Hearing loss affects many adults as they age. While the impact of hearing loss on health is varied, the relationship between hearing and cognition is notable. When it gets harder to hear information, you have to recruit additional brain areas to help you understand what you're hearing. A 10-decibel difference in hearing is equivalent to being two years older in terms of mental performance (e.g., memory). Identifying and treating hearing loss should be a priority because of its impact on cognitive decline. This podcast was never supposed to be about me or about dating. Still, half the people who have ever offered feedback on the show have asked for this exact episode, so... We all know that Rey loves women, but do women love Rey? Historically the answer has been, "no." Today on the show I sit down with Francine Moreno, Meredel Ababa, and Jillian Price, a committee of women I respect, to discuss my dating life in anticipation of Valentine's Day. Happy Valentine's Day, everyone. Wherever you are in your journey, I hope you feel loved. And if you don't, I hope this episode makes you laugh a bit.
Today I talk with an old friend I barely know about the ways that men can ruin romance. This isn't a dating podcast, but I knew it wouldn't take long for us to start talking about men, women, and romance. I have to hand it to Jillian. She did a great job with this one.
