industry and Competition, after the Minister was questioned today. “Minister Tau didn't appear to be aware of it, which raises serious questions of due diligence in the Lottery adjudication process.” Chance says there are lots of unanswered questions “and unfortunately, it's a classic case - yet again - of how State Capture and corruption works. It's a dubious connection between politicians, business people and public officials. which has led to the downfall of so many of our institutions.” Chance adds that the corruption charges laid against the Deputy President by the DA over a year ago are still pending. “And so I think that what Mr. Tau is able to uncover, if he does go ahead with this investigation into Sizekhaya's shareholding, could be the beginning of a slippery slope for the Deputy President.”

In March 2015, a car carrying 25-year-old Lynn Jennifer Groesbeck and her 18-month-old daughter, Lily, plunged off a bridge into the icy Spanish Fork River in Utah. The crash went undiscovered for nearly 14 hours—until local fishermen spotted the overturned vehicle. When four police officers arrived to investigate, each would later report hearing a distinct female voice calling for help. The voice led them to the wreckage, where they found Lily still alive, suspended upside-down in her car seat just inches above the freezing water. Her mother had died on impact. The haunting nature of the rescue—the chilling voice no one can explain. Was it adrenaline, shared hallucination… or something beyond?
