Can technology truly enhance athletic performance, or are athletes becoming overly dependent on data? Join us as we explore how tech overload affects endurance athletes, sometimes hindering performance by drowning them in a sea of metrics. We share personal experiences and introduce Product 28, an initiative urging athletes to unplug, trust their instincts, and focus on the essence of training, much like the precision required in NASCAR, where only a few key metrics really matter. From primitive tracking tools to social media-like community hubs, training platforms like TrainingPeaks and Strava have revolutionized how athletes engage with their routines. We examine the cultural shift they've sparked—where sharing workouts has become as anxiety-inducing as missing them. Strava's evolution, in particular, serves as a fascinating case study of how gamification and social sharing reshape training behaviors, often prioritizing social validation over personal fitness goals. Data paralysis is real, and it's reshaping athletic training. Athletes can find themselves overwhelmed by sleep trackers, HRV graphs, and AI-driven workouts that make decisions for them, leading to outsourced decision-making and a disconnect from their intuition. We recount a personal tale from the 2009 Ironman Coeur d'Alene that underscores the value of listening to one's body over blindly following data. Through this narrative, we highlight the importance of balancing technology with personal insight for a more fulfilling training journey.

Send us a textEver wonder what happens when digital innovation meets the human need for connection? In this special episode of Web3 CMO Stories, the tables are turned as our usual host, Joeri Billast, becomes the guest, sharing his insights on the Cryptopolitan podcast (hosted by Earl Flormata) about his exciting Web3 ventures.Joeri takes us behind the scenes of Sintra Synergies, his innovative "anti-conference" retreat in Portugal where Web3 and AI founders escape the digital noise to connect authentically in nature. The conversation reveals a fascinating trend in the Web3 space: as AI accelerates, the value of human connection grows exponentially. "We see the trend of AI, Web3 converging. People use a lot of AI to automate and the human touch is a bit lacking," Yuri explains, highlighting why his nature-based retreat fills a crucial gap.Beyond the retreat, Joeri shares his work with RYO from Japan, his advisory role with Secrets Vault's innovative seed phrase protection solution, and his passion for connecting people through content creation. The discussion unveils practical wisdom about building "digital real estate" through consistent content creation and overcoming perfectionism with a simple mantra: "Bring your message, even if you think that no one is listening. There is always someone listening."The conversation offers particularly valuable guidance for content creators struggling with writing blocks. Joeri's personal story of converting a two-year writing struggle into a published book in just three weeks by speaking rather than writing demonstrates how limitations can become strengths. "What you think is a weakness can then become a strength," he says, using his non-native English accent as an example of a distinctive asset that helps people remember him.Connect with Joeri on LinkedIn to learn more about his Web3 ventures, and don't forget to subscribe and leave a review if you found value in today's insights. In this landmark sixth chapter of The Journey Beyond Death, we begin a new arc titled “Mystics & Seers” by welcoming two of the most piercing voices in spiritual inquiry: Jeff Berwick and Shunyamurti. Together, they unravel what lies beyond this world—and how to reclaim the truth buried beneath illusion. Jeff Berwick, founder of The Dollar Vigilante, challenges the very nature of reality. Is this world a divine simulation? Is death just a shift of levels in a cosmic game? Through years of intensive meditation and consciousness experimentation, Berwick offers raw, revolutionary insights: that fear is programmed, death is misunderstood, and freedom begins when the mind surrenders. Shunyamurti, spiritual director of the Sat Yoga Ashram, takes us even deeper—into the still center of being that never dies. With razor-sharp clarity and mystical presence, he explores why the soul incarnates, how ego fragments the Real, and what it means to awaken before death. His message: You are not the body, not the mind, not even the story. You are the eternal light watching it all. This episode is not for the casually curious. It's for the seeker standing at the threshold, ready to cross. Death is not the end. It is the illusion we must transcend to truly live. ------------------------------ Featuring in order of appearance 01:00 - Metaphysical Seeker & Sovereignty Advocate Jeff Berwick 44:00 - Spiritual Master & Founder of the Sat Yoga Institute Shunyamurti -------------------------------- Jeff Berwick is a financial iconoclast, spiritual truth-seeker, and founder of The Dollar Vigilante. After building and selling Canada's largest financial website, Stockhouse.com, Berwick spent years traveling to over 100 countries—seeking freedom, truth, and a deeper understanding of reality beyond the mainstream matrix. One of the first analysts to call Bitcoin at $3 and Ethereum at $2, Berwick also teaches that we're living in a cosmic simulation—a spiritual “video game” where awakening means reclaiming our power from fear, control, and illusion. Through his media platform Vigilante.tv, bestselling book The Controlled Demolition of the American Empire, and his annual Anarchapulco conference, Berwick fuses financial independence, metaphysics, and radical self-liberation. Website: TV Channel: ----------------------------- Shunyamurti is a renowned spiritual teacher, yogi, and founder of the Sat Yoga Institute and Ashram in Costa Rica. Drawn to the path of inner liberation from an early age, he immersed himself in advanced practices of meditation, self-inquiry, and multiple yogic disciplines. His training included an apprenticeship with Baba Hari Dass, extensive study of Sri Ramana Maharshi's teachings, and over a decade of committed spiritual life in a Brahmachari ashram in India. Shunyamurti's wisdom synthesizes the core insights of Advaita Vedanta, Shaivism, and Buddhism with Western psychoanalytic traditions, transpersonal psychology, and mysticism. He has also explored altered states of consciousness through entheogens and integrated learnings from esoteric traditions like Taoism, Kabbalah, and mystical Christianity. Through his talks, writings, and intensive retreats, Shunyamurti offers a transformative path for those seeking inner silence, self-realization, and the transcendence of ego. Three powerful takeaways from our Easter holidays—lessons about mindset, risk, and meaningful connection. From a life-changing mindset shift at the Easter Show to a serious accident that reinforced the importance of risky play, plus a week without screens that revealed what kids really crave, this episode is packed with insight and inspiration for every parent. KEY POINTS: Mindset shapes experience: The same event can feel completely different when approached with a different attitude and realistic expectations. Risky play matters: Children need opportunities to push boundaries and take risks—it builds resilience, courage, and learning, even when things go wrong. Time is everything: What kids really want from us isn’t perfection—it’s time. Unplugging from screens and slowing down creates space for meaningful reflection and connection. QUOTE OF THE EPISODE:“What our kids actually want and need… is just time.” RESOURCES MENTIONED: Explore–Explain–Empower framework (Justin Coulson) happyfamilies.com.au ACTION STEPS FOR PARENTS: Check your mindset before heading into family events—set realistic expectations and choose connection over control. In a world where parenting collides daily with cultural shifts, political tensions, uncertainty and a relentless stream of information, overwhelm is increasingly a common emotion. How can parents stay grounded—and help their children do the same?In this episode of the Where Parents Talk podcast, host Lianne Castelino and Arron Neal —a communications expert, cultural strategist, columnist and mom of two— explore strategies for how today's parents can thoughtfully navigate the pressures of raising kids in an increasingly noisy world. From screen time and social media to misinformation, identity, and consent, Arron shares strategies for managing overwhelm, staying present, and modelling critical thinking. Learn how intentional disconnection, open dialogue, and curiosity can become powerful tools for building emotional resilience in your family. What You'll Learn:✅ How to counter overwhelm in a 24/7 digital culture✅ Why stepping back from screens strengthens family connections✅ Tools for raising kids who question what they see and hear✅ The importance of discussing social and political issues at home✅ How to nurture independence and emotional wellness in tweens and teensTakeaways: In today's digital age, it's essential to prioritize both emotional and physical health by intentionally disconnecting from devices to foster family relationships. As parents, we must model curiosity and critical thinking in our children's media consumption, ensuring they understand the motives behind the messages they receive. Engagement in public discourse is crucial; it empowers us to navigate the complexities of communication, especially when discussing political and social issues with our children. Ignoring difficult conversations about societal issues can harm our children's understanding; it's our responsibility to guide them through the noise of misinformation. The intersection of parenting and technology requires us to create a culture of digital mindfulness, encouraging our kids to engage thoughtfully with social media. To successfully navigate life's challenges, instilling a sense of independence and discipline in our children will help them make informed choices in their future relationships. What happens when a group of teenagers go without their smartphones for four weeks? Journalist Decca Aitkenhead found out when she devised an experiment to ban her two sons and eight of their friends from using their phones for four weeks. Initially, as you might imagine, there were protests. “You've got to joking” said fourteen year old Jake. But after the four weeks of allowing only one hour a day on a smartphone and the other twenty-three hours on a call and text only Light Phone, you need to hear what the kids had to say. One of the teens said, “Thank you so much for including me in this. It was way better than I expected it. I'm really glad I did it.” Another 14-year -old, admitting that he struggled at first, said, “But then, you begin to notice things. You start to see what's going on on your smartphone doesn't matter. You'll never say on your deathbed, I wish I'd spent more time on my phone.” Parents, why not arrange a smartphone sabbath for your kids?

SolutionsYou can take action today! Depending on your commitment level, there are multiple ways to achieve measurable reductions in WiFi radiation in your home. Whether you're not quite ready to completely move away from WiFi or you want it gone from your home immediately, here are proven tactics for every situation.Tuning ForkReduce WiFi Sources in Your HomeUpgrade to a WiFi router that eliminates the continuous beacon signal and reduces radiation intensity during data transfers. These routers also offer features like adjustable transmission power and Eco modes, minimizing EMF emissions when not in use. Combine with items 2-4 below if desired.Unplugging your router when not in use, especially overnight, can significantly reduce your exposure to WiFi radiation. Even if you leave WiFi on during the day, turning it off while you sleep reduces exposure by around one-third, without costing anything. This simple step minimizes the constant emission of RF radiation from the router during times when internet access is not needed.A more convenient way to turn your WiFi on and off increases the chances you'll use it regularly, thus maximizing the reduction in EMF exposure. Cheap, easy, effective. You can further reduce WiFi radiation exposure by turning off WiFi on your devices when you're not actively using them. This simple step lowers the amount of radiation your devices emit. Plus, it's completely free—you just need to remember to do it!Purchase an adequate RF meter and learn the basics of RF hygiene through a one hour consult in order to locate other WiFi sources in your home.Reducing audio and video resolution can lower data usage by up to 50 times, significantly decreasing RF radiation emissions. This is because high-definition content, like 4K video (or high-res audio), requires much more bandwidth—up to 25 Mbps for 4K video compared to around 0.5 Mbps for 360p. The higher the resolution, the more data bursts occur, both in frequency and overall volume, leading to increased RF radiation. Lowering video or audio resolution is a simple, free and immediate way to reduce exposure.Eliminate WiFi Sources in Your HomeGo from wireless to wired computing, eliminating 100% of WiFi radiation from your router and your computer. Once installed, don't forget to turn-off the WiFi on your device(s).Purchase an adequate RF meter and learn the basics of RF hygiene through a on Hey this is Keith, this month I'm sharing 3 recent episodes from the EMF Remedy Premium podcast so you can see what we've been up to recently -- behind the pay wall.As I record this brief announcement, we have 118 episodes carefully crafted to support both the winning mindset and technical tactics needed to survive the now ubiquitous electromagnetic poisoning. Two new changes to our podcast subscription model -- We're now offering a 7-day free trial, for thoseSupport the showContinue the journey with the EMF Remedy Premium Podcast, with over 110 episodes and counting! Janet Michael welcomes listeners to another episode of The Valley Today, featuring Christa Shifflett and Celeste Brooks from the Warren Coalition. They discuss the upcoming Warren County Unplugged event, which encourages the community to put away their phones and engage in various activities to improve mental health and social well-being. Christa, the Executive Director, and Celeste, the Community Outreach Coordinator, share insights about the Global Day of Unplugging, for which Warren Coalition was recognized as an unplugged village. The event's goal is to help individuals, particularly youth, reduce screen time and its negative impacts, such as depression and anxiety. This year's event includes various activities, starting with a Youth Unplugged Party (YUP) on the evening of March 7th at the 15th Street Gym. YUP features a range of enjoyable tasks, from cornhole and volleyball tournaments to arts and crafts and interactive games. Celeste emphasizes the importance of offering fun ways for kids to connect offline, noting that excessive screen time has led to detrimental effects on teenagers' social skills and sleep patterns. Janet, Krista, and Celeste discuss the broader implications of screen dependency, including its impact on workforce readiness. Celeste explains that many young adults lack basic social skills as they enter professional environments due to their reliance on phones. During the event on March 7th and 8th, multiple community organizations and local businesses will participate by hosting unplugged-friendly activities, providing discounts, and offering prizes. Activities range from free pizza and popcorn to backyard games, foam archery, and resilience bingo. Celeste also highlights the Hyper Bowl party at the local bowling alley and several unplugged activities on March 8th, like an art exhibit at Samuel's Library, nature expeditions at Shenandoah River State Park, and scavenger hunts at the 4-H Center. The trio emphasizes the importance of creating awareness about phone usage and how it affects daily life, encouraging families to engage in screen-free activities. Celeste provides details on how to participate and win prizes by simply letting the Warren Coalition know they are unplugging for the event. Christa and Celeste further share details about the ongoing Edward Jones 5K, a town hall meeting on underage drinking, and other educational initiatives by the Warren Coalition aimed at improving community well-being. Listeners are encouraged to visit warrencoalition.org for a complete schedule of events and to support the sponsors and local businesses that make Warren County Unplugged possible.

One of the questions I've been asked by parents most often over the last few years is this: How old should my child be before I get them a smartphone? Of course, most kids are pressuring their parents, playing into the guilt of raising kids who they fear will be left out of what everyone else is doing. But we need to push that pressure aside in order to make wise and Godly decisions that are not based on our kids' desires, but on what constitutes God's best for them. Recently, more and more news stories are popping up reporting two very positive trends in this area. First, a growing number of schools are considering and implementing no-smartphone policies during the school day. A second positive trend involves parents in schools, communities, and churches who are banding together and committing to signing pledges to not give their children smartphones until after middle school. Parents, joining forces in this way is sure to benefit our kids in more ways that we can imagine.
This week, in episode 235, Jay Goltz, Lena McGuire, and William Vanderbloemen talk about their best days as business owners and their worst days. Not surprisingly, it's the worst days that often remain the most vivid—both for the pain they inflict and the lessons they bestow. For Lena, it was the day she felt so exhausted and overwhelmed that she knew she had reached her breaking point and had to do something different. For William, it was when the pandemic hit and he had to lay off almost half of his staff in one day, over Zoom. And for Jay, it was realizing that several young employees he'd tried to lift up were just not going to make it. Of course, the most inspiring part of these stories is what the owners did to learn from them and to rise above them. And then there's the day Lena returned from spending most of this past January unplugged to find that a whole bunch of things had fallen into place during her absence: “My business,” she tells us, “was running without me for the first time in my life. It felt so good.”
Kristin was asked the question a lot of podcasters eventually face: “but what if I want to quit?”If you're feeling burnt out, discouraged by download numbers, or questioning if it's worth it—you're not alone. The reality is, most podcasters hit a wall long before they hit their goals. So, how do you avoid being part of the 95% who walk away before reaching 100 episodes?Ask Yourself:What's happening in your life? If everything feels overwhelming, your podcast is likely reflecting that.Where are you finding rest? Unplugging for a week won't make or break your show—but it might give you the clarity you need. What can you take off your plate? Buying back time might mean outsourcing, simplifying your process, or saying no to things that drain you.Where can you find support? Podcasting can feel isolating, but it doesn't have to be. A membership, a mastermind, or even a group of like-minded creators can make all the difference. If you're feeling resentful, exhausted, or like you have nothing left to give, pause before you quit.
