It’s true that the Holy Spirit gave the gift of tongues on Pentecost. But the gift was given for one reason: Jesus was proclaimed! The greatest gift of the Holy Spirit is to come to saving faith in Jesus!

Tonight is our Good Friday & Tenebrae service. The word Tenebrae is Latin for "shadows" or "darkness." It can also be translated as "night" or "death." We start with seven candles light. Then, we read and reflect the last seven words of Jesus. After each word, we sing a verse of a song during which a candle is extinguished. It’s a somber but moving time to reflect on the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus.
