Send us a textWhat if divorce could be positive? What if unconventional choices could save your family? Allie Casazza shatters expectations in this raw, emotional conversation that will leave you questioning everything you thought you knew about relationships.Allie opens up about how she went from a religious upbringing and young marriage at 20 to building a thriving online empire that began with simple decluttering tips on a mommy blog. Her viral success in 2016 launched her into the spotlight, but it's her approach to personal evolution that truly captivates. Now certified in neurolinguistic programming, emotional freedom technique, and hypnotherapy, she helps women break free from subconscious limitations. The heart of this episode explores Allie's revolutionary approach to divorce and co-parenting. She and her ex-husband maintain a beautiful relationship where he still works in her business, makes dinner for the family, and gives her pep talks when needed. Their story challenges the belief that divorce must be contentious, revealing how two people can "graduate" to a different version of partnership that serves them better. This conversation goes deep into the struggles of blended families, the importance of prioritizing children's mental health, and the courage to make unconventional choices when traditional paths aren't working. Allie shares how turning 35 marked her transformation into becoming "unfuckwithable" – finally embracing her authentic self after years of hiding books from visiting parents and maintaining a vanilla persona to please others.Whether you're questioning your relationship, navigating co-parenting, or simply trying to live more authentically, Allie's wisdom offers a refreshing perspective: "You get to decide. You get to write your own story." Her parting advice? The relationships most showcased on social media are often the emptiest – true connection thrives in privacy and genuine care.Visit www.AllieCasazza.com to discover how you can make your life lighter in every way or connect with her on Instagram @allie_thatsme. Mother of four, best-selling author, top-rated podcaster, and life coach Allie Casazza opens up about how personal struggles, setbacks, and a crumbling marriage pushed her to question everything. She shares her journey of rediscovery, from overcoming religious oppression and mental health struggles to ending her marriage and restructuring her business. As she moved towards healing, Allie wholeheartedly accepted her mistakes and built on the lessons learned. Allie also shares how she revived herself and her business, moved from an 'I have to' to an 'I get to' mentality, and the transformative process she calls ”Becoming Her.”
Today we welcome Allie Casazza to the Crush the Rush Podcast. She turned her blog into a business 7 years ago while raising three kids under 3. She felt like she was in survival mode – and only focusing on things and “stuff” that didn't matter - while the main event, being a mom to her kids, was falling by the wayside. So, she started to physically declutter her space and found that her stress level dropped and her relationship with her kids improved dramatically. We have a super interesting discussion about CREATING stress because it's what you know! Allie shares that what your brain labels as unfamiliar, it translates as not safe. WOW! MIND BLOWN!Next, we cover decluttering your business. Allie recommends first looking at your calendar. Are you allowing time to work on your business OR are you filling your time with busyness and claiming to “have no time?” Being busy is never just about being busy. It's always something deeper – like avoiding or self-sabotage – and if you're doing something because you think you “should,” drop it, delegate it, or change the way you're doing it! Focus on what feels right and what's sustainable! Focus on rhythms vs. routines! In this episode we cover:Allie works to focus on what really matters as a momWhat happened when Allie physically decluttered her space Where Allie recommend sstarting to declutterWhat if you're creating stress because that's all you know? How to declutter your business If it doesn't feel right, don't do it!Allie defines routines vs. rhythmsABOUT ALLIE:Allie Casazza is on a mission to eradicate the “hot mess mom” stereotype by empowering other women to stop giving away their power and own their lives. The nebulous idea of “enough” is the topic of conversation in the season 2 finale of A Sunny Side Up Life podcast. Most of us struggle with this concept very early in our lives, as we begin to understand complex topics and facts of life like class, race, and inequity. But how do we handle not being enough as adults when not reaching “enoughness” has real mental, physical and psychological ramifications? I explore “being enough” by discussing our inner critic, the power of therapy and trusted confidants, and how social media will never be able to tell the full story. In this episode, you'll learn more about: The concept of enough and how most people look like they have it all together, even when they don't How the idea of enough is a social construct + what led Millennials to think they would never measure up Redefining generational definitions of enough + setting our own precedent of what is enough for ourselves Why you need to set your goals with blinders on + more MENTIONED IN THE EPISODE: Celebrate your wins reel Buy Yourself The F*cking Lilies Brene Brown How Do I Find A Good Therapist? Joanne Bolt is the founder of the B Word podcast https://www.joannebolt.com/blog/122 and the PodcastHer Network group.https://www.joannebolt.com/ She started her career as a consultant for one of the top five consulting firms in the world but pivoted to real estate. However, she soon realized it wasn't her passion and found her calling in podcasting. She finds joy in pouring into those she interviews, as well as her audience. She prefers to work in a group setting, where people can take what they want from her wisdom, and she does not feel the pressure of a one-on-one coach. JoAnne believes that many people need to identify why they can never feel complete in their current work....she did.... and she found that podcasting was a natural fit for her! BIG IDEAS FROM THIS EPISODE Monetizing Your Podcast Finding Your Niche Getting Started Networking and Collaborating Inspiration and Creativity Discovering Your Strengths Monetizing Your Podcast Podcasting can be used to make money, even if you don't have millions of downloads per episode. Focusing on women can be particularly lucrative, as they can make six-figure incomes. Podcasts are a great way to introduce potential customers to your business and help them get to know you. For those just starting out, content should focus on providing value to listeners. Finding Your Niche She tells a story of her friend, Allie Casazza, wrote Declutter Like a Mother and found success by talking about it with her husband, writing a book, and shifting her podcast to focus on cleaning out business space. To become a success, one must start with what they can currently offer and be willing to pivot their podcast in a group setting. Getting Started Podcasting can be intimidating for new users, but the Podcast Mastermind Group can offer guidance and advice. One way to grow your podcast and business is through Pinterest. It is important to remember that perfection isn't necessary, and that it's better to start than to wait. It is possible to start a podcast for free, but if you want to store episodes, you will eventually need to pay for a version upgrade. Initially, it's best to only spend around 50 dollars on equipment, but after some time, more expensive equipment can be purchased if desired. Networking and Collaborating Joanne Bolt offers a membership site for those looking to get on other people's podcasts without having to go in for interviews. Members can get access to the site and all of its evolving features. Joanne also offers an accelerator program which puts podcasts in groups of 6 to 8 for six months and teaches members how to swap ads and collaborate together. Additionally, members can take part in a two-part mini-series known as a “collab”, where one interviews the other and then they switch, resulting in two episodes and two audiences. The key is getting collabed with the right podcast host and arranging them to drop at the same time. HER BEST ADVICE IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT TO PODCAST ON....Discovering Your Strengths Become an expert in something you don't know and ask friends what comes easily to you. Help others solve their problems by asking the right questions and bring out the best in people. As an example, Sarah Gammel created a business teaching others how to network effectively, after someone pointed out her natural ability in this area.

It was early 2020 and my husband and I were bright-eyed and bushy tailed when we bought our land. Acres of East Texas pine trees, quiet neighbors (mostly cows), and a creek. We planned to build our forever home and get old and gray on that property… until Covid hit and lumber prices skyrocketed. Our dream no longer aligned with what we needed, life happened, and we made a huge decision that changed everything. In this episode, you'll learn more about: How to be stubborn about your goals and flexible about the path to achieve them Whether or not we sold our land at a profit or at a loss What we did and what we're planning to do with the $63K lump-sum Accepting the duality of emotion when it comes to pivoting in your life + more PAST EPISODES YOU'LL ENJOY: MONEY, MARRIAGE, AND MOVING IN TO MIDDLE-AGE WITH DANIEL WOMACK 5 MONEY CHOICES THAT HAVE CHANGED MY LIFE CREATING AN INTENTIONAL LIFE IN A CONSUMER CULTURE ASSUL RESOURCES: 1:1 Coaching With Sami: Apply today Instagram: Follow me on the ‘gram Facebook: Follow me on Facebook The Sunny Sqad: Join the VIP Facebook Group SHOW INFORMATION: A Sunny Side Up Life Podcast is a show for women who are ready to live an abundant life full of freedom + positivity. Hey friends! Welcome to Girls' Night! At the moment we're in between seasons here on the show. But while we're waiting for our next official season to begin, we thought this would be a great time to pull some of our favorite episodes out of the Girls Night archive. This is the perfect time to catch up on episodes you might have missed, or listen again to old favorites. Our guest for today's episode is my new friend, Allie Casazza. Allie is an amazing wife, mom, podcaster and business owner, helping women rid their lives of physical, calendar and mental clutter to make space for the things that are most important in life. And that's what this episode is all about! Today Allie is going to walk us through a process that will help us declutter our homes and destress our lives. Don't you love that? I think we ALL need this in our lives. I learned so much from Allie in this conversation, and just one of the things she taught me was that when we declutter our homes, it reduces our housework by 40%. 40% isn't that insane?! The second we finished our conversation I dove immediately into a closet to start the decluttering process, and I have a feeling you're going to do the exact same thing. Keep me updated, okay? If you find yourself buried in a closet while you're listening to this episode, I want to see it. Send me photos! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

The term “trauma” seems to be rampant in 2023… especially on social media. Being “trauma informed,” experiencing “childhood trauma,” or having a “trauma bond” are phrases used repeatedly to describe certain pivotal and disturbing life experiences and/or mental distress. And while sometimes “trauma” is over exaggerated or used incorrectly, the current spotlight on this pervasive problem has brought, front-and-center, the need to explore it in greater depth. This leads to the question: what about trauma and money? Can you have financial PTSD? Can you experience financial trauma? How valid are these things… or are we, as a society, being dramatic when it comes to this pairing? In this episode, you'll learn more about: What is financial trauma + who experiences financial trauma The 6 common ways financial trauma manifests itself in your body, mind, and life Ways to address financial trauma and learn healthy coping mechanisms Sami's financial trauma: money examples she had during her childhood, how these experiences shaped her money narrative + more RESOURCES USED: https://www.choosingtherapy.com/financial-trauma/ https://theneighborhoodfinanceguy.com/empowerment-and-financial-trauma/ https://www.forbes.com/sites/briannawiest/2019/04/04/financial-trauma-is-a-reality-for-one-third-of-millennials-this-expert-explains-how-to-recover/?sh=592085c130c2 https://plutusfoundation.org/2022/financial-trauma-impact-creators/ https://www.nerdwallet.com/article/finance/generational-trauma CREATORS TO FOLLOW: https://twitter.com/RahkimSabree https://www.instagram.com/stevenmhughes/ PAST EPISODES YOU'LL ENJOY: FEELING FINANCIAL STRUGGLE, COMBATING INFLATION & HOW TO OVERCOME FEELING OUT OF CONTROL WITH YOUR MONEY SPENDING FUN MONEY WHEN YOU'RE BROKE COMPOUNDING EMOTIONAL INTEREST ASSUL RESOURCES: 1:1 Coaching With Sami: Apply today Instagram: Follow me on the ‘gram Facebook: Follow me on Facebook The Sunny Sqad: Join the VIP Facebook Group SHOW INFORMATION: A Sunny Side Up Life Podcast is a show for women who are ready to live an abundant life full of freedom + positivity. That post kicked off the beginning of a real place where women could connect and talk about money and all other things important to them and soon after the post was published, Angela created the Women's Personal Finance Facebook community. Later that year, Regina wrote a guest post on Angela's blog about her newly coined term PrepperFi. Angela and Regina cemented their friendship over the course of Regina's son developing cancer and entering into treatment. Sometimes, great things come out of hardships. The Facebook community has now grown to over 70k members and is known to be one of the best, most supportive places on the internet. With WPF's expanded community and mission supporters, they offer a premium community, WPF Insiders, articles about money written by other women, access to money experts, resources about all things finances, a super neat swag shop, and more. My guest this week is Allie Casazza. In this episode, Allie and I discuss how to declutter our lives and environment so we can be happier and healthier. If you are listening to this episode as it airs, the start of the new year is the perfect time to cover this topic, as many of us are looking at our lives—homes, schedule, health, routines, etc. and saying, “Oh my goodness, I need to get things in order”, especially after the holiday hoopla. There is something about the blank slate of a new year that invites us to take a closer look at our environments and habits, and this can be a really good thing for us adults and for our kids. Research shows our physical environment plays a huge role in how we feel and function, and that includes how our kids feel and function too. Let's explore deeper to provide you with practical and doable tips to declutter, where to start, and how to navigate resistance and obstacles! You've probably heard the saying, "It's not about how much money you have, it's how you manage that money." Well, this episode is a perfect example of why that is 100% accurate. Haley and Justin Brown-Woods from Price Of Avocado Toast Podcast joins A Sunny Side Up Life podcast to talk about their journey into the personal finance space and financial coaching, how their lives have been changed by podcasting and what it takes to work together as a Millennial married couple on money management. In their early 20's, they received a $600k payout from a wrongful death lawsuit after Justin's grandmother died of mesothelioma. They each grew up in low-income single-mother households and financial education was not a priority. So you could say, they essentially won the lottery. They spent every last penny of the $600k and then found themselves in over $220k worth of debt in just 3.5 years. In late 2019, they decided to start their journey to financial freedom and they paid off $132k in 18 months.
