The Ascension is not just a past event, but it should have a present effect in our lives. You can keep your heart and soul lifted heavenward no matter the circumstances.

The ascension of Jesus is not the end of His work but the beginning of the Church’s mission. As Jesus takes His rightful place at the right hand of the Father, He entrusts His followers with the task of being His witnesses to the ends of the earth, empowered by the Holy Spirit. This moment is a call to action—we are to step forward in faith, carrying the message of Christ to the world with the confidence that He reigns and will one day return.

Love God. Love People.
Jesus declared that his disciples would be his witnesses “to the ends of the earth.” Early Christians lived out this proclamation in powerful and palpable ways. Today we struggle to witness to those close to us, let alone to those at the ends of the earth. This series offers a glimpse into ways early Christians witnessed.

(**apologies for the poor audio quality this session) Even after His resurrection, Jesus teaches His followers about the kingdom of God. And He does so "through the Holy Spirit". If the glorified & resurrected Son of God relied on the Holy Spirit in communicating Gospel truths, so should we. Everything done in the book of Acts is done this same way - through the Spirit. Knowing the times and seasons of some things isn't a disciples' business - doing and teaching everything Jesus commanded is their business, and they only accomplish it through the Spirit. Jesus explains and clarifies that His mission and kingdom is global, and that the Helper will come to empower Christians to do what He's commissioned them to do.
