The U15 girls gaelic football team have decided to do a sponsored 48 hour phone free weekend. Phones will be handed over to team mentor on Friday July 8th at 7pm and returned 48 hours later on Sunday July 10th at 7pm. In this episode I spoke to Chris Flack, Design Director at Strategy Creative in Christchurch. Strategy Creative is a proudly independent full service design led advertising agency, with studios in Christchurch, Wellington, Sydney and Tokyo.
Chris spent the first fifteen years of his career working in senior sales roles for large tech companies including Capgemini and Avnet. He experienced negative impacts of information overload, and witnessed how distraction and an ‘always on’ culture has changed the lives of many people. His vision for UnPlug is to combine his experience, skills and knowledge working with a team of behavioural change experts to develop evidence-based programmes that allow people to engage effectively with technology – maximising the positive benefits while minimising the negatives.
