Find out about the first 3 years of Saul's ministry and the journey to preach about the Son of God in the face of unbelief, rejection and plots to kill him.
We look at the second part of the conversion of Saul. We explore and learn to understand how we should expect the unexpected as part of our faith in God. Just like Jesus accepted Saul where he was, so Jesus accepts us where we are. We just cannot remain there.

(09:37-27:41): We were joined by pastor and former NFL Safety, Ray McElroy. He is speaking during a men’s event via Zoom at Christian Community Church. Via the CCC website: “We want to be men of God that lead and serve well at home, in the workplace, and in our most important relationships”. (27:41-37:05): Daniel Harrell writes “Keep Calm and Reboot” in Christianity Today. The Christian disciplines of self-suspicion, forgiveness, and hope all function well. We need to restart our faith in them. (37:05-46:38): Chris Ellis writes “Christian advocacy puts words and actions together in following God” in Baptist News Global. (46:38-56:02): Brian and ian discuss this piece in Beliefnet “3 ‘Christian’ Teachings That Jesus Didn’t Teach”. We in the Christian community have turned away from truth and wandered into these three myths for years. Let go of these beliefs now. (56:02-1:05:27): Greg Boyd writes “The Idolatry of Patriotism” in Relevant. The danger of idolatrous patriotism is not just about how we compromise our love for enemies. PLUS, “Politics Has a Strong Grip on Our Hearts. The Gospel’s Grip Should Be Stronger.” (1:05:27-1:14:23): Seth Godin writes “‘Because’ vs ‘and’” in his blog. The way you’re feeling… is it because of something that’s going on around you? Or are you simply feeling something and there’s a situation?See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
