YoutubeFacebookTiktokInstagramBioDJ Matrix first emerged on the electronic music scene in the mid-1980s with the release of “It's Time to Rock” in 1986 and “Feel My Bass” in 1988. Though he stepped away from music shortly after, those two tracks went on to achieve underground fame and built him a lasting fan base within the Electro and Miami Bass communities. After nearly four decades, DJ Matrix has returned with “Hypnotic,” a powerful, high-energy track that channels the same bass-driven intensity that defined his early work while fusing it with a modern EDM edge. The single features legendary artist Egyptian Lover, whose music first inspired DJ Matrix to pursue a career in electronic music, making the collaboration both full circle and deeply personal.DJ Matrix's journey is as dynamic as his sound. Following his early music career, he served in the U.S. Navy and later in the Marine Corps, including deployment during Desert Storm. Music had to be put aside as he focused on military service, raising a young family, and building a career outside of entertainment. He transitioned into corporate finance, becoming a stockbroker and later cofounding Randolph & Main Capital Group, where he continues to champion women and minority-owned businesses as Managing Director of Digital Assets. He also owned and managed professional basketball teams, including the Miami Pit Bulls of the ABA and the East Kentucky Miners of the CBA.Still, music never left his spirit. Encouraged by Egyptian Lover and rediscovering the international impact of his early songs, DJ Matrix returned to the studio with a renewed sense of purpose. His upcoming album, expected later this year or early next, will bridge classic Electro and Miami Bass with today's EDM landscape. With additional singles and a possible EP on the horizon, he is determined to give longtime fans the sound they have been waiting for while also introducing his style to a new generation of listeners. With “Hypnotic” leading the way, DJ Matrix is proving that his music remains as innovative and relevant as ever. Blending nostalgic analog energy with modern production, he is poised to spark a renewed appreciation for the Electro and Miami Bass sound that helped shape dance music culture.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/creator-to-creators-with-meosha-bean--4460322/support.

Death of the middle class: What is it: Anyone who has had to work to pay for rent, bills, food, etc. How to reestablish it: Corporate regulation, People over profit, Wage theft prosecution (no more deferred accountability loopholes), etc. (the upcoming series will contain specific examples)What's killing it: A system that prioritizes profits over people means: Catering to the wealthy and eliminating services + experiences for the middle class.Eliminating the working class from every direction. Culture, economics, sustainability, livelihoods, nothing is safe. Wage theft is the largest form of theft even if you take all of the other forms of theft that exist, combined. So they're stealing our money, benefiting from corporate bailout loopholes that they lobbied for, which means their own workers are paying taxes into the system that robs them of their own profits, and THEN Pricing us out with an increase in taxes, wage theft, and manufactured inflation. They've privatized or are in the process of fully privatizing everything: Prisons, Healthcare, Vet care, Wellness, Dialysis, Education, Housing, Politics, and the land itself… literally everything that should be in the best interest of the public and the world at large has been bought and sold to the highest bidder. But it is not hopeless. What is manufactured can be restructured. We can fight back, if we're strategic and conscious of the ways in which they're attacking us. This is psychological warfare, only when we recognize this, can we begin to push back + defend ourselves against these attacks. Männen hade skjutits bakifrån inne i bilen.
In this episode of Do The Work | Mindset Mastery, I talk about why supplements are not just vitamins. They are the extra inputs that help you operate at peak levels in every area. The lesson started at home with our dogs. Training them myself worked only up to a point. Real progress came when we added expert guidance. That same truth applies to business, health, faith, marriage, and parenting. If you want to last and not just compete for a moment, you must supplement your life. What happened Our dogs used to run wild the moment they got excited. Walks turned into chaos. Vet visits were embarrassing. We brought in a trainer and learned a simple command. Place. This morning both dogs stayed on their beds while Carla and I moved through the house. It was a visible shift. The right supplement changed the entire environment. The bigger idea Supplements are not only in a bottle. They are the people you ask for advice, the coaches you hire, the habits you choose, the food you eat, the books you read, the prayers you make, and the actions you repeat. I used to think all my problems were business problems. I kept hitting the wall until I invested in my faith, my marriage, my kids, and my health. When those deposits increased, my business followed. Ask the right people Many get crushed because they ask the wrong people the right questions. Do not ask for business direction from someone who has never built a business. Do not ask parenting advice from someone who is not involved with their kids. Respect people for what they do well and ask within that lane. I hired coaches for health, faith, business, and family. Carla is my spiritual supplement. I go to her because she lives in the Word and shares from experience. Own your decision Advice is input, not a verdict. If your soul says move and someone says wait, you must decide. Do not hide your fear behind someone else's opinion. When you outsource your choices, you erode your certainty. Take the guidance, measure it against your values and your vision, then choose. How to apply it today Audit your sources. Write down who you go to for business, for marriage, for parenting, for health, and for faith. Match the mentor to the category. If they do not live what you want, find someone who does. Make daily deposits into the Prime 3 power. Health and fitness. Mental and spiritual fuel. Family and profits through marketing, sales, systems, and leadership. Tighten the basics. Eat better. Move your body. Read daily. Pray daily. Set clear standards at home and at work. Check your environment. Simple commands changed our home. Simple standards will change your business. Conclusion The right supplement replenishes, energizes, and repairs. If you want a life that lasts, stop searching for a single fix in business and start strengthening every area that feeds your purpose. Ask better people better questions. Make your deposits. Then own your decision and move. Reader Questions Who are you asking for advice in each area of your life and do they actually live the results you want What is one deposit you will make today in your Prime 3 power that would raise your standard this week Where have you outsourced a decision out of fear and what choice will you own before the day ends Notable Quotes “It replenishes you, it energizes you, it repairs you.” “Make your deposits every day. The Prime 3 power.” “At the end of the day, you have to own your decision.” Follow A.Z. Araujo on Social Media: Instagram: @azaraujo Facebook: A.Z. Araujo TikTok: A.Z. In episode 160, I sit down with Marine Corps captain and children's book author, Riley Tejcek, to dive into what it really takes for a veteran to step into the world of publishing. Riley shares her journey from serving as an officer and competing for Team USA as a bobsled pilot, to becoming a children's book author with You Can Dream It, Be It!” published by End Game Press. We dig into how her military experiences — discipline, attention to detail, and resilience — helped her endure the publishing process but also how the military mindset of over-planning almost became an obstacle to finishing the manuscript. Veterans often believe every plan must be airtight before executing, but as Riley explains, creativity rewards bias toward action. If you wait too long to perfect the idea, the impact never reaches the audience. What struck me most in this conversation is how Riley's experience as a Marine officer taught her to lead, focus, and push forward with confidence and how those same traits can easily turn into perfectionism and overthinking when applied to the creative process. We talk about the balance between truth and storytelling, why stepping into the unfamiliar world of children's literature matters for veterans, and how writing offers not just another career outlet but also a way to bridge the military-civilian divide. If you're a veteran who's ever thought about writing, creating, or publishing, this episode is fuel. You'll leave hearing Riley's advice loud and clear: stop planning, start writing, and trust the process. In this episode: •My daughter meets Riley and shares her favorite part of the book •Riley's background as a Marine Corps Captain, Team USA bobsledder, and Division I softball player leading into children's book authorship •The motivation to write a children's book so kids, especially girls, can see female military role models early in life •How much of the book is autobiographical and rooted in her real family and mentors •The military mindset of over-planning versus the creative necessity of acting and writing before things are “perfect” •Lessons from the publishing process: seeking advice, facing rejection, and choosing a publisher over self-publishing •Challenges of collaboration with editors and learning to truly write for children •The impact the book has on both children and their parents, showing how parents serve as everyday role models •Future creative plans, including another children's book focused on deployment and global service Episode Sponsors: VM Merch Go Pills -- use "VM15" at checkout for 15% off your order. Iconic troubadour Grant-Lee Phillips—best known for his songwriting achievements with 1990s band Grant Lee Buffalo—is just weeks away from dropping his 12th solo LP In The Hour of Dust. “She Knows Me,” comes to us from that album and is one of his most personal songs yet; an ode to his longtime partner and an acknowledgement of the fears and insecurities that come knocking in the wee hours of the night. P.S. In The Hour of Dust has a very cool backstory that was inspired by a visit to the Norton Simon Art Museum in Pasadena. There, Phillips wandered the elegant halls to look at a collection of detailed paintings from India, one of which shares the title to this new record. Read about the insights gleaned from the experience in his own words here. And catch Grant-Lee Phillips for an intimate performance at McCabe’s Guitar Shop on Saturday, Nov. 8.
